My, we are having a rather tough time with our Dis cruisers health and retirement issues. Prayers and pixie dust for all who are facing Life struggles.....

Let us hope this cruise can be a new beginning, a healing, a reward or a celebration. (Three years cancer free for my DH). We are newlyweds, only 34 years......Based on the numbers I saw posted, we have some impressive shoes to fill.

Speaking of numbers, is everyone still here? That means none of us won the lotto.......We are not one of the 44 states that could play...Oh well...

Work beckons today so no time to play!

(I have such neat ideas for the Easter Eggs this year.....Let us suggest they will be an Aloha theme).

Glad you will be joining us, Deb!! :woohoo: You really could have joined us before - Geezers In Training really can be any age. :dance3:

YAY!!!! I thought Geezers had to be 60 and GITs 55. Well no matter, we definitely qualify since John is 61 and I'm 55. I'm looking forward to it.

Me and DH John are working on our 22nd year together. April 29th is 22 years since first date and Sept 29th is 22 years since our wedding. We didn't wait long in between each. We both knew right away. We were older and more experienced. I was 33 and he was 39. We started late.

Well I played $5 and John played $5 in the lottery last night. I had one powerball number and that's all. I won $2. WOOHOO!!!!

We said if we win, we'll charter the Magic and bring all of our friends.

Sadly, we didn't win. BUT we are going to Hawaii in just 4 more weeks now. YAY!!!!!!

I have received checks (and cash) from the following ladies for the champagne girls:

Fran, Jan, Val, Tina, Connie, Marie, Charlotte, Joyce, Jennifer, Liz and Angie. Thank you all so much for being so generous.

I still have about 20 ladies that I have not heard from. Unfortunately I will not be able to let them attend if they show up at the door. I cannot accept any money from them and it would not be fair to everyone else if they came in without contributing. So I will have to turn them away. This really saddens me. But I have tried contacting them more than once on FB, here, PMs. I don't know what else I can do.

:rotfl::lmao: That was our exact plan to, Deb!!! :rotfl2: Sadly, we did not even win $2 with our $10 contribution. :sad2: But, as you say - WE ARE SAILING TO HAWAII IN 4 WEEKS!!!!:woohoo:

Oh no! GITs are anyone who wants to learn from the pros how to grow old without growing up! :thumbsup2 Well, they do need to be at least 18 since we gather in the Cove Cafe. ;)

I have every intention of making at least one meet and I am only a spring chicken with 37.

Jewellery Making Workshop Participants- Calling All Earlybirds

I have started to work on the groups for the jewellery workshops and to make this work, I need a least 2 more and ideally 4 more Early Birds from those signed up. Those workshops will take place between 8:00 and 9:00 AM at the Cove Cafe. The workshop that I am trying to fill at the moment will be taking place on the 4th sea day. So far I have the following people signed up for the Early Bird workshops:

My DW and I have been married for 52 years. We are both 73 years old. (Feel like a couple of kids though.) I took early retirement from my company in 2001 after 40 years. I then went back as a consultant for 5 years in 2006. Three sons, 7 grand kids, 6 great grand kids (the youngest 5 months old) This is our 11th trip on DCL and we are looking forward to many more. See you all on the cruise.

You must check in at Cove Cafe in an evening (guess after late dining?) to see if any Old Geezers are about. We tend not to pre-plan anything, because no one would remember. I'm sure you will find someone sipping hot chocolate, or something stronger :drinking1 and munching chocolate chip cookies, who will give you a warm welcome.

:cool1::thumbsup2 We are preplanning the first night - around 10ish, after late dining. :cool1: Hopefully at least a few of us will remember so we can make an initial meeting and get to know one another. After that, check in and see if any of us have remembered to come. I think we and Albert and Ann made it most every night on the TA. Such a great way to end the day.:woohoo::grouphug:

52 years! Congratulations! We hope you will join us at the Geezer Meet! We too feel like a couple of kids, more so now that we are retired and get to play more. :yay::

999 Old Geezers, but there is room for one more! :scared1: :scared: :dance3:

I have also amended the information on the roll call.

Thank you Corinna. I need to upgrade my computer but it has to wait until after cruise. Maybe the long rest it will get while we are gone a month will help it :)

where are you getting late night chocolate chip cookies????

On the 2008 WBPC, Benita had a plate delivered to Cove Cafe for the Geezers. But, sadly, the young men in Cove Cafe on the WBTA did not take such good care of us.:snooty: :sad2: We can order to room and bring our own if we want or just eat the tidbits that are in the cooler in Cove. :thumbsup2 :woohoo:
