April 29, 2012 ~ Aloha! ~ Wonder to Hawaii- who is with me?

The first two I like. The only suggestion I would have on the second blue one, would be to put the word Disney on it. If it is there I missed it. We would be happy with either one.
OOops - I did go back and see DCL on the shirt.

I got back two shirt designs. One was pink - which I liked but I don't think would be popular. The other one was nice but very dark. So I think I need to send them more detailed instructions and art work.

Thanks to Erik for giving me great input and ideas. I would like to get feedback in regard to STYLE - not a final design - that I will get from the company making them and then I will post for your votes. So below are a couple of styles of fabric and logos. Give me your input but remember: THESE ARE NOT THE PROPOSED SHIRT DESIGNS TO CHOOSE FROM. I am just trying to get an idea of what is expected or hoped for.

I mocked these up from graphics I got off this site and the web so they are ROUGH and you should not be concerned about the quality of the graphics. I am mostly looking for input as to likes and dislikes regarding traditional vintage style, bright and 60ish, or more Disney with a little Hawaii. Also, remember this is representing a small sample of the fabric, like about a 6 inch square.

I think the third one "Disney Wonder" should be the pocket...on any of the shirts....kinda like the last one....

keep us posted!

We'll be staying at Saratoga Springs, the best time for us will probably be to meet from the 29-31st (my parents will be with us the week before and my inlaws the week after), but we can of course make some plans closer to the date!

Sounds like a plan! We would probably be good anytime. We only have a few ADR's for dinner. We are going to wing the rest of our meals. I am not sure how busy WDW is at that time of year, but I have been in August, which I will NEVER do again, and we have been in early Sept which was not all that bad, so we are hoping that late October will be good. Both for crowds and nice weather!:woohoo:

I like the first one and the last one. The color of the blue one may be more palatable to men, but to my eyes, it 'jangles'. The graphics themselves are fine.

My 1st choice is the 1st one. My guys would wear it because it is bright and that's what Hawaii is about. The second one is good but I agree with a previous poster that the graphics make it harder to see. The last 2 IMHO aren't the colors I think of when I think Hawaii. But I will go with the flow.....

Love love LOVE the last one. More "natural" colors that would go with everything (just MHO) and reminds me of the Aulani decorations. (took a tour of the model rooms)
For some reason, the dates in the first two just look like math problems.... :rotfl2: I agree with the idea of the "patch" graphic as the pocket... that would be neat, even though I don't like pockets! Really like the font on the last ones too.

:)

Thanks everyone for your PM's and your reviews of Paradise Pier so far...

Elaine..1000 plus pictures last Disneyland trip ..And we do not seem to have taken One picture of our PP room...Blows my mind...:confused3..We snap pictures of everything..I think we were sooo excited to hit the Park...we blew out of the room..Sorry no pictures to send...Still shocked at that...Jm is a picture freak ;).....sharon.......

I really like the last two...but I would have to say that the very last one is my number one choice. I also like the colors of the last two.

Again, thanks so much for your time and effort.:worship:

Hawaiian Shirts....

Like the first one. I don't care for pockets, but my hubby likes them. We would be happy either way though.

This was a great idea! Thank you so much for the time you are spending on this!

We definitely would be interested in getting these for both of us. We added 2 friends to our cabin, and they could possibly get one for each also.

Judy

I like the first one the best and the fourth one. The blue is to hard to see Disney against graphics and the second isn't "Hawaiian" enough. I would love first print best just because the other has more of a horizontal line to it and as an overweight female that is something I always avoid - don't need help to look rounder. The Disney graphics are great, especially if they include all the original 5.

Is anyone going to be at WDW Sept 20-23? My husband and I will be staying at ALL Star Sports. They will be having the Mickey Very Scary Halloween Party then. We have done the Christmas Party but not the Halloween .Anyone have any suggestions about the party?

The Magic pulls into Port Canaveral on the 24th and we will be getting off. Staying at BWV for the week.

We are going to the MNSSHP on the 27th. Have been a couple of times, most recently with Holly and Steven. Hope you will still be in town and we can meet up.:cheer2:

I like the flower border on the brown for the front of a shirt - without any disney graphic, it would bemore generally wearable, even after the cruise is over. The last one with the horizontal print, I would love to see as the border at the bottom of a skirt or pants to go with the flower border on a shirt. I have to face it - I just LOVE fabric. Do you love designing it, Val? (Remember, I've seen your fabulous fish extender:)

Hi everyone ... just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I'm still aboard and still gung ho with the Secret Mickey. I've even started on the FE gifts :). Saw the shirtd post and loved them. WOuld love to get in on them. I liked the last one as well !

I know I haven't been around for a while, but I'm going through some trying times with my Mom right now, and don't have time for much else. Don't want to get into too much details, as I don't want to bring everyone down, but if you get a chance, can you include her in your prayers. Thanks.

MJ...so sorry to hear about your Mom....I just wanted to let you know that Mom and I have been thinking about you and we keep you and your family in our prayers.

I wanted to thank everyone for their PM's and their posts about the Paradise Pier....after some careful consideration, Mom and I decided that we loved our stay at the DLH and we have decided to stay there again before the cruise....and we are going to stay at the Paradise Pier after the cruise.

When I called DL tonight, the discount gods must have been smiling down on me because I was able to secure a senior discount for our upcoming stays both before and after the cruise so it made our stays more affordable (we saved almost $1,000).

Thanks again everyone, I appreciated your honest feedback.
