Understand completely...family was in Bolivar :rotfl:

Bucklin, here, now that is a small place, family farm is a couple miles from Marceline. ;)

From Lebanon.....I say in the middle of nowhere LOL

my family hails from Chloride - isn't even there anymore....Grandma was in Potosi for about 80 years....the only claim to fame was the Brown Shoe Company. I won't miss going out there...just my Grandma!

I tried to get a villa at GC with my points but was told there was no availability in Studio or 1 bedroom for the night before the cruise. NOT renting a two bedroom for two people!

Thanks, I'll take a peek at the rent points thing - I'm curious how this works!

**Clueless Confession** - so we just stayed at the Grand Californian in September, as we always have since it was built. But we haven't been back since before the Villas were built. Once we got there I was so caught up in having a great time, I n's ever even noticed where they were. The GC didn't look any different than I remembered. Seriously where are these - are they using a cloaking device on these babies. ;)

:thumbsup2 I LOVE that they hold the luggage while we play some more! :woohoo:

I don't know if this helps. To get to our studio, we had to go along the path where the arcade and Pinocchio's Workshop are. Once we were at the elevators, we made a left and walked to the end of the hallway and the DVC villas were there. We were on the 4th floor overlooking Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and Grizzly River Run before our cruise and on the second floor overlooking Paradise Pier after the cruise.

Speaking of all the things planned, is anyone interested in a Candy Exchange?? I didn't see it posted & would be happy to oversee it. In my experience, it worked best with counting people, rather than staterooms - like 25 or so?? It is a fun way to try candy from different parts of the world/country... Just a thought...and maybe it's already there & I missed it! :cool1:

.

We did this on the WBTA 2010. It was great getting the extra candy to keep the energy level up.

If you are standing in front of Grand Californian, they are at the extreme right side, it is connected to the existing hotel.

Ah - thanks! I did notice that they had moved the TV with the cartoons and the little kid rockers from that far right, but I didn't really look down that way. Post cruise I need to make a point of being more observant of the changes.

Also when you are at the pools, the new pool all the way over on the right, the Villas overlook that pool.
I love the Villas, we won't be staying there in April. Too much time out of school for DGD.

Oh that sounds like a fantastic idea!! I love candy from anywhere :woohoo:

Well, looks like this is already in the works! :rotfl: Thanks for your responses - I hadn't found it!!

On the first page of this thread there is a link to the roll call spreadsheet. There is a tab on the bottom for different activities, and candy exchange is already being handled by Paula Sillars...lol I added my name, so be sure to do that if you are interested.

It is seamless, isn't it, the way they added on!! :thumbsup2 I watched it being built & still had trouble seeing the addition, once they were complete....lol Our favorite view is the one overlooking the park, but the pool view isn't too bad either....love those villas!!

Oh congrats!!! Yeah we knew we wanted an April wedding, then we saw this cruise and booked the venue for the day before we leave! We're from Texas so we'll have to fly out pretty early but thank goodness for the time change!! It's good to know we're not gunna be the only honeymooners :)

We will be honeymooners too! We are find a little spot in Vegas and take the plunge!

Great so it looks like there'll be three of us at least! :thumbsup2

I want April to get here but I have nothing done yet so I better get planning! Time is going by so fast!

I know we want to do Disneyland for sure because we have only been to Disney world and I excited to see the differences first hand. (wonder which one I will like better)

As far as Hawaii goes I'm just starting to research! The whole vacation is gonna be about 4 weeks so I really got to plan money wise too.

Any ideas????

After 9pm(PST) today Google changed it's home page art work to commemorate Disney artist and designer Mary Blair. Check it out.

Disneyland is really great! It's alot different, and I wouldn't say it's better or worse than DisneyWorld. It's just as fun though!!
As for the planning, I'm in the same boat. My fiance proposed to me almost a year ago on our last disney cruise and I had all these plans and ideas and nothing is really done!
But we got a honeymoon so thats a plus :cool1:
I'll have to plan out how it's going to work money-wise also. Not looking forward to that. I'm hoping we'll be able to do at least a day at DL before going home :goodvibes

Oh, and then trying to come home from a two week Disney vaca....I have no idea how that's gunna work!

I just returned from a 3 week Disney Vacation. Honestly it was easy. It felt great to sleep in my bed. I have been gone form work for almost a month. Last day before vacation was Sep 27 and first day back is Oct 23. I have to be honest I am ready to get back to work. The vacation was everything I needed it to be, but I think a little too long.

I hear you. I had my first day back today. My last day prior to vacation was September 22nd. Now I have to work 8 days in a row though.
