April Exercise Challenge -27,527 minutes reported!

Wow, Lisa! You rock!! 11.5 miles? EEK! Good luck!
Thanks for the good wishes for my hip.

Kathleen – Somehow I’d upped your goal number by mistake, but I fixed it. That should make your color updates right going forward. :sunny:

You had it right, I got it wrong in the second post!
I was trying to make sure I got all the addition right, and instead got the goal wrong. Sorry about that!

4/7 - 37 minutes - abs/core & stretch
4/7-4/8 - 30 minutes - did a lot of yard work both days this weekend - I'll count 30 minutes as exercise.
4/9 - 78 minutes - 68 walk/(run) & 10 stretch

319/1200
Fixing that goal back to the original

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

March 9 - 27 minutes 30DS and 10 minutes bike

375/1000

Hi everybody! I'm new! Well not that new...but I'm a lurker.

Can I join the party late? Here are my totals so far. I'd like to sign up for 1100 minutes this month. The first week of the month didn't go as planned.

April 3 - 60 min body pump at 24 hour
April 5 - 30 min body pump (wrist started hurting so quit....)
April 8 - 60 min roller derby
April 9 - 60 min cardio sculpt

I'm at 210/1100 or 19%

Hopefully I can keep up with you guys!

April 9- 40 elliptical and 10 Ab workout
April 10 (so far) 40 minutes elliptical

Going to do another 40 minutes tonight while watching BL.

310/1200

Tomorrow will be a good day with an hour at the track on working out in the morning. I hope I didn't just jinx myself!

----------

As for me, I had 20 minutes elliptical and 65 minutes deep water aerobics. My new total is 610/1200.

Everybody is doing great! Keep up the good work...we are worth it, right?

I forgot to post on Friday, so I did 30 min weight machines and 30 minutes cardio

Then this morning I did 30 min w.m. and 30 min cardio

Hope I'm adding these right:

250/1400

I'm keeping up with my exercising, but I'm eating terribly! Maybe it was just b/c it was Easter and we had everyone over for dinner, but I ate a total of 3 pieces of cake over the weekend!:scared1: If it's here, I'll eat it. Need to remember all the hard work I'm putting in and leave that stuff alone!!:headache:

Great job!! I had you down for 130 last time, so your math is good. :thumbsup2

I agree it's really tough when there is a holiday or special event. I ended up bringing the leftover cupcakes and the cake I baked for Easter to my office yesterday, and have somehow avoided touching it.

It's hard, though. And today, a client brought a huge box of bagels and muffins - I just stood in the kitchen drinking my protein shake while everyone stood around eating muffins and toasting bagels.

It is not easy, but I keep reminding myself that every bite I take is a chance to get it right, and I only need to handle one good decision at a time.

I tell myself "if I can resist this right now, then that's a good thing." And I keep making that commitment every time there is a temptation. So, instead of feeling like I'll never get to eat "that", it's just "I can resist that right now."

Somehow, it is easier for me to handle only one challenging situation at a time. Others talk about making a lifetime change, but I need to handle it a moment or a temptation at a time or I start feeling overwhelmed and hopeless and a little bit despairing. Does that make sense?

Hi everyone, I'm hoping to slim down for Disney and would love to join you if I may!
I realize I'm 10 days into April but I was hoping I could just set a slightly lower goal and go from today. I haven't kept track of what I've done so far this month.

With that said, if that's ok with you all, my goal for the remainder of April is:

600 minutes

I'll hopefully be back this evening with some numbers crossed off :)

Great job on the workout!!

Another 20 minutes on the elliptical tonight!

330/1200

Not going to count when I give a massage at work! I want to earn this the hard way!

Planning at least 120 minutes tomorrow with elliptical, track walking and Wii Fit!

Have a great night all!

TTFN :tigger:

4/7 90 minutes - 60 strength training bootcamp and 30 cardio
4/9 90 minutes - 60 bootcamp, 30 cardio
4/10 60 minutes - 30 strength, 30 spin class
4/10 45 minutes tonight, high-intensity treadmill

I'm putting more emphasis on strength training now as I was just not losing as much weight as I had hoped. Time to build the muscles to burn the fat!

Cam - loved this quote! "It is not easy, but I keep reminding myself that every bite I take is a chance to get it right, and I only need to handle one good decision at a time." :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

makes sense to me.:goodvibes The change is that you are making exercise a commitment, you are looking at every situation and taking them as they come, and that you are moving forward no matter what.:goodvibes I think sometimes when we think of lifestyle changes it implies needing to be perfect, never needing to struggle, always being able to effortlessly eat perfectly. And that just doesn't work, in my opinion. I have days when I eat crappy and days when I eat perfectly. But I just try to make the healthy food out weigh the other stuff most of the time.

Treats are awesome and I think to go around thinking you can never have them again does not work for most people. We just need to learn to fit them, and that takes time and trial and error.

Just my 2cents.:goodvibes

April 10 - 30DS level 3, 27 minutes

382/1000

Congrats to all that have added more exercise minutes.

I ran 3.6km in 30 mins today and it felt great. I felt like I could have gone further but wanted to stick to my program and not push it.

111/1020

Hey, everyone! I think I have you all updated and color-changed to here, but please check me. It's hard to edit on the iPad.

LuLu- I think you short-changed yourself on minutes. My math has you at 375+27 = 402. If I'm wrong, let me know.
