I haven't been here awhile and I just noticed that our sign up is missing from the candy swap fish extender and from the scavenger hunt. Who do I reach out to? I know I am not here often, I just can't, I wish I could. I bit overwhelmed, husband had a heart attack three weeks ago and we have been a bit overwhelmed with all kinds of health test and evaluations. Can someone please help, thanks!!!!!!

Glad to have you back with us and sending prayers your way that all turns around for you to enjoy our cruise in just a month's time.

Val -- the DH just bought three, yes 3..that is 3 Hawaiian shirts a month before the trip...why? They were on clearance, they are for work, they are a good price. etc etc.

Geez...have I suggested that we really don't want our hubbys to meet up?

I think it would be great if they meet and spend time taking about clothes and shopping for clothes - of course they won't admit it is shopping and clothes, it will be investing or experiencing art history through fashion or some other blather. We know it is shopping and clothes

Lots of hugs and prayers coming your way. I do hope your husband is improving. My husband also had a heart attack late last Sept. and my mom just 10 days ago. Life is a journey for sure!

After 33 years with his company and only 5 years away from early retirement with no penalty my dh was let go from his job ...."downsizing"....

Thankfully they offered him a 2 year severance package with full pay, benefits and 50% off all services (he worked for a cable/cell phone company)

We thought about whether we should continue on to do the trip... but only for a second... Since it is paid for and all planned, we will go ahead with it as scheduled.

The entire thing is unnerving... never thought this would happen......and I think I am still in shock.

So sorry to hear your news, my DH was also let go from his job just over a year ago, so I know how scary and heart wrenching it feels. Two years severance package is amazing, and you're very fortunate in that aspect. It turned out well for us in the end, and I hope it does for you too

All I can say is that I have never seen such deep fear and despair in his eyes, than the day he found out that he had this heart attack. The thing is that we really have no idea when it happen and that is what has him on edge. Approx four weeks ago, he complained that his neck was hurting (stiff) and it would just get worse, a week went by and it kept getting worse so we went to visit the doctor because of his high blood pressure and to check his neck and when the doctor checked him his pressure was sky high and he decided to do an EKG and you wouldn't know, doctor suspected a heart attack. After that came confirmations with tons of other test, MRI, brain scan, stress test, tilt table, ECO, blood test. Lord it sure was a test, but we are here, he is standing! But for sure fear is prevalent in his eyes, the fact that something so silently came to damage his heart, I think has left him also with a mental scare.

Oh my! I bet it is frightening for him (and YOU!) that he did not know when it was happening. Hoping he get excellent care and followup so that he can put his mind at ease as well as healing his body.

Congrats on 9 years! We started young--we were 20--but waited 7 years to start a family as we were finishing college and getting started on jobs.

DH did not want to cruise the first time either.
When we got back from a Land-and-Sea package in 1999 he said he enjoyed it a lot more than he expected. I asked him why we booked it if he did not think he would like it and he said "because I knew you wanted to go."
Now THAT is ROMANTIC!!

Graham was the same. I had wanted to cruise ever since seeing the adverts for DCL during our honeymoon in 1998. He did not want to go. He finally agreed to take a cruise in 2008 and fortunately we both fell in love with cruising. He really did not expect to enjoy it at all, but he did. We both love cruising for different reasons, but that is OK.

Well I only got one number on my lottery tickets. Then again I only bought 5 tickets. It was fun though. Looks like a rainy day here and a good day to get lot's done.

Tonight at 8:00 PM on TNT is the movie the Hornets Nest. We worked on that a couple of months ago. Not sure how much we will been seen due to editing but we were at the awards ceremony and in hall. The actress in scene was Virgina Madsen. Now time to before I get my day started.
