Does anybody know how many formal wear and semi-formal days we will have for a 15 night cruise. I remember my PC cruise which was as long as this one....had mexican night and tropical night in addition to pirate night. I think there were two formal and I don't remember how many semi-formal nights there were....one, maybe two. Plus Palo clothes for brunch and dinner if I get lucky. Oh, I'm Platinum so they have to give me at least one free meal there.

Since my current clothes don't seem to fit well anymore, it's time to go shopping and I need to know what I'm going to need to wear first.

There will be one formal on 4/30 and then a semi- Formal on 5/10 and 5/12. I hope you get in for your free Palo.

Did anyone else get a Refund today, we did of 42.78. I assuming its just some taxes.

I'm betting we will have a Hawaii themed night as well, but we have shirts that will do us fine for that one!! :thumbsup2

You are so right. We will definitely have a Hawaii themed night......I'm so glad we have our shirts.

We've mailed out the fabric to those who responded to my e-mail that they were ok with the size and layout of the pattern. Some of you asked that I send it with your shirts and I will. I still need to hear back to my e-mail from a few of you. If you didn't get my e-mail, let me know.

I got the fabric today and it looks wonderful. Val, thanks again for all your hard work. It is far above and beyond the call of duty. I can't wait to get the shirts!

I received our material today also...It looks great!!! Very soft and such vivid colors...the pattern is PERFECT!
Now...what fun I can have with it! Maybe a skirt or a FE...
Thanks again Val for doing all of this.

This from Kugalbelle via facebook:

Just a quick check-in. We're currently at Aulani been here since Sunday and leaving on Saturday.
The weather has been rainy and windy from Monday to Wednesday and better today Thursday.
We rented a car and have done a trip to the north shore, Turtle Bay and the Dole Plantation on Monday.
Tuesday was really awful so we ended up staying at the resort and not dpi g much. Yesterday we drove into Honolulu and did Diamond Head.
We chatted to DVC onsite on Wednesday. They were completely unaware of the shore excursion but did seem excited about the news.
If you'd like me to find out info eyc let me know and I'll see what I can do.
I'm on my iPhone via the FB app and not logging into the DisBoards so if anyone would like to repost this there that would be great.

Okay, so I'm starting to get my list together of things that I should bring and I want to see if I can cut a few things out. So, I have a few questions if someone wouldn't mind helping me.

1. Hangers - They already have 6 in the closet, right? I want to limit my hanging items to how many hangers they already have.

2. Shampoo, Conditioner, and Lotion - I know they already have products in the staterooms. Do they replace them as you run out or can you ask for more?

3. Wine you bring yourself - Should I bring a bottle opener too? :)

4. Hair Dryer - Are the ones in the room any good? I didn't use it at all on our 3 day cruise but the 15 night is a lot longer.

Thank you in advance for the help!

1: ask for more - I usually end up with about 25 due to Michael being a clothing person!

2: new every day - expect your luggage to be heavier - H2O makes the BEST products I have ever used!!

3: bring it - NEVER into the dining room (in a bottle - I use a wine glass) they will charge a corkage fee of about 40.00 (I think that is the current rate), yes bring a wine opener - you will need one - try for the plastic type, the metal wine keys tend to get confiscated becuase of the foil blade (lost 2 that way)

4: the hair dryer is so-so at best. I use it but tend to gel instead of being frustrated. I also have a small travel dryer, but it usually gets cut for weight issues.

on the general note side - be sure to bring an extra bag - there are only a few onboard for sale and they go pretty quick! I bring a foldled duffel bag and put all the clothing in that and just pay for the second checked bag.

Hangers...this works if you do notnhave to fly....I folded my clothes on the cheap dry cleaner hangers, along with the plastic. then on board, instant unpacking. When we went to PC, the hangers were left behind. worked great.

taking an extra bag is a great tipmas well, for all those Hawaiian shirts we will buy....:lmao:

we carry a corkscre, but make sure it is in your packed luggage or your kinf folks at TSA will confiscate it.....

I am sure it will not hapoen on this cruise, but I had forgotten my conditioner and did request more and was informed due to the length of the cruise, I could only have two containers......so now I do not count on having it reolaced. Again, maybe I had a newbie roon host? I just love the h2o products.....and have found them locally to extend that just cruised feeling.

Have a good Day all.....

PS, I pickednupmthebpattern fornthe cruise material last night.

We had so many hangers in the closet last cruise that I stuck the extras in a suitcase under the bed - they literally filled the bar from one end to the other.

I'm so excited.....I had to buy new luggage for this trip and I found a 2 suitcase set for $300. I needed to buy one set for me and one for DH. I kept waiting for a sale to get some money off. Well they just put up a Valentine's Day sale and I got a notice in my email. I bought both sets today and saved $200 total. I'm so thrilled.

I just need to pay for two non-DCL excursions and buy some new clothes and I am done and ready to go on this cruise.

Champagne Girls....I ordered our flowers for our hair. So that's done and I already have our leis. We're ready to go. Now we just have to wait until I can contact DCL and get a date and a room.

Hi Fran, it's $0, $5 or $10 cash at the door depending on which category of taster you are. It's all explained in a link on page one. You can choose to be an honorary member, sipper or taster.....some tasters call themselves guzzlers. haha.

Works for me. This is my first Champagne Girls Extraveganza and I am sooo excited. fran:dance3:

I have a question, does the 66 cabins include the people that are sharing cabins ? :confused3 I know there are people who are sharing cabins including myself and we are doing seperate FE so that really would be 2 cabins and not one. Thanks :)

I know you are not the only cabin with unrelated folks sharing - maybe there could be a note of some kind on the FE list to highlight these cabins so those of us who normally would give 1 gift per cabin would know that those cabins need 2?

Val has answered all but the wine opener. Your room steward will get this and glasses for you. Anything, anything you forgot or need just ask. They are amazing. We ordered a tux for Dennis and the shoes did not fit. Told the steward and he had the tailor onboard come meet with us with a couple of different sizes and came up with just the right fit.

We always pack a corkscrew, just in case.

Val - the fabric is beautiful! Thanks so much for all your work on this!

Well welcome to the world of PINK and Champagne!!!! I happen to think that it's a great combo.

This will be my 4th Champagne Girls and each one gets better. I'm sure we'll have a great time. This one will be the biggest one that I have ever done. I have somewhere about 70-80 ladies roughly. We're growing everyday.

Wanted to share with anyone who may interested in doing the HOHO bus in Oahu. I just received an email for a Groupon deal for it. A 24 hour pass is $14. It will still be valid while we are there. The voucher expires June 13, 2012.

This just solved how I would be getting around. We collect the Hard Rock Cafe tshirts, and it looks like it's along the route.

Nope :confused3 I will look into though, thanks for sharing.
