I hear you. I had my first day back today. My last day prior to vacation was September 22nd. Now I have to work 8 days in a row though.

Corinna

Welcome back, Alan and Corinna! I hope you both had a fantastic time. Did either of you eat anywhere special or interesting in the World?

After spending the last 2 1/2 months in the house w/DD and 2 DGDs, I could use some time off :thumbsup2, but don't see any until December. Oh, well, that's OK. We'll have fun then, I know.

I just returned from a 3 week Disney Vacation. Honestly it was easy. It felt great to sleep in my bed. I have been gone form work for almost a month. Last day before vacation was Sep 27 and first day back is Oct 23. I have to be honest I am ready to get back to work. The vacation was everything I needed it to be, but I think a little too long.

Welcome back. You sound like DH. We were gone from Sept 4-24 and he actually told me one day that he couldn't wait to get back to work. I on the other hand could have stayed away forever! Must be a man thing

Yes we will!! We are going to end this awful year on a very good note! :thumbsup2

Got the staples etc out today but I still feel like I got hit by a tractor trailer truck. The doc says everything is "coming along"
Right now jacki I can't see me doing that dance- maybe in a few weeks.

I can't wait to get my energy back - I guess it takes time

My surgeons told me to take it s~l~o~w and rest a LOT ! They said that our bodies are not fully healed from major surgery for 9 - 12 months. I think the older I am the slower I bounce back. So, take your time. Dance if you feel up to it and if you don't, let someone else have a turn.

We were are at Disneyland rather than Disney World, but my favourite meal was our vow renewal dinner at Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. It was pricey, but oh so yummy. I will try to get another reservation there for our post-crusise stay in May.

I meant to say the World or the Land, but forgot. Sorry. What did you have that was so good? (I am one of those people who loves to look at menus and think about food.)

All this Disneyland talk. That's it, for my last day off we are going to Disneyland. Becides I need to go on Space Moutain Ghost Galaxy and today maybe my only chance. Oh thank goodness we only live 30 miles away.

:lmao::rotfl: Me too! I was just browsing over on the WDW dining threads wondering how I can get another 2 or 3 restaurants into our Dec trip!!. :rolleyes1

Thats our plan too - our flights home aren't until 11pm-ish so when given the choice of being stuck with our suitcases from the time we got off the ship until 11pm OR spending an extra night and having two days in the parks... we took option #2

Just a thought... can't you get 4 people in a room - if you split the cost with another couple, you could halve the price of your "excursion" :)

Ya know, that's a great idea. I will have to look into it. Thanks.

Mmmm, works for me!

My little brain is totally frustrated that there are no previous Hawaiian cruise menus to look at! How silly is that??

I am working on the trip report. I will pre-type as much as possible so when my Photopass CD arrives, I can start posting straight away.

I had the Fillet Mignon with a side of Macaroni Cheese and it was absolutely out of this world.

I loved Ghost Galaxy. I was so curious about this that I overcame my fear of Space Mountain.

We loved Narcoossee's last year and Jiko and Boma are both big favourites.

I was working at the Polynesian Resort at WDW a few weeks ago.....and they have some really nice Hawaiian type clothes there.

I need to find a day to get my DH and DS over there so we can get a couple matching or coordinating outfits!:banana::banana::banana:

Oh! We will have to try to get over there when we visit in Dec. :thumbsup2

We are still here in Orlando after the WBTA which docked 4 weeks ago!! We still have 9 days. :cool1: Having a very restful time as we only pop to the parks occasionally these days. We have a pool home and it is so relaxing.

Hopefully will be seeing Connie, Chuck and Patrick tomorrow, Deb and John and Monica next weekend and also some other friends from last year's WBTA too.

When we get home it will be straight into thinking about Christmas. Then it will be New Year and then........

Marilyn, I must say you really know how to vacation! That's amazing. You and Alan could give lessons ;).

I hope you have fun w/your mini-mini-meets :thumbsup2.

Thanks Joanne. We do enjoy this lifestyle for sure. We have to treat it almost like living here and only have one meal out a week(cheapish like BobEvans or Sweet Tomatoes) and try not to have too many treats. But we keep the other meals easy of course. Though I am not someone who sits around or sunbathe these days we do find ourselves spending evenings with our computers watching NCIS etc.

We both find our mini meets are the highlights these days as we aren't bothered about the parks as much, and we have met some lovely people over the years, mostly through cruising though some just through Disney boards. It is going to be hard when we can no longer come and meet up with these special folk. Now I have got tears in my eyes.:sad1:

However I think I am getting to feel it is OK to go home now. I am ready to see our children and grands, plus I have hospital visits coming up. What fun!

I thought I'd borrow something fun from Terrie and the Inaugural Fantasy cruise:

We set sail in 27 weeks! That's 189 days!
