Yes, they do the port check in time on the west coast as well or at least they did for our October MR cruise.

As two booking excursions, you should both be able to log in as long as you don't do so at the same time as this would lock both of you out. I assume that this would work the same as a family sharing the room. You can book when the highest level Castaway Club member can book and you can either book for both or just one of the people. DH and I usually do separate excursions once a cruise and I have not had any problems booking one excursion for him and another one for me.

Thanks ! I was over thinking it.:rolleyes1 Makes total sense to me now.:)

Happy New Year ! Great link, I will have to borrow this. :thumbsup2

Hello all ...

Just popping in to say Hi and a very Happy New Year to all. I am happy to see 2011 over with. It has been a trying year. Had to go to 5 funerals and bury my poor Budde the Bichon this year. 2012 has got to be better.

I won't be pif until next week. Asked Disney for a week extension due to banking hours over the holidays and delays in getting my bonds to cashed. Being a mere gold, means I need to wait until Jan 14 to book excursions.

I hope to get more involved in the new year on the boards. I'm still planning the Secret Mickey and will send out more information soon. You can sign up on the spreadsheet.

Jon ... congrats on keeping it a secret with Candida. Now that she knows, it would be great to have a southern Ontario meet. Limeridge Mall sounds good, as it is between Niagara Falls and London (Hi Katypop! I'm from Waterloo) and there is a Disneystore there too!!!

Anyhow ... I hope everyone has a great night on Saturday.

A toast to a great year ahead! :drinking:

I am sorry for your loss. I have a maltese that is my child. 2011 wasn't so great for me either.:sad2: I know 2012 will be much better.:thumbsup2 I am lookinf forward to the Secret Mickey.:)

She can book excursions for both of you if you're going on the same excursion. I had to wait to book my linkees on an excursion they were doing but I wasn't. I think you could work around that by booking the platinum on it also, and then canceling her off like the week before the cruise.

On the TA, I also successfully booked Palo for my room and my pif linkees.

Thanks Linda. So if my roomie is doing a different excursion then me it won't let me book it ? I mentioned to her that since we can't both be logged on that I would go ahead and book everything for us. Maybe not a good idea now ? :confused3

As you are sharing the same cabin, you should be able to book different excursions for both of you. If you were in separate cabins, but with a linked reservation, then you would only be able to book a different excursion once your own window for booking things opened.

Corinna

I was also wondering if we could both be on line the same time.

No, this you can't do. One at a time, the other gets locked out. Best to have one of you do the bookings.

Anyone know anything about this organization Southern California Gray Line - Disneyland Resort Express- One Way Airport Transportation- Anaheim Resort Hotels to/from LAX? They can transport 3 adults and 1 child for a cost of $64.50. Additionally is there any organization selling discounted tickets to DL for only 1 day? We are coming in late Friday evening and only going to have 1 day for DL.

My travel agent recommened this to me, and I also read about it on MouseSavers. It will take you from the airport right to your Anaheim hotel. Looks like a great option especially for those of us worrying about car seats. I think this may be the way we go. Below is the link.

Thank you for clearing that up ! :woohoo: I need to find time for a nap now. Staying up to midnight then getting up at 3 am. sooooo worth it though.:)

Thanks ! Will make sure only one of us are on. Still need to finalize our plans. Glad there are only 4 ports.:rolleyes1

Last night my daughter and I really read all the excursions in detail and I am so incredibly disappointed in Disney. There are so few excursions that allow a wheelchair..even a folding one. And not anything really traditional...no luau's, no pineapple farms, only one garden tour - on Hilo and the one thing we have done before. Even the one beach excursion is not allowing handicap. This is so opposite from past Disney cruises we have been on. Since my daughter isn't allowed to fly we have managed to go to Hawaii only once before on a Holland America and they did much better with excursions for us. Does anyone know who I can e-mail to issue a complaint and ask for explanation?:confused3

It sure does seem like a lot of us had less-than-terrific 2011s. There definitely were some bright spots (new granddaughter, vacation w/MrsMork & Dr. Hug), but it certainly had more than its share of low lights.

Buh bye, 2011. Don't let the door hit you in the rear! And, 2012, please be good to us (you've got an advantage: we're all going to Hawaii together! :thumbsup2).

