Looks like someone has been playing around with Disney's hours again. Checked just a few days ago and the park hours were great, AK was closing at 8 now it's 6:00, MGM was 10:00 for most of my dates (April 11-18) now it's 8:30, also MK was till 11:00 most of my dates now it's 7:00, 9:00 and 10:00 ( a couple of days 11:00).

Those are some pretty hefty time changes for the week before Easter...Oh well, at least we will be in Disney!

Brightest Blessings,
Emmy

Wow, that is unheard of the week before Easter! I guess people are really staying home!

Actually, I just checked the hours and they still don't look that bad?? There are some 8:30 MGM closings thrown in randomly, but MK is open until at least 10:00PM from April 13-24.

April's hours for MK are now shorter than last year, when Easter fell in March.

FW is closing at 6pm March 23-April 11th, and April 27th through April 30th.

We'll be in WDW in April as well, I planned to go to MK, friday 11th, park will close now at 7, before it was 8.30. I have a PS for Ohana to see the fireworks from there, but now it looks like there won't be any fireworks at all that day !
Can anyone confirm please ??

Unfortunately, it does look like the fireworks have been cancelled for April 11.

Man :( Hours are shorter for the week immediately following Easter, too. It's bad enough that there is a grad night on my birthday, but now instead of 8:30, MK closes at 7.

AK was never intended to stay open until 8. That was obviously a mistake. The latest it ever stays open during peak times is 6:00.

While checking for hotel rates from 4/12-4/20 Easter day we noticed a lot of unbooked rooms and lower rates during this period.

Everyone may be a bit on edge with potential of war in the very near future. We just decided to go for it, and have a great time with the kidsregardles of what happens.

I thought it would be sort of light this past weekend, given the availability of rooms. However, crowds were significant and closing times early. Sunday, MK closed at 7pm and the mountains had 60+ minute waits most of the day.

What I don't understand is the discounts weren't as good as last year...maybe they are closing rooms again...

Disney cheapened ways, sure do,
make it hard plan a day at the parks.
Hours like that, sure makes that hopper
pass an outstanding deal, uh, what a
rip off.

You can make all the excuses you want,
but, all in all, Disney is getting cheap and
that is sad.

Good luck with your plans.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I can't believe this. It still is going to be busy now it's going to be worse. We won;t bwe able to leave the parks to rest with hours like that:mad:

There used to be a Disney Calendar of times on the right hand side of the main page. Anybody know what happened to it? I preferred the format of it over the true Disney Calendar. Does anyone know of any other good Disney Park Hour calendars?

They shortened the park hours, so maybe they'll lower the ticket prices to compensate:rolleyes:

Less for More is the phrase that fits, IMHO.

Hoping May's hours won't be shortened, but not holding my breath...

Oh Yuck. We're only going to be there 4 1/2 days. I was really hoping to maximize time. Well I guess we'll get more sleep than we figured on.

You know it's going to be mobbed. No matter what the hours are. There's now going to be a level of aggravation that wasn't there with the ability to go later at night.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This really stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The only reason I could rationalize paying peak rates for the week after Easter was because the parks were open LATER!!!!!

That's it!!!
They are getting another call from me! And an email!

I can't believe MK was open til midnight last year and this year......HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

That only gives us one opportunity to see Spectromagic!!!!

I Don't know how packed the parks will be. Just got back from WDW and the parks were empty compared to most years. On a Saturday, arrived at Epcot at 9:30, rode test track twice before 10am. I know that this is not a peak time, but usually every park is crowded on Saturday. On Wed, wait times for RnR were 5 minutes, ToT 5 min.

Disney isn't getting cheap, people just are not going.

Yea, maybe this week........BUT.........
They cut the hours for EASTER!!!! Their busiest week of the year!!!!

WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!

I'm still venting here!!!!
