April 29, 2012 ~ Aloha! ~ Wonder to Hawaii- who is with me?

I'm just coming off the last Alaska Cruise and was off of here for 3 weeks. I leave again Aug 1st for another little get-a-way for a week.
While we were gone our house was tented for Termites. No food in the house, which means a BIG grocery shopping trip for me.
I need help - can anyone let me know what, if any, wrist bands, shirts, etc being designed for the cruise that I may have missed and knowing me would like to order.
I now think that my two grandestdaughters will be sailing with me on this trip.
Our family of 10 on the Alaska Cruise all agree that it was a trip of a life time. For me the best part was sharing the trip with my four grandestchildren/adults.
Now we are looking forward to this cruise.
I will start reading this board backwards later today.

:lmao: We have been having pleasant weather since summer finally arrived late June. We have hit 90 degrees a couple of times, but mostly in the mid to upper 80s. Really nice. Have I mentioned that I LOVE Montana? ;):lmao:

That would be great, but...we are traveling with 2 other families and have made plans with them that will keep us on the move! :sad2: They want to go to the Fish Market on the way home, so downtown Seattle (ugh!!) is on our list. They have not driven in Seattle traffic before, so we shall see if they think it was worth the effort afterwards. We have one street here in Missoula that gets backed up about a mile on a bad day during "work traffic" and that is the extent of our traffic problems.

When are you leaving home to go to cruise? Will you have computer access onboard? I will look up best directions to see IF there isn't an easy way to get there coming from the north. From the south I can get you there with two turns :)but I am not sure from the north (should be I live north now) with construction. Don't have time right now but will check in a later....if I can't find an easy way for you then you may have to talk them out of it. But it is so worth the trip....awesome seafood there lately when I have been. When we go now we are already in Seattle for Dr appt which is why I haven't "had" to learn a good route for going like I used to.

Wait a minute....3 couples - one vehicle - with luggage for cruise...what are you driving a bus???

I am also a nurse to and we used to live in Seattle and drive to Montana ever summer in our Minnie Winnie. I am also from Virginia and both my Uncle and Cousin went to school at WM. My one cousin even was married there.

So where are you now? :rotfl:

Joyce, the good news is no final decisions have been made on anything yet...so you're good I think......

We leave tomorrow am. I did a mapquest and it says to get off I-5 on Union then some turns here and there. :) We'll just try to follow the directions. Dennis is pretty good at figuring out what to do if we can get to the general area. Thanks for all your help! :worship:

:rotfl:Dennis did want to go buy a 14 person Ford econoline...but we didn't get that done so.... Two vehicles with walkie-talkies. :lmao: The other driver has not been out of Missoula and surrounding area much except for a stint in the Army 40 + years ago. He is quite concerned about the traffic, etc. He is also VERY excited about his first cruise. :woohoo:

I was looking through some threads this morning and thought that I would like to start a Photography group or meet for the cruise! I love taking photos and would love to meet up with some others that would like to do photos while on board.

I have also been looking at doing a photo excursion in kahului, but of course, it is probably to early to start really looking into that.

This is a great idea...I would be very interested in getting together with other photographers during the cruise. Here are a couple pics from our last cruise.

Hi Everyone,

This is our first post because WE JUST BOOKED!!! Yes, it was a minor miracle requiring what was probably our entire quota of pixie dust, but who cares? We're going! I tried DU but was told the ship was booked, then figured I'd call DCL and ask if there was a waiting list. The agent, Linda, checked the cruise and gasped...there was a cabin available! We're in Cat. 11A, but that's quite all right...we're going. Have I told you we're going?

I know there are a few of you that we met on the Transatlantic last year (MrsMork convinced us we should take this cruise), so a big shout out to all of you. And we can't wait to meet everyone else.

WE'RE GOING!!!! :yay::yay::yay::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Great photos! I am happy to see that people are interested in this! I'll definitely take the reigns on hosting a photo tour or two! Will definitely be bringing my external hard drive to transfer my photos on to!

These are just our of the 950 that my wife and I took. Let me know if you need any help with this idea. Sounds fun.

I just bought me a brand new camera with 2 different lenses so I could take awesome pics of our WDW trip this October and pics on this cruise. Yes, I spent over $800 on photo equiptment that I have no idea how to use.. YET. I bought now, so maybe by the time my trips roll around, I MIGHT be able to at least take a half way decent photo! I would probably be interested in this activity. I love to take pics, especially of my vacations with my boys!.. They are still young, so photos are the only way I can keep the memories going!.. :cheer2:

Welcome, welcome, welcome. Wish you were excited! :lmao::banana::woohoo:

As with most of the midwest, we too have been in this stinking heat wave/semi drought.. :confused3... Anyhooo, I am happy to report that I am looking out my front window and am seeing lightening and hearing thunder. I only have hopes that the sky will let loose and let is have a good drenching! I also hope the same for all those who are suffering with these crazy temperatures, because they sure are NOT tropical! :sad2:..

Sorry, I had to post, because the thougt of rain now has me all excited, my garden, (veggie garden) not my yard.. (for all of our European friends)... :rotfl:Sorry again, was remembering a LONG time ago when we had this American/English discusson about what words meant here and there....