Hi Mary Jane. I was thinking the same thing in the fall. I had mentioned it over on the Fantasy thread earlier in the year. There are several families from southern Ontario there as well. Probably early March would be a good time frame for us.

Get together and have a glass of wine. :thumbsup2 One can look over the shoulder of the other while booking. :surfweb:

Amen, Sister!! Way more lows than highs for us this year. One of the worst I can remember for us and we've had 44 of them together! Deaths, illness, saddness.....:sad2: Ready to move on to a WAY better one!! We're going
to Hawaii!!:woohoo:

Have some questions and hoping somebody on here can help me out.:worship:
Does anyone know if they do the port check in time on line for the west coast like they do on the east coast ?

For people that are rooming together or have in the past...........how do you book on line for your excursions ? Do you both go on line ? One person books for both ? I am confused on how this works out. Aslo linked with another cabin.:confused3

I am really excited about this cruise. :woohoo::woohoo: Hope everything goes smooth tonight and everyone is able to book what they want.:wizard:

Yes, there are assigned port times in LA. I was on a B2B2B in the spring of 2011, and got a #1 boarding card just like in Fla.

Trying to remember if one person can book for both as we've done it before. It's an issue as my roommate is platinum and we aren't sure if she can book excursions for me that are different from the ones she is going on. I think it can be done since we are in the same stateroom but we can't remember. We should have no problems booking excursions that both of us are going on.
No, you can NOT book someone on an excursion if it is different than yours. The higher club level person can book at their window for both people (same excursion only) but the lower person can not use the higher persons window. HOWEVER -both have to be PIF for the higher person to book at all.

Thanks. The lead reservation is in my roomates name and she is platinum and I am gold. It shows on my reservation that I can book tonight. We might be doing different things in one port. Just wasn't sure which would be the best way to do this. I was also wondering if we could both be on line the same time. :confused3 Hoping everything goes smooth tonight. :)
I don't think you can, but if so, please post...this would be a change. I know that the platinum can book Palo, Remy (Dream/Fantasy) and excursions that are for both people. (see above comment)

Don't try to log in at the same time...hangs the system unless they have done some serious upgrades...did this a bunch of years ago and lost out completely!

I noticed that. :sad2: I am sorry. Not sure about the email address.

That's what I keep telling myself. In 2 days we can say we are going to Hawaii this year !!:woohoo:

Anyone else having a issue with trying to register a child in the clubs? The web site is letting me, but then I get a server error. I have my friends baby listed in our room and I wanted to get it done before midnight. If you can do this early, this is not good news for those of us that can book things tonight as the servers are already having issues.

I wish it could be that simple. She is in PA and I am in SC.

Ughhh do you hear my frustration ? I was going to be the one booking tonight. So can she book a different excursion for me ? Just re-read your post. I guess she could always book the same one and cancel one later right ?

I have this problem for quite awhile......didn't worry about it cause it's still time. But I really hope you guys will not have any errors tonight while booking....

Good to know the problem has been around. The only thing is I need to arange the nursery for when we are going to brunch and tea.

Well I will put my mind at rest. Another person posted on a thread that once their bookiong window opened there was not a issue. This was backed up by a couple of other posters.

Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. We are PIF and really getting excited about our cruise. For everyone that emailed me or PM'd me with your pre and post room requests, I have your names down so that's one less thing to worry about. I will be posting a list of the names and hotels so we can see if we have enough for the group rate or if other people still need to book rooms etc.

Wishing everyone good luck tonight as people go online to book their shore excursions.

Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.

Bev :)

Hi everyone. So did everyone decide what excursions you're doing? I'm still trying to figure it out. So what is everyone doing?

Hopefully:
Best of Hilo
Kilohana Plantation and Train Ride
Iao Valley and Maui Tropical
Arizona and City Tour, Adult version

and Brunch at Palo.

Our needs are simple. ;)

Hello fellow Hawaii cruisers....my DW and I will be joining you. I see that a lot of people that were on the WBTA last year with us will be on this cruise also......if someone would be kind enough so I don't have to go through thousands of posts could you kind of give me the readers digest review of the cruise.....we already e-mailed about the lanyards but is it to late for the shirts and are is anybody going to try and set up some excursions on our own like to Pearl Harbor etc? We are kind of late joining the thread because I was concerned as to weather we would be able to swing paying for the cruise....but made the final payment so we are with ya...
Thanks much.
