I'm really glad you posted one with this color scheme and design.....because SHHHHH....but a little birdie told me there is a 99.9% chance that the lanyard name badges will use some of the same colors and images as this design and so they'll coordinate very well!! ;)

:thumbsup2 Yeah! So excited! Thanks again to you guys for coordinating and creating the lanyards! You guys rocks! :thumbsup2

SCRAPBOOK FEEDBACK

Elaine, Erik and others................

would you please post a couple of comments about previous scrapbook classes. I have some questions regarding things like this:

1. How easy is it for a beginning scrapbooker?
2. Is the class hard?
3. What do I do with the book when it is done, how do I add pictures afterwards?

Anyway, if you guys could let people know if it is "hard" or not, that would be great!

Thanks

Oh my heavens....it's EASY EASY EASY!!! Seriously, if anyone out there is on the fence about doing Linda's scrapbooking class....jump off that fence now!! The first time we did a class with her we had NEVER done a scrapbook before. I'm creative and crafty....but scrapbooking was/is not my thing (I mostly sew....making wonderful Disney ties and tuxedo sets for our DCL cruises!! :thumbsup2)....she makes it so easy. The directions are very basic and there are pictures to help. She has supplies already prepared for you and sorted. She and others are there to help. It's so simple! More importantly, though, her designs are beautiful....so creative and wonderful...and doing the class is a great way to spend time with other DISers. Honestly, Linda's scrapbooking groups are one of our favorite things to do on the ship....and it's not even an official DCL event!! :thumbsup2

(And putting your pictures in is easy...whenyou get home you print out your pictures and any other souvenirs you or mementos you love and you just glue or tape them in...it's that simple!!)

Erik thank you for responding from a beginners perspective....Although I have been a scrapbooker for many years, Linda's classes are super easy and the instructions she provides are very easy to understand and she even provides pictures of the completed pages and normally has an actual completed scrapbook available at class so you can actually see what the page looks like. A scrapbook is a great way to preserve you cruise memories and what could be better than a scrapbook that you can put together in a few hours on a sea day, with a great bunch of Dis'ers, that you can just add some photos to when you get home and viola...a completed scrapbook you can show your friends and family...and you can always pick up a few scrapbook DCL scrapbook kits onboard to add to your scrapbook. If you've never scrapbooked before and are afraid you won't be able to follow the instructions, don't worry us fellow scrapbookers will help you out and since Linda is driving to the port this time....there will be no fear of missing paper!!!!! (the Alaskan cruisers will understand)

Brooklyn - awesome work! Love it!

Oh dear, the scrapbook class is starting to get to me. I converted to full digital scrapbooking many many many years ago, I haven't done traditional scrapbooks in forever but your descriptions of it sound so fun. Decisions, decisions, decisions!

No problem!:woohoo:

Some friends just came back from a cruise to New Zealand and back out of San Diego and said they could not believe how calm the Pacific was compared to other cruises they have taken. They loved sea days. We are at the opposite ends of deck 7..balcony is great there..bigger.

I think you are on the starboard side across from us. DH, DMiL and I are in 7138. Hello, neighbor! :yay:

Thank you everyone for the kind words!
I hope everyone will want to celebrate with us

We are planning on having the ceremony on the Deck 7 Aft, not sure which day yet, but I will let everyone know.

Congratulations! DH and I have a balcony next to the deck, so we may be able to catch the ceremony. ON the WBPC last January, another Diser had her ceremony there, and it was beautiful! :cloud9:

We will have Captain Thord and Christian.

Thank you for the update, DH and I love Captain Thord! I always feel the most secure when he is captain.

I am probably going to live to regret this, but here goes anyway. Has anybody offered to do a group navigator? If we do not already have this covered, I would like to volunteer to take this project on. With everything that I am either running outright or am in some way involved in, I need a document of some kind to keep me organised. It would only take a little more time and effort to do something for the group. If I end up doing this, I would create the document in PDF format and people could either print this or save it to their iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches, Kindles, etc. which is what I intend to do. I already have a bunch of email addresses for Secret Mickey and the Scavenger Hunt and would automatically send this to everybody who I have an email address for. Anybody else who wants a copy can just PM me their email address. What do you guys think?

Thank you so much for putting this together. It will be really great to have one central place for all of the information. If it is not too much, trouble, would you be able to include Mother's Day (Sunday, May 13)? I want to be able to keep track of that.

Thanks everyone for your feedback to help those that were unsure about the class. And you guys hit it right on the mark....it's the time we get to spend together laughing and sharing, etc., etc., those are the best memories.

Speaking of scrapbooking......I was awake at 5:30 this morning so got up and have been working on designing the next pages. I am so excited for a Hawaii themed book. So this morning I pulled out the scrapbook from last year for our cruise to Alaska and started looking through it and thought....these pages are really cute, now all I need to do is add my pictures to them and the book would be done! I can get everyone else's done, but mine....that's another story. And to be honest.....my 2005 Panama Canal scrapbook. It is actually 2 books, and it is only 95% done. I need to finish Cabo and the last sea day before Long Beach. I figure what's the hurry....it's only been 7 years. Can't believe it has been 7 years since so many of us met for the first time and life long friendships were formed. I love my Dis family!

I think it's too soon yet Jan. I'll keep you in mind though. I thought I might wait until mid March and then start putting together the list. They won't let me book a room until 2 weeks before sailing.....so that's mid April. One month beforehand should be good to get it started.
