Found this in another thread....since it for Wonder its important for us..

New norovirus rules on the Wonder.

Just an FYI: the norovirus has caused some changes to how food service is handled on the Wonder.

All Buffets are now being served. Very manpower intensive! Also makes the lines go slower.

Self serve drinks and ice cream are now served. This was a real bummer as the lines for the drink station got very long and was frequently only manned by one or two CM's which made the line go very slowly. That took much of the value from it for me.

Still with all the precautions, there was some on the Feb 12-19 sailing that were quarantined.

I don't like to stand in lines, but I will if that means I have less chance to get sick on the ship.....maybe this rule is only now at the top of flu season and because of so many norovirus cases.....

there has been lots of norovirus on all the ships this winter.....not sure why but on our central florida tv stations they are always reporting that this ship had to cut it's cruise short or that one had a bad cruise.

But i can tell you that disney cruise line hasn't been in the news all winter,so to me that means that they are handling it pretty well.

During our morning meetings each sail day, they report that we are on mid-to-high gi (which means norovirus) and that we have to really watch our guests. But the port has to make the decision on whether the guest cruises or not.

Just stay well everyone...take your zinc and vitamins!

I recently read that a Carnival ship (pretty sure it was Carnival) had to dock a couple of days early for a rigorous cleansing due to over 3% of the ship's population (crew and passengers) having norovirus. We also had a school in the area closed from it.

No you did not.....in fact I literally just sent an email out to the 24 other members of the lanyard team (it's 25 total including myself and Jason) with the instructions for making your donation to the lanyards. So keep an eye on your email for the info...should arrive any second.....if any member of the lanyard team has not gotten the info, send me a quick note by email or PM.

Along the same lines, this would be a good time to once again acknowledge the remaining members of the lanyard team (some have had to drop off, but luckily we had a crew of "back up" members to fill the slots). For those who have ordered (or will order) lanyards.....make sure you say a big thank you to:

Oooohh - we should do the math, the description say's it holds 14. My group is 3, and EllaEnchanted said her and DH for a total of 5 so far, how many are in your group? Who else is on this one? Of course I guess it's possible they are doing more than one bus/tour which might be why availability opened up again - oh well its still fun to speculate!

There is 4 in my group. Mickeymom923 ( Bev ) her DH Lou and poohbear926 ( Lindsay. If they have more then one van........we could all go in one.
