Got shirts, got earrings and I'm like a kid on Christmas morning. Need to wait till hubby come home, so he can try his shirt. So who will wear this shirt on embarkation day?

I'm glad I continue to check these------------MrsMork is not doing FES I put my name on the original spreadsheet, but removed it a couple of months ago - not enough luggage room both ways for FEs this trip. I have notified Heather and she has removed me from all her lists. Unfortunately several others seem to have lists as well, so if you are making FE list off of other lists, MrsMork on deck 5 is not involved this trip. Next time though!!

I have removed you from all of my lists. I got a bit behind updating them as I have worked some funny shift patterns recently, but they are all up to date now.

As an aside, for those that remember a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned my father-in-law was fighting a loosing battle against cancer, he passed away this morning. He will be missed but we are pleased he is no longer in pain. Thanks for those who sent their kind wishes and emails over the last few weeks.

It was a 7 night Western pre inaugural training cruise. Everyone on the ship was either a Disney cast member, or a family member or some kind of promotional personell. We went to Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel and our own Castaway Cay. It was just like the real cruises coming up after the Maiden Voyage, except the entertainment staff were still working on some routines and shows. We did have Pirate Night, and the fireworks were great.....We saw the new show, Disney Wishes, but I am not going to tell you anything about it

The ship is almost like the Dream, but I actually think the decor is even more beautiful!

You are welcome - I find a single page is SO much easier when lugging all the FE gifts all over the ship. Since I am doing all the groups - that is almost 100 gifts (ooohhhh, my luggage is screaming already!)

I really need a logo for my secret Mickey gifts. Has anyone seen or can you create a question mark with Mickey on top??? Head or body...doesn't matter. I want to print some stickers and/or labels with a logo like that so I can put one on each little gift I want to leave for secret Mickey so they know when it is from me and not a FE.

So sorry to hear this Paula. remember when we went thru it. We just passed the 3rd anniversary of my FIL's death from lung cancer. Hope some healing can begin for all involved.

I was just going to post if anyone had a single page list. Glad I checked. Also, FYI, I got upgraded but for some reason I didn't get upgraded on all the lists, my new cabin is 6152. I'm under 5636 which is no longer me .. Sorry about that. It's is now: 6152. Anyway I can ask you to update your record in case others like me print yours out? That you.

oh, I need ideas on what to make with my 2 yards of fabric.....I don't need a bag, not enough fabric for a dress, what to do what to do?

I had two yards and was able to make the skirt....I had one piece of 14 inches left - no border was left, along with several scrap pieces.

I originally planned a tiered skirt but after making the pattern with cotton I abandoned the idea for this fabric. Fair warning, it frays, so I ended up with lining it as well as finishing the seams. It is much better for straight stitching and not gathering....But I am not a regular seamstress.

Enjoy whatever you decide.

Our shirts are hanging on the outside of two closet doors--the entryway closet and the hall closet--easily visible in our condo. The more I see them the more they make me smile.

I think I may wear mine every day. Like a short sleeved jacket over whatever shirt I choose. My daily outfit is culottes and a polo--this will coordinate with everything in my closet. It will go with the tote bag I decorated with appliques made of the elements of the fabric which will be holding my reading material of the day, the Navigator and my mascots who will be wearing their matching shirts every day.




Yup I am highly likely to wear it every day!


If the time and place for the group photo is not determined until we are on the ship, I bet Val will leave a phone message for us telling us when and where to show up and say cheese!

?? Skirt?

Seems like a dirndel skirt would be easy. Cut the piece where the repeat starts, hem the bottom so the border shows, seam the sides, bind off the edge or fold over and stitch again as this stuff FRAYS!

Cut off a couple inches of the top to be a waist band. Gather the skirt onto the waist band.

or

fold over the top to make a casing and run elastic through it.

Maybe ??

Jan, I lined my skirt as well to assist with the fraying on the inside. I used a gored idea, sorry no pattern to post as I adapted one from the tiered skirt abandonment. I felt elastic was easier, and because of elastic the gored has less fabric at the waist. I sorta need the extra fabric at the hips.
You are tiny, I saw you pattern size .....

Lining also helps with the waist band casing.

The downside of using a gored pattern is that it will take the entire two yards in order to get the border to work.
