April Exercise Challenge -27,527 minutes reported!

Well I treadmilled afer work yesterday. A new fast time for a 5K, 36:38!!! I can't believe it! I hope I can hold around that time for Sunday's race!!! Thanks Cam for the encouragement!!!!

I didn't get a chance to come back on last night, but I did 25 minutes on the treadmill yesterday. I wanted to go for a walk or get on the Wii Fit too but I was busy cleaning up and raking out side. So, short on exercise but at least I was outside and moving a lot!

25/600 for me.

makes sense to me.:goodvibes The change is that you are making exercise a commitment, you are looking at every situation and taking them as they come, and that you are moving forward no matter what.:goodvibes I think sometimes when we think of lifestyle changes it implies needing to be perfect, never needing to struggle, always being able to effortlessly eat perfectly. And that just doesn't work, in my opinion. I have days when I eat crappy and days when I eat perfectly. But I just try to make the healthy food out weigh the other stuff most of the time.

Treats are awesome and I think to go around thinking you can never have them again does not work for most people. We just need to learn to fit them, and that takes time and trial and error.

Just my 2cents.:goodvibes

I totally agree! I love working out and I love eating veggies, fish and chicken, but I have this sweet tooth that literally haunts me. I used to beat myself up every time I indulged, but now I just say, "That was yesterday, this is today" and try to make better choices today. This hour. This minute. :thumbsup2

Cam, thanks for the encouragement!:flower3:

This morning I did 30 minutes wt machines 35 minutes cardio

Great job, everyone! I love seeing all the minutes add up. :thumbsup2 You guys are rocking this challenge! :woohoo:

I think I may have to send out a PM to those who haven't posted in a while. I have a feeling they have all been so busy moving that they haven't had time to sit down and update here. :goodvibes

And so are you, Cam! :thumbsup2 Thanks for hostessing.

Did 40 minutes for a short run yesterday making a total of 290/1200 -- might have stayed out there a tad longer if I'd realized how close to 25% I was. :rotfl: Ah, well, today is another day as Scarlett O'Hara would say. :hippie:

Wow! I've got to get moving more if I want to meet my challenge.

Here's what I have so far:

Walking - 3 hrs (3 1 hr walks): 180 min

Biking - 1 hour: 60 min

Total: 240 min.

I've got some long bike rides coming up and will do more walking soon so I think I'll be able to meet the goal.

Cam - you are doing a fantastic job with this. Thank you so much!

380/1200

30 minutes Wii Free Step (though it said I only did 21 minutes? Don't know what happened!)

Watching last night's BL while I did it. Drinking more water and need to get cleaning! May have to do elliptical tonight as we keep having showers so I'm not sure about the track tonight. But I love both! Time to stretch the calves so they don't tighten up!

I just joined the boards and know we are half way into the month but I LOVE this challenge, I do a similar one on another board and have committed to 1800 minutes this month. I have less than 1200 remaining so I will join in today committing to those remaining 1200 minutes

today I took a 60 minute NIA class, 20 rowing, 50 weight training for a total of 130 minutes

1200/130/1070 remaining

Great job getting those workouts in whenever you can, Tracy. I am impressed! :thumbsup2

I'm exhausted just thinking about it!

:welcome: So nice to have you here. Great job on all those minutes. BTW, what is a "NIA class"?

I am getting ready to leave soon for the Y for a workout before my deep water aerobics class. I am prone to hip pain but it seems to have migrated and is almost debilitating today. It's a deep pain at the very top of my leg in the front and over toward the side of my hip. Very weird. Maybe doing the elliptical on level 16 the other night was not a good idea. :confused3 I think I'll just bike tonight with low resistance and hope to not injure it more/again.

Have a great night, everyone!

425/1200

45 minutes walking at the track

Planning on 40 on the elliptical in the morning...working tomorrow night so I probably won't get in another workout unless I'm up to it after work.

Great job, Tracey!

How is everyone else doing today?

I recumbent biked last night for 45 minutes and spent 65 minutes in the water for my deep water aerobics class, bringing me to 720/1200.

No exercise yet this morning but I did get on the scale and am down 1.1 pounds since Monday! :cheer2:
I wanted to take the dog out for another long walk but it's pouring rain outside. Perhaps some treadmill and wii fit instead!

Good work everyone! It snowed here yesterday, so I guess walking out in the parks is not going to happen anytime soon for me:-( Oh well, I've got the Y just 5 minutes away...

Got in 35 minutes of wt machines and 35 minutes of cardio this morning.

380/1400

Whoa! Dis glitch! Is anyone else seeing that I posted the siggys? Hahaha I didn't do that post...
