Welcome. DH (dear husband), DS (Dear Son), DD (Dear Daughter). Google message board acronyms and you will find out all you need to know. Although there are few that are Cruise specific)

I'm pretty sure there's a sticky -- a thread that always starts near the top -- that explains a lot about the acronyms and basic info about the forum.

Just signed up for the FE. Last time we did the FE exchange I shipped the items to the terminal and had them waiting in the room when we arrived. Shipping was not bad and I didn't want to have to worry about packing all of that stuff. Our daughter loved doing the exchange!

How do we sign up for the lanyards?

I saw on the fe list your brother in law shawn is returning from Afghanistan, what branch of the military is he in? thanks

It's our second cruise on the DCL. Our first was in April 2012 on board the Disney Magic.

No, you can pick one up on the ship! also, there's a sail away deck party listed on your itinerary for that afternoon. If you really want to know the kinds of stuff that goes on, some people put post cruise navigators on disboards.

I am cruising for the first time and would love to do the FE exchange. How do I get onto a list? I have two DDs... Emma, (almost) 11 and Ella, 8. We are in room 10044. We are also cruising with another family with two DSs... Isaac, 11 and Titus, 9. Adjoining room10042, I think. We'd like to be on the same list. Thanks!

Both rooms will participate. I am going to give this a whirl, Disboards style:

Room 10042... DW - Jessica, DH - Daniel, DS - Isaac (age 11), DS - Titus (age 9).

Room 10044... DW - Beth (that's me!), DH - Scott, DD - Emma (age 10 but turning 11 right after the cruise), DD - Ella (age 8).

Scott & Beth have a 12 year anniversary being celebrated (actual date is April 27th). Emma is celebrating her birthday (actual date is April 22nd).

Both families are from Kokomo, Indiana...the City of Firsts. Both DHs are proudly Kokomo firefighters. Jessica runs a driving academy and hobbie farm. Beth is a children's therapist. This is everyone's first FE exchange. Jessica and Dan have cruised before. Beth and Scott are new to it all! Please feel free to ask me any other questions...I am an open book. We are very excited to be included...many thanks to all!

Shawn is in the Army and this will also be his retirement vacation after serving 25 years!

We did our registration and reservations last night (errr, early this morning) and didn't get at PAT. I googled, and see that because we're on the Disney busses, we don't get a PAT until we get to the terminal.

Anyone have experience with this? I'm wondering if that means we'll be jipped out of an early-ish PAT or not.

We have 19 in our group if that makes a difference.
