GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Finally had a little snow last night - but it's already melted off the road. Some winter!

My FE gifts are done - one per cabin - NOW all I've got to do is get them to California.

People who've driven on various islands in Hawaii - Please comment on your experiences - where do we not want to drive? What to watch out for?

Good Morning All...we have been able to take a few of our own drivi g tours on the Islands. The rentsl car companies used to preclude drivers from certain areas and last we were there you could not even go all around the islands. the road to Hanna is one. I,d suggest you study the maps ahead of time. The distnaces in Hawaii are short BUT many roads are two laned. The issue will be the timing so we are not waving at you from the ship. I woukd be most worried about time. We have actually been all aroubd the islands and there is nowhere I woukd not go from a safety standpoint, but from a limited timeing standpoint, I think you need a plan on what you ant to see and how to budget the time. there are several websites on driving Hawaii on your own and some suggested routes, also some great books. I am sure there are aps, but have not looked.

So in geneal, if you do road to Hanna, you may not have time to plan the other shore or central area for Haleakula...if you do, great a bonus,,,,

I'm reading aobut the shuttle time involved with the rental cars....and am re-thinking ournscheduke as well,,,,,

I see no one answered your call for help. I am sure it is because we aren't sure what to tell you. Are you using both of the fabric sections you have for the skirt? Don't know if this helps but can you put the skirt pattern bottoms, both the front and the back pieces so they are just below the text border? That way while you wouldn't be matching the side seems, the patterns would match? Wish I was there to help you. Val

Val, thanks. Can we have a rule that no one can bring a tape measure on board.... I decided to match the border. I made a gored skirt. Perhaps I shluld have used a straight skirt...but, I had an idea in my mind. naturalky my mind, my pattern and my body size were not communicating....

But the skirt is done...I will post a pic when I get to the main computer, not sure how to do that on a pad.

I matched the borders but the mickey ears are not matched where the font sections were joined. Perhaps a better seamstress could have figured all of this out.

If I catch someone peering that close to my skirt to see if my Mickey Ears are matched, I shall have to give them a good swat.

My group is taking the Hollywood & Waterfalls tour. If you get a chance you need to see the Descendants ! The whole movie is filmed in Hawaii and there is a scene in a rest. the same rest. that we will be having our lunch on the tour. Excursions are taken from on board account.

YEAH!!! Me and DH are on the same tour. I can't wait, it looks like lots of fun.

It is a lot of fun. During Champagne Girls on the Panama Canal cruise, I discovered my new favourite sparkling wine, Enchanted Rose.



I love the purple version of this dress. I am hoping to get a pink one for Champagne Girls, the purple one and hopefully a blue one.

I have found on the Transatlantic cruise that I am happiest wearing sun dresses around the ship on sea days. They are more comfortable than shorts/ pants and t shirts, weigh less and also take up less room in the suitcase. I will only take enough pants and t shirts for the port days.

I'm so excited - this will be the closest I'll ever get to George Clooney! I'm hoping to see the movie soon. My son is a budding movie maker, he's taken a number of filmmaking and visual editing and effects makeup classes. We just did the Universal VIP tour last year, so he's excited about this one also.

I am wearing a pink t-shirt with capris. I think you can take 2 suitcases per person, plus your carryon. I suppose you could take more, never heard about DCL saying anything to anyone about it.

Those who have the group cruise shirts coming and want the Vista tee's I am going to try and mail them together so as to avoid additional mailing costs. Saw Beauty and the Beast on Broadway made me more excited for the cruise. There was even a little girl in her Belle dress, it was very well done. Especially Gaston!!

Oooohh - we should do the math, the description say's it holds 14. My group is 3, and EllaEnchanted said her and DH for a total of 5 so far, how many are in your group? Who else is on this one? Of course I guess it's possible they are doing more than one bus/tour which might be why availability opened up again - oh well its still fun to speculate!
