April 7 2013 Dream Cruise

This is our family's (me, dh, and 9 year old dd) first Disney Cruise and my first time on this forum. I am excited about the trip being only a week a way but a little stressed I haven't had time to check more into special and fun things going on. So after reading on here a bit, I feel a bit unprepared. Is there anything I need to know that I can do anything about in less than a week? Thanks so much!
Our first Disney cruise too.....SO excited!

You just deliver it whenever you want. We usually do it after dinner the first night, but it can be anytime. It is so much fun to get up in the morning and have a surprise, or return from lunch. or from swimming, or just look outside your door and see something there. If you're delivering your things and someone opens the door, I usually come back later, but no biggy. Just have fun and enjoy it Don't worry about when or where. ::yes::
Do we just do "one round" of gifts.....or more?

One gift per person/family is great. It is really just a chance to give them a special surprise, but don't go overboard (no pun intended). More than that, YOU wouldn't have time to enjoy this fantastic cruise. The thing to do is to have fun and relax:yay:

Wendy, You can gift as much or as little as you want. Usually at lease one gift per cabin. We usually gift the cabin once, and then everyone in the cabin on another night. Sometimes we might go a third time with extra treats so you have snacks for the movie, like before the movie OZ on this cruise. It's what ever you feel comfortable with. Just have fun with it. See Ya Real Soon. :boat:
PS: Your on the 2nd FE list, the 1st one is closed. I'll keep it open till Friday night. We always have extra gifts for last minute cruisers.

FEs are done, packaged, and triple counted. Kids are packed and I am almost there. Just a few more days!

I am taking my daughter on the Disney Dream Cruise on April 7 2013 for her 9th birthday. I am a single mom and it will just be her and I. I was hoping that there would be other single moms or dads on the cruise to talk to and make friends with. Also, since my daughter is an only child I was hoping that there would be other children her age she could make friends with and do different activities with. Any suggestions?

We have an almost 8-yr old daughter named Aubrey (with OCS - only child syndrome). In other words, she gets lonely but she is also spoiled rotten :). I'm sure she'd love to meet and chat with your daughter.

Skylar is 12 but is very good with younger kids. She would be happy to meet up with all the girls!!

Packing...... at least I'm doing it on Wed and not Sat night/Sun morning this time!

We use cruise parking of PC. We got their info at the Dis welcome center.

I am 21 but I am an only child myself and honestly I have loved every second of it. I know I am older than her, but I have been there if she wants to chat. Also, my parents are coming on the cruise and I am sure they would love to talk to you about raising an only child. :-)
Only 4 more days!!! Get ready to relax and enjoy the magic my friend!!!

We got all our FE's in one suitcase! Don't know when we'll pack? Tomorrow is Epcot Flower & Garden, Friday is Pontastic's sale on Koi and the Turtles concert at Epcot, Saturday is Kool & the Gang at Universal!!! Glad we got the yard finished today. We need this cruise to relax...LOL :rotfl2:
