April 4, 2014 Wonderful Caribbean Cruise

This cruise we are going to do the dolphin swim at Grand Cayman and the horse back riding in Cozumel. Julie has spoken :lmao:

I kid; this is the point of taking each kid on an individual trip even years. They get to pick and plan excursions and I get to pay and play. No thinking or planning on my part. Odd years, I plan huge ridiculous trips with a lot of thought, planning, and research. I really appreciate the plan free years.:thumbsup2

Cool. Amy was looking into the horse riding before I found the cooking. Is this the one through the surf?

I am not sure. She told me horseback riding. I am going on 4 cruises next year (5 if you count B2B) plus I am headed to three countries Spain, Morocco and Portugal. Add to that I am headed to Australia and Fiji for three weeks this coming Nov and I haven't a clue which is which. Although, my 13yo just said I could have ended the sentence with I haven't a clue. :lmao:

Horseback riding in the water I think is Jamaica and I know I am going there with my youngest on a Halloween Cruise 2014. I think horse back riding in Mexico was a rainforest?? Although, I booked that for Cairns in Nov so I could be mixing that up as well.

Forgive me..once I get passed Christmas this cruise is my biggest focus.

Just booked airfare for $160 roundtrip  I am too excited as this makes it so real!! Had to share my excitement

Everytime I look at my phone (I have a countdown) I feel like jumping up and down. So excited! I can't wait, I'll be happy when its the week we leave. :-D

25 weeks!! With airfare obtained and the cruise paid off, it is now just a waiting game for the excursions. :coffee:

We should pay off the rest of ours next week. Probably get the air done in November. After that it's on to FE and door magnets :cool1:

I can't believe how quickly the time is going!
Our travel plans are slowing coming together, I still need to book flights from LA to Miami, Miami to Chicago and Chicago to LA plus the hotel in Miami for the night before the cruise and of course pay the final balance on the cruise!!!
I could possibly be leaving it all until school breaks for our Summer holidays in December :rolleyes1

We're paid up! Now for the wait for reservations :(

Looking to do a Palo Brunch on one of the two cruises. The last one we had the brunch and IT WAS AWESOME!

Warning I am completely off topic and random about my life:

Julie just asked to home school yesterday. I was just getting adjusted to home schooling a 3rd and 9th grader (that started home schooling in Sept) Now, add a 5th/6th grader to the list. I was a little bit overwhelmed by throwing a 3rd child into the curriculum day, but I think I have figured it out. Now, figuring it out and implementing the schedule could be a bit rough, but I am going to give it a go. :teacher:

Well, it looks like there are going to be quite a few of us doing the 4-4 and 4-9 B2B cruise. Just booked today and am going with some friends and extended family (also going B2B). I have only been on the Dream and Fantasy so am looking forward to the experience on a smaller ship with 1600 less passengers. This is during our spring break, so should be a "young" average age on the ship. We are adding to the youngsters with ds7 and ds5. Dh only request is to hangout on a float off the Cabanas on Castaway Cay. I'm excited about a second seating and the "dine and play" experience for eating without the kids part of each dinner.

I also need to know: does the Wonder have something like the Rainforest Room- the scented showers and steam rooms, heated loungers? (Crossing my fingers...)

We also are flying in about 9:30pm on 4-3 and hope to stay in a very close, easy to get to hotel by FLL. 4 people are going to be tired and cranky by that time. Recommendations?

I don't have any recommendations, but I wanted to welcome you and your family/friends to the group. :thumbsup2

First, welcome.

Amy and I are still debating on if we are flying in the night before of the morning of. When we fly the night before we normally stay at the airport hotel and sleep in until the Disney shuttle. Granted it is a bit more pricy and we haven't been to Miami before but we normally find airport hotels to be nice, very convenient as you just grab your luggage & fall into bed and we grab the free breakfasts on the way to the ship. Saves a lot of time and hassle running around looking for other hotel shuttles and then either taking that same shuttle back to the airport for the Disney shuttle or getting a cab.
