I have FINALLY gotten this thread read....whew....over 2300 posts! now to respond to folks who said hello :)

Hey Padalyn!! We cruised together for the most recent MR cruise. I am the Duffy owner. I am glad to see that we will be together again for the Hawaii. Does your bear have a name yet?
I do remember you guys - the dancing team!!! Yes, the bear finally 'fessed up her name - it is Miz Rainbow!! I have lots of photos of her in all kinds of trouble....all on Facebook.

Welcome on board. There is a link to the Roll Call on the first page and you can add yourself to the Roll Call itself and to other activities like Fish Extender, Secret Mickey, Scavenger Hunt, Champagne Girls, etc.

Corinna
I found it somewhere around post 110...signed up for a few things, may sign up for more...time will tell.

I was wondering where you were, Cayla! :goodvibes

I added you to the lanyard list (since I know you'll want a lanyard)-----are you in your room alone? Or are you with Michael again on this trip? If so (or even if you talk to him) and he wants a lanyard, make sure that he sends a note to me at the lanyard email at dcl.hawaii.lanyards@gmail.com
Oh Erik - it took me forever to get the thread read completely. Yes, Michael and I are traveling together, I PM'd you and you answered so we are good there...the lanyard list is looking pretty long...on the roll call I was entry 154 :scared1::laughing:

Welcome Cayla!
Hey Lynn...glad to see you guys are on here!!! How is Scott liking retirement? His facebook posts seem to indicate he is doind well :dance3:

A few general comments....Club 33 is well worth it, I have been twice, and would love to go a third time!!

Don't skip DLR if at all possible - IMHO it is the park that Walt built.

DLP - I loved it...the themes carry through so well, even the music transitions from one area to another. I loved the restaurant in Agribar (spelling??).

Australia - I didn't hear Karl say anthing in response to the question on the Alaska Platinum/Gold meet n greet...

Alaska merchandise - was as messed up as the Dream stuff was for the first day - then it settled down, unlike the Dream...I still am miffed that we were expected to give up dinner to buy maiden merchandise (I didn't and missed out accordingly).

I have sorted and posted my photos from my B2B2B trip....they are all on FB, I opened up one album to general viewing, because of the images....Michael and I walked to the Lion's Gate Bridge on May 10 - we watched the Wonder sail away - I took photos from the bridge down onto the ship - interesting perspective!

Now that I am caught up on this thread...off to read the Fantasy one....

Cayla

We will be at the Doubletree at the port before the cruise, anyone else staying there? We will do our DL trip after the cruise (to hit weekdays instead of the weekend).

Cayla - yes, Scott is loving retirement!!!

We're there! We loved it when we stayed there before the repo/Alaska cruise.
When are you getting there?

We stayed at GCV after the canal cruise. It was fantastic. Hoping to stay again in April or May. I really need SW dates to do this and I don't think by Sept 27 they will be out. It looks like we will have 1 night before and after. Points for DL hotel are 36 and can be booked now.

I have a room held here at the moment....only reason I can see to give this up would be if by some miracle, I was able to get to go to Club 33....I would then stay at DL (duh!) :lmao:

You booked one for me too...right?

...mind like a steel trap.....

Stilll haven't decided where to stay before the cruise. Right now it might be the Candy Can Inn. We would love to take part in a pre cuise meet.
We did the dinner package after the PC cruise and it was great. We had the scooters and we lucked out where they put us. We might do it again.

Hi everyone,
Apologies I just don't seem to make it to the DisBoards much but will try to check then more often. I have quite a few pages of posts to read over to try and catch up on what I've missed.
I've sent lanyard requests - Thank you so much Erik & Jason :thanks:
Not sure if anyone has taken on organizing the Room Tours. If not, I'll be more than happy to.
We'd love to be included in the pre-cruise drink/s etc. the evening before. Again if no one is organizing this I'd be happy to organize it.

I am so very undecided. I just can't decide on what I want to do with my before and after stays. I am fighting with myself on whether or not we want to come in a couple days early and do DL and then do a hotel near the airport the night we get off the cruise, or if we just need to come in the night before, stay near the port, and then stay a night after near the airport.. :confused3.. I hate big decisions!.. :rotfl:

DL for sure if you can manage it. :thumbsup2

I'm in the same boat! :lmao: We're probably going to go to DL in September so we can spend more time and also hit Universal. The kids have never been before. But we really wanted to see The Haunted Mansion in its real/original skin, so I'm trying to decide if we should just do DL with the cruise. What lovely decisions. ;)

I stayed there before in 08. It was nice and easy ride to port. I might do that again for this cruise. :confused3 I just can't decide.

I have finished my door decorations.:woohoo: I only have one thing left for my fe gifts, the hard part is done. I also just finished my Wonder Dec. cruise scrapbook. I feel like I am ahead.........for the moment.:rotfl2:

Anyone have inside information on the Wonder dry dock ? I am hoping they replace the cooler box.

We're thinking no DL for us on this trip.If we fly in the night before we'll be gone 16 nights. Given I only get 3 weeks of vacation it seems I should save some for a trip to WDW in the fall.

Catching up on posting - I get a daily email digest that I find keeps me current on the posts - much easier than scrolling through them on here. ;)

Re: WoC - totally agree with the others...no seating unless you're in the handicap area where they have benches, but the package is worth it. We also have tried the picnic...during a less busy time it's OK, you get to choose from several 'cold' meals that you can pickup when you want them and get a 'pass' for the 2nd best space behind the package area...if you get in there early you can find some space in a good line of sight, but you'll be sacrificing some time in the park since it was about 45 mins before the show started. Hoping to see it from our room at VGC once - just to see what that vantage point is like.:goodvibes

We own at VGC so we used our 11 month window to book our room for 2 nights before the cruise. :thumbsup2 We'll just go home the day we return from the cruise.

We're in the 'last weekend before vacation' mode right now - trying to get stuff done before we leave for Barcelona next weekend. Really need some time off work and spending it on the Magic is no better way...plus this one will make us platinum before the Christmas and Hawaii cruises.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :wizard:

I fancy the Queen Mary for the night before the cruise, but we will probably have 2 nights pre cruise. would the Queen Mary be a sensible place for 2 nights?

We will go to DL afterwards!!!:dance3: Still trying to work out what to do around that 20/21 days as we want to be over for 6-8 weeks again to make the cost of the flights worth while. Might go to Orlando for a week or so first and fly over to LA. Ah, what a lot of decisions.

We are going to DL in September/ October, but are planning to spend 2 or 3 days there after the cruise as well.

Anyone have inside information on the Wonder dry dock ? I am hoping they replace the cooler box.

So far the only thing that I have heard is that they will enclose what is now outside seating behind Beach Blanket Buffet. We will be on the third cruise after dry dock and I can report back then what has been done.

We have never been to DL, we are frequent WDW visitors, and are going there this October. I am taking my Mom on this Cruise, and she has never been to WDW or DL, so thinking we might need to take her. There is something about walking into the park and seeing the castle... :cloud9:. Does anyone know the price differences in a good neighbor DL package, and the DL resort packages?
