Travel Channel has a great special on Hawaii on Saturday, one showed Old Lahaina Luau and Puka Dogs, just made me more excited!!!

77 days!!! Looking forward to it!!!

:cool1:

the closer we get the more exciting its becoming. :yay:
I have rental car reserved in Oahu, lunch reservation at Aulani and shore excursions done for the other islands.
I cant wait and I hope the last couple months fly by like the first few!

We booked our vow renewal yesterday for Oahu and are very excited. Everything is falling into place.. :)

As you can tell by the date I registered and the number of post that I am a long time lurker. I am sure I could win a reward for it, but this cruise has me rethinking my style. No more standing outside looking in. On this cruise will be me (Kristan), husband Dewayne, and son Kaleb who will be a month shy of five when we cruise. We are all looking forward to this vacation and can't wait for it to finally be here. I think I have all the planning done.

I have read all posts and after posting this I will go back and sign up for the FE. We are all excited to be doing this for the first time. I finally made up my mind today on what our gifts will be so I am headed off to Michael's later. Hoping they turn out as good as they look in my head.

I am training for the Disney Marathon (first time for that too) so I will be running everyday on deck 4 so if you see a women who looks like she is about to pass out that would be me so please say hi. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.

Kristan

Signed up for this new site that sends me daily e-mails of books available for my kindle for 99 cents for that one day only. Today among the dozen or so offered were 4 romance/mysteries that were part of a series..all 99 cents EXCEPT the first book in series :) but it was only $4.30. Figured 5 books for $8.26 was still a bargain and they all sounded like one I would enjoy. The site is called Pixelofink.com if anyone would like to check it out.

On another note I was just checking out the prices for fresh flower arrangements in cabin and the cost had me doing some research...there are two arrangements I really like, one I had on Alaska cruise but it was definitely cheaper. Thought the difference was a lot for a year increase so I looked at the same two from a 6 Disney ports. LA is a rip-off! Hidden Mickey arrangement costs from $39 in Canaveral, $42 in Seattle and Vancouver, $45 in Galveston, $52 in New York City and $57 in LA. Caribbean arrangement is even worse..$37 in Seattle and Vancouver to $65 in NY and LA and $68 in Canaveral.

I'd think FTD or Telefloral would give them a set price no matter which port so they must be contracting with individual florists. I'd be tempted to go to a local grocery store and get an arrangement to carry on if it wouldn't be so hard to do with daughter in wheelchair loaded down with other carry-on (like our diet coke :-)....

Ok I am done venting and sharing for now  Hope everyone is having a great day!

I ordered it on the telephone with the same order for the shirt and hat. I wanted flowers but the ones that I picked out were for Easter and not our sailing. She tried to sell me Caribbean arrangements and I said NO I'm going to Hawaii and I don't want Caribbean. Then she said she has fresh flower leis...mine are purple orchids. So just call that number on the same page as all the other Hawaii gifts.

Thanks!

Also try ereadernewstoday dot com. Sometimes they overlap w/pixelofink, but free books for the Kindle are great!

and ...YOU LOOK MARVELOUS! :thumbsup2

Hey all,

Just a quick reminder that if you want lanyards, I really need to receive your info before Friday of this week (2/17) so I can make sure to order the correct quantity from the distributor I'm using. Directions to order your lanyards can found in a post on page one or the "lanyards" tab of the main google spreadsheet with the roll call and everything.

....also, I saw someone posting a query about whether or not we'd know people's DIS names from the lanyards....and the answer is yes.....in the spirit of our friend Ken, who made me my very first DIS lanyard, what I usually do is put everyone's real world name in big letters on the name badge and their DIS name in smaller letters beneath. For those who don't have their own DIS name (friends, family, etc.), I usually put the main DIS name in parentheses. So, for example, on my name badge it will say ERIK with "tig82174" beneath; and on Jason's it will say JASON and beneath it will say "(tig82174")...so when people see me, they'll be like "oh, you're tig82174" and when they see Jason (as if we'd ever not be together :lmao:---those who have cruised with us before know we're kinda inseparable) will say, "Oh, you're traveling with tig82174" :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for their warm welcomes. My family is traveling from Memphis. This is our first time in CA. We are arriving late Friday and staying at the Candy Cane Inn.

Well I bought all my supplies for the adult FE and made the first one with the help of my four year old son. We thought they turned out well so hopefully you guys will also enjoy them. I figure I will get all of these made and then start on the kids. I want the next months to go quickly but not too quickly. :)

We are also at the Candy Cane. Arriving Friday as well. My oldest son will be just a month and a half shy of 5 years. Maybe they will run into each other!
:woohoo:

I bought flowers and carried them on in Spain for the TA. Biggest problem was finding a vase to put them in. But, they lasted all the way across, and we were happy to have them.
