Hey Steph,

Sorry, I didn't include stateroom. 2148.

Also, I signed up on spreadsheet for Luau. Great, great, great job researching this and putting out the list. Really appreciate it.

Roy:cool2:

Hey Roy (and anyone else interested in joining us!)

Here is the link to the spreadsheet to sign up...

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...lOTQwZzdqTlE&authkey=CM3s8vIH&hl=en_US#gid=25

We're over 50 folks now and looking to "buy out" the place with 180!!:banana::banana:

Thanks!
Steph

Hey Steph,

I'm not exactly sure how to save our info on the google doc for the luau. I would like to sign myself and my fiance (Holly and Nick) up for the luau and transportation. Can you let me know how I need to do that :confused3

It is a private group so you cannot find it on a search, someone has to invite you in and maybe only the founders. Send a DIS PM to "Brooklyn" and ask.

Several other WBPC 2008 on this thread but in case they did not answer yet--
Castaway Cay--Aruba--through canal but no debarkation--Aruba--Puerta Vallarta--Cabo San Lucas.

However, the Current safety concerns for tourists in Mexico that has people not booking and itineraries being changed might lead to changes for the next transits. Sorry if this has been said already.

We also went to Acupalco, Jan. But DCL stopped going there early on. I think the PC might have been the only stop. It "felt" unsafe to me even on a tour bus. Automatic weapon armed guards in the doorways of some of the stores not just at the port like Cabo and Puerta Vallarta. :scared1:

 that is what I get for not proof reading well. That second "Aruba" should have been "Acapulco". Our excursion went to La Roca to hike and snorkel so we did not leave the pier and did not see military armed guards. But the place we snorkeled had more floating litter than fish so we were not impressed.

We went to Aruba instead of Curacao. My favorite cruise so far.

Manzanillo was also a port.

Thank you all for that information :flower3:. That will give us some idea of what may be in store for us. Hopefully.

Our cruise is beginning to look like huge sunny light at the end of the tunnel:sail:

Seattle area is on day 6 of snow and ice. Now we only have about 8"-12" which I am sure seems very small to those in the east and midwest, but here it is huge. There isn't enough equipment to clear roads properly so it isn't safe to go out unless absolutely necessary. To top of off last night we had ice rain - felt like I was back in the south...only the second time I have seen this in 40 yrs living here..so today huge trees are breaking and taking our power lines, 60'+ tall evergreens are crashing into freeways and interstates. They have had to declare a state of emergency and this afternoon started broadcasting that people leave work early and get off roads by dark because they feel they will be deadly.

I live east of Seattle in the "foothills" of the Cascade mountain range and we have over 12" and every road around here is a hill  I am an experienced snow driver (learned in PA) and have new seasonal tires on my front wheel car, but the men in our neighborhood also well equipped are having trouble so we have stayed put.

I have attempted to read as much on the threads as I could that would help with this trip in some way. The thread for homemade FE gifts is awesome but I STILL haven't made it all the way thru it.... One thing Dis Boards members like to do is talk :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Makes me a good fit! I haven't even managed to look at all the titles for different threads yet either...wow

We are supposed to get back to normal tomorrow - winter rain - so will be able to get back to our usual life :yay: But I am determined to at least make it thru gift thread and hopefully someday read all the thread titles on Dis Board:laughing:

Omgosh! Please stay safe. Freezing rain on top of snow is no joke; we experienced a similar type storm when we lived in Brewster, NY, many years ago. We were out of power for over a week (and when you have a well and septic system, that's no fun at all). Sending lots of pixie dust for everyone there. :wizard::wizard::wizard:

I am probably going to live to regret this, but here goes anyway. Has anybody offered to do a group navigator? If we do not already have this covered, I would like to volunteer to take this project on. With everything that I am either running outright or am in some way involved in, I need a document of some kind to keep me organised. It would only take a little more time and effort to do something for the group. If I end up doing this, I would create the document in PDF format and people could either print this or save it to their iPads, iPhones, iPod Touches, Kindles, etc. which is what I intend to do. I already have a bunch of email addresses for Secret Mickey and the Scavenger Hunt and would automatically send this to everybody who I have an email address for. Anybody else who wants a copy can just PM me their email address. What do you guys think?

Corinna

You get my vote for MVP of cruise!

We also experienced this in Oregon with well and septic. We went to a hotel.:thumbsup2:rotfl2:
Don't forget Val; they can be co-regents ;).

I second that!!! :worship:

This was our intinerary for the ebpc 08 cruise. I was wondering if anyone has made the Hawaii itinerary into a magnet ? I would like to print one if anyone has one made. ;)

Becky writes the material is finished and looks beautiful. However, due to a system problem there will be a delay in mailing it. They are going to send me a picture of the material, which I will post.

I advised them that we have 10 shirts paid for on our wait list, bringing our total to 138.

Val

Looking forward to seeing the sample

From all of us....Thank you for all your help :woohoo:

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Tina, somebody did this image some time ago. I'm so sorry that I can't remember who created it.

This is great! Thanks for sharing.

Which transit was that?

January 2011.

There was no stop in Acapulco in January 2011. The ports were Castaway Cay (skipped), Aruba, Puntarenas, Manzanillo, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas.

Also did the May 2005 transit - the ports were Castaway Cay, Curacao, Acapulco, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas.

Don't know about the 2008 ports as I've only done the transit in 2005 and 2011.

Calling all activity organisers

If you have volunteered to organise an activity on this cruise, could you please remind me what you are organising or heading up. This will also include things like pre-cruise meets. You can either post on here, send me a PM or message me on Facebook (Corinna Ball, Manchester). I am aware that a lot of details will probably not be finalized until about two weeks before the cruise, but I want as much information as possible to start working on the overall layout of the group navigator. I can fill the gaps as I go along.

Corinna

Love this! Thanks for sharing, the signature for our Hawaii trip would make a great magnet too:woohoo:

Since this is first cruise to Hawaii there is not much graphics pre-made yet. But some of the DIS designers have some made already. And I'm sure if you go and ask some of them they will make some custom graphics for you for the magnets.

:rotfl2: We were thinking the same thing. I just posted something on the Disigns board. I will share on here when I hear back.:thumbsup2
