April 29, 2012 ~ Aloha! ~ Wonder to Hawaii- who is with me?

A cruise I was on in January stopped in Ensenada. I was not looking forward to it, but was surprised that the main shopping area in town was a lot nicer than I thought it would be. We had a pleasant day there.
Definitely NOT Castaway Cay....or any other Caribbean location...but it wasn't bad and it wasn't scary.

Last time I was there I got off and in about 5 min went right back on the ship. I have friends that went there about a month ago, and wished they stayed on. They said the hour they were off the ship, they were constantly looking over their shoulder. I guess different impression for them than you.

Well I was thinking I would go in and see what the cost was to upgrade to a 10 so we would have a split bath, and it was about $600 more for us. I decided we can use one bathroom for 15 days! I would rather use that money for excursions or toward a vow renewal in Hawaii on the beach.

So there are still category 10's available.

Oh and for grins I decided to see what was left in suites - only one bedroom's and the cost for 2a/2c was $18K+ Would love to do it - maybe I will win the lottery this weekend!

So excited for this trip!!!!!! Does anyone know what the obc is for this sailing for platinum? I think I was so excited when someone finally answered the phone this morning, I forgot to ask!

Lots of friends are showing up on facebook booked for this cruise too! It's going to be a fun time.

I LOVE starting and ending with a mess of sea days. But somehow I don't think Ensenada probably won't be like finishing a cruise at Castaway Cay! :rotfl:

.

Ensenada will be yet another sea day for us! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

Waiter more Singapore Slings and Mai Tais for the crew.....

Whoa! It's been YEARS since we have had a Singapore Sling. That was the drink I had on my 21st birthday, a LONG time ago!!

For the Roll Call how does a google spreadsheet doc sound? That way everyone can just update their part as they need to? I can set it up when I get home later!?!? If there is a better idea too I am up for that too. :)

Sounds super! Thanks. :flower3:

If they can get bookings. Rumor has it that DCL reps were telling people throughout the day there is a fair chance that much of the ship will be sold out today to Platinums and Golds....and another friend of mine (who hasn't logged onto this list yet) got shut out of some of the categories of rooms she was looking for....so i have a feeling this cruise sold like hotcakes today! :thumbsup2

Glad to see we will be sailing with you two again! Welcome aboard!

Platinum is $350 if you booked while onboard and are transferring it. I don't know what they offer if you are just booking a new ressie today.

My agent told me this afternoon that it was 1/2 booked already but you have to consider that some rooms were given courtesy holds until Saturday and will not make the required deposit. Those rooms will be released back into inventory on Sunday and then will be available to be booked at a higher rate.

So the Castaway Club party will be a full house?!? LOL! Sounds like this one was a definite hit for the first booking day! :)

Google roll call sounds great - thanks!

was the PC this year not 15 too? I did not pay attention-I loved 15 nights on the WBPC in 2008, it spoiled me to long cruises!
Yes

Jason and I are booked. We're still not 100% positive we'll be able to do the trip (depends on whether we can get the vacation time cleared at work) but we wanted to have a stateroom in case we can...if we have to cancel later, we will.
So as of right now, we're onboard. Stateroom #6062 (mid-ship Category 5B).
ALOHA!!!

So hope both of you will be sailing with us. Look forward to seeing the daily update on your door and your great formal accessories.
I am so hopping for a excision that includes a trip to the Arizona. This is the main reason I want to go to Hawaii. This time maybe I will meet some of you. If anything in the pin line.

Plenty of time to think about it but instead of paying for an excursion you can rent a car and go on your own. There is no charge for the launch nor tour of the Arizona and then you have a car to go where you want; the beach; the FLEA MARKET.

It's wonderful that you will be on that cruise, too.
Corinna

Corinna - so glad you both will be on this cruise too. Are you sure we can't get you to move your first of October cruise to the Halloween cruise?

That would be great, thank you.

On the WBPC in 2008 there were so many Castaway Club members (this is before the tiers - and everyone was invited) they just had a big deck party! For me that has been the only cruise that has happened on. It will be interesting to see our numbers of each category for this cruise! Maybe we can add that to the spread sheet?

How exciting to be cruising with you folks again.

hi we are in for this cruise also.
We will be on the Alaska cruise together as well:thumbsup2

Called back and transfered my dummy cruise. Love the savings and the OBC!

Wow! Sounds like some of you have seen this booking rush before!

I can imagine all the Platinums preboarding, too LOL! This is going to be a fun group... :)

You are so right about the Platinum boarding. We will all be going in at the same time, LOL. Much like cattle herding. Oh my, that comment reminded of of the PC terminal for the MV of the Dream. NIGHTMARE!

I will be more than happy to pay the DCL price, after what happened to my wife on the PC cruise in Cabo, there is no way I will ever book anything on my own.

After being on hold for 2 hours, I got thru and was able to book for hubby and myself; Lindsay and bf and many of my clients. It's so great to see so many familiar faces on this cruise especially from the WB 2010 Transatlantic.

Bev :thumbsup2

Ok everyone...here is the link to the roll call...

ROLL CALL SPREADSHEET

Let me know if you want anything changed or added. I made the settings so others can update too. :thumbsup2

I went ahead and "assumed" that we will be having an FE exchange. We can also add other things to this list as events/things are planned.
