Corrina, will be sending you payment for the jewlery workshop asap.

Thanks, I received it.

Can you give me a little more info on what the FE is? I never really got a clear understanding :confused3

A Fish Extender is something that is hung from the fish-shaped mail clip that is next to each stateroom door. Many people use custom pocket organizers like this:

However, I have also seen tote bags, gift bags and even things like treasure chest. As long as it can be hung from the fish, all is good.

For the Fish Extender exchange, this can either be done in one big group for everybody signed up or divided into smaller groups. The second option is what we are going for with this cruise, but people have the option to sign up for more than one group.

If you are signed up, you give something to each of the cabins in your group or groups. How you want to do this is up to you. Some people just do a gift per cabin. Others give a gift per person. Yet again others do a gift for the cabin and individual gifts for the kids. What you give is also totally up to you. Things that I have received over the years are candy, glow sticks, temporary tattoos, Cruise Survival Kits with the likes of cable ties, band aids, tissues, highlighters, safety pins, etc., things from people's local areas (pins, post cards, state quarters, etc.), things that are personalized for the cruise like magnets, silicone bands, pins, tote bags, mouse mats, drinking cups, etc. and there are usually some people that make their own gifts. It does not have to be expensive or elaborate, it is just meant to be a bit of fun. I know a lot of people get stuff from companies like Oriental Trading.

I always get a big buzz when I come back to the cabin and find something in my Fish Extender.

I found this link in another thread. Disney Store always had a few DCL items, but now seems they have a lot more. Maybe someone will be interested, so i'm posting this here:

I got so excited when I spotted the Dream Dooney and Bourke Cross Body Bag for less than $100, until I noticed that to ship this to the UK would be $60. I don't know how they can justify those shipping charges.

Ship it to one of us in the states in your name. Some of us live on west coast and are coming by car so bringing it to you is no problem. I would be happy to do it for you if you don't have a local friend from past cruises who isn't flying to meet ship. I am sure you would be more comfortable doing this with someone you know personally. I had a friend living overseas who would order things to be sent to me for $7-$8 postage and I would send to Europe for another $8 or so along with their "shopping" list of necessities. Anyway I am available if you need a US address to get it at the great price :)

I may well have to take you up on your kind offer if the still sell the purse once I have ordered all the supplies for the jewellery workshops. At the moment my Paypal is out of action as I have all the money for the supplies in there.

Hi Corinna-

I can help you out too. I have the Disney Visa and could get you an additional 10% off on top of the free shipping.I got that one on the Dream last November marked down, but paid full price for the bigger one on the MV of the Dream-what craziness!!
I saw the one for Aulani and want it, but we won't be going there on this trip unless I can squeeze it in somehow after the excursion and find a way there.

Lookie what arrived. THANKS VAL - such a small number of words for such effort on your part. The material is so neat ---I cannot wait to start on my project.......

We are still crossing our fingers that we can cruise....a long story about work related issues........but meanwhile, I think everyone will be so pleased with the one of a kind pattern.......

I'll be glad to try to answer questions, not a great seamstress but I will try.

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone heard about any special pins or shirts for our trip?

In the past, there has been an order form so there is not the melee on the ship.

As I have posted I have not stayed tuned for this thread......so apologies if this is an old issue.

Thanks.

For all the newbies out there head to the first page and sign up for the FE.

So far we have 66 cabins and that will be broken down into groups of no more than 25 but many people are doing more than one group, just let me know when signing up!

Deadline is March 15th so groups and maps can be made.

I have a question, does the 66 cabins include the people that are sharing cabins ? :confused3 I know there are people who are sharing cabins including myself and we are doing seperate FE so that really would be 2 cabins and not one. Thanks :)

WOW!! Can't wait to get the shirts!

Okay, so I'm starting to get my list together of things that I should bring and I want to see if I can cut a few things out. So, I have a few questions if someone wouldn't mind helping me.

1. Hangers - They already have 6 in the closet, right? I want to limit my hanging items to how many hangers they already have.

2. Shampoo, Conditioner, and Lotion - I know they already have products in the staterooms. Do they replace them as you run out or can you ask for more?

3. Wine you bring yourself - Should I bring a bottle opener too? :)

4. Hair Dryer - Are the ones in the room any good? I didn't use it at all on our 3 day cruise but the 15 night is a lot longer.

Thank you in advance for the help!

If the number of hangers in the closet isn't enough just ask your room host, they will bring you more.

As with the hangers, your room host will bring you more shampoo etc. if you ask. They usually will replace them as they see they are used up. On the longer cruises they give you larger containers anyway.

We bring our own wine opener, I don't know if room service would supply one if asked. They will bring you all the wine glasses you need. Last cruise I had the 'girls' over and they brought me 2 dozen champagne glasses at no charge.

The hair dryers are less then great. But remember between the trade winds and the afternoon showers, you might not worry to much about styling your hair.

Finally got my mail in and and let me tell you....WOW...I just love the colors and pattern on this fabric. I can't wait to get our shirts cause I know they will be amazing! Thank you Val again!

Now off to my friend who will sew shirts for my kiddos :)

Val has answered all but the wine opener. Your room steward will get this and glasses for you. Anything, anything you forgot or need just ask. They are amazing. We ordered a tux for Dennis and the shoes did not fit. Told the steward and he had the tailor onboard come meet with us with a couple of different sizes and came up with just the right fit.

Does anybody know how many formal wear and semi-formal days we will have for a 15 night cruise. I remember my PC cruise which was as long as this one....had mexican night and tropical night in addition to pirate night. I think there were two formal and I don't remember how many semi-formal nights there were....one, maybe two. Plus Palo clothes for brunch and dinner if I get lucky. Oh, I'm Platinum so they have to give me at least one free meal there.

Since my current clothes don't seem to fit well anymore, it's time to go shopping and I need to know what I'm going to need to wear first.
