We have a lot of Princesses in this FE - We'll definately have to try to get the kids together for a quick meet and greet so they may have some 'familiar' faces in the clubs!:

You are so right! We have at least 9 girls age 8 or under in our Fish Extender group! My DD isn't a "princess"--Stitch is her favorite character but she would love to meet the other girls.

I think a "meet" would be a great idea. On our last cruise, we met at around 3:00 in the afternoon on the day we boarded. Of course this meet would be for everyone on our board--not just those with DDs. Sound like a good idea to anyone else?

That sounds great! On our December cruise, we met in the Promenade Lounge at 2:00 or 3:00 on boarding day for a meet and greet. My kids LOVED getting to meet the other kids and make a few friends early!

When doing the fish extenders, do you give to something to each couple and child every day or just once a day? Thanks!!! Can't wait for the cruise....it is just around the corner!

From my (limited) experience with fish extenders, you really just need to do something one time during the trip. We are already up to 8 families participating--which is a nice manageable number. If everyone gives one time, there should be more than enough FE fun for everyone.

It is up to you whether you want to do something for the adults. I know that on some cruises, the FE participants don't have children but in our case all 8 have children. I just thought that depending on what someone does, they might want to know the family situation or the parent's names. I say "focus on the kids"--unless someone disagrees.

What you give really depends. I know there are several threads where people share what they have given and received as FE gifts. On our last cruise, I gave goodie bags with misc. Easter things in them (since it was Easter then too). We received an assortment of "Disney themed" stuff--notepads, key chains, etc. Usually in goodie bags. One FE participant gave all the kids maracas from Cozumel (one of our stops). I know that many people get creative and make things for families (i.e. small photo books, magnets, etc.). Hope that helps!

Haven't been here for a long time and wanted to say hi! Just got my Cruise Documents today.
I'm glad to see so many people on here. I haven't caught up on reading yet, is there a logo for this Cruise, is anybody planning a meet and greet? I would like to be a part of the FE, but I don't have enough posts to pm anybody. I also need a FE, how do I get one? If all these questions have already been answered, sorry! I will be going back and reading all the posts.

Hi unkamike! Welcome to the group!

I guess you've probably found answers to most of your questions, but I'm not sure we've talked about where to get a FE. There are a few Disers who make them and sell them on eBay (just search Fish Extender), but you can make one without sewing. We're up to ten families! Cool.

We'll finalized plans for a "meet" later. I think the Promenade Lounge sounds good. Last time we tried to meet outside but I thought it was difficult to find.

Anyone who is planning on participating in the "meet" might want to make, get your hands on, a Mickey silhouette in DISBoard" green. (Kind of a neon, lime green). If you can't make one, you can go to Home Depot and "borrow" the paint chip from the Disney line of paint--I assume they still exist. Or you could just find a piece of lime green paper and "wear" it. I have a post-it note sitting next to me that is the exact shade.

Got our cruise docs yesterday! Ordered the fish extenders from gradysmommy on ebay yesterday, now to get started on gifts for fish extenders!!! It is getting close! I love reading the boards - you find out the greatest things!!!
