So I noticed that DCL is planing the Pirate party on day 6 our first day on the Islands?

Seems strange that we will be at sea for 5 days going and 4 coming back and yet the Pirate party is a land day?

What are they thinking?
How did you find this out? My insider has not emailed me the info so I can get the rotation I want as it is not available yet also it's 4 days going and 5 to come back. Well that is not entirely accurate either. Since we leave L.A. at 5 Sunday and not getting to the big island until noon on Friday I guess it is 5 days. Also on all 10 of my DCL cruises that stupid pirate part has always been on a port day.

I was working at the Polynesian Resort at WDW a few weeks ago.....and they have some really nice Hawaiian type clothes there.

I need to find a day to get my DH and DS over there so we can get a couple matching or coordinating outfits!:banana::banana::banana:

Connie

Thanks for that heads up tip Connie. I'll be sure to head over there to see what they have got when we arrive in town next week.

We are still here in Orlando after the WBTA which docked 4 weeks ago!! We still have 9 days. :cool1: Having a very restful time as we only pop to the parks occasionally these days. We have a pool home and it is so relaxing.

Hopefully will be seeing Connie, Chuck and Patrick tomorrow, Deb and John and Monica next weekend and also some other friends from last year's WBTA too.

When we get home it will be straight into thinking about Christmas. Then it will be New Year and then........

Can't wait to see you and John with Monica at Mimi's for brunch on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it.

I logged into my reservation and it shows all 16 days.

Doesn't show anything else yet.

I logged in and found what you are talking about. So at least those why want to be in PC as of right now know what day it is.

I thought I'd borrow something fun from Terrie and the Inaugural Fantasy cruise:

We set sail in 27 weeks! That's 189 days!

Nicely done Janis. :thumbsup2

In case of emergency they are close to shore.

Also I was thinking since they only do it on port days there are only two choices. The day at Hilo or the the last night in Hawaii. I say this cause we are at the other islands till 10:30 and they are not going to do it on the last night off of Ensanada.

Us? What time is Brunch? I am working on Sunday, so I doubt I will make brunch but maybe later on the afternoon? Connie

Hi everyone!

I'm very sad about this, but we had to cancel this cruise  One of my closest friends was just surprised by her son...he's engaged and the wedding is being planned for May 12th!! :cool1: I couldn't very well ask them to move the date just because I was cruising (I actually tried but my conscience got the best of me :lmao:), so I had to rebook us to the October date.

I will so miss everyone I was looking forward to meeting in April, but hopefully will bump into someone familiar on a DCL cruise in the future.

I guess I need to be removed from the lanyard list, the champagne girls, and the roll call. I'll still be lurking :surfweb: to keep up with you all and to see how the inaugural Hawaii adventurers fared! I want to see LOTS of trip reports with pix! :3dglasses

I've PM'd Val to cancel the shirt order...gosh, I'm going to miss having those a lot too! I'm still planning the two days at DL on the 14th and 15th, so if anyone else is staying at VGC, maybe we will still get a chance to meet up?

Take care all and happy sailing!

What a happy reason for missing a cruise!

Sorry we will miss meeting you, but I am glad you can still go in October!

I am still dealing with this rash. Went to a dermotologist today and he said it was a sort of a hive reaction to the medication. He does not want to put me on steroids yet so I am to continue with the stuff I am on. This is really getting me down. I got all the staples out yesterday.

On the bright side I did make reservations for Paradise Pier for April 26,27,28. There were no standard rooms available so I had to get so called premium view. I will keep calling and hopefully I can change to standard view.
On the return we were able to book a standard view for May 14 and 15.
Even though I booked these if something better comes along I can cancel.

Linda - I also booked the scooters for both of us.

Last time we did the dinner package for World of Color and it was great although I wasn't feeling well and spent most of the time during the show in the ladies room.

Well our vacation bid at work is now open. Only one person per week is allowed to have a vacation for the weeks of this cruise. I am half way up the senority chain so we will see.

OK, I just updated/added myself and the DW (LauraGar) to the Google docs and I think I did things right. She's asleep right now so I'll have to ask her later if there is other she wants to be added to.

Can't wait!!!

Fingers crossed for you! (ps. retirement is terrific)

Bob and I are off on our MR cruise and DLR vacation. Last Friday we got the ok and bottle of antibiotics from his doctor. He had a capsule endoscope, swallowing a camera, and they found abrasions on the walls of his stomach and multiple ulcers on his small intestines. Now they have to figure out what is causing them, most likely culprit is one of his many medications. He still has a stint in his common bile duct which has to be removed next month.

There is not much new to report on the shirt project. We have had a few cancellations but perhaps some of our new cruisers will be interested. Becky sent info to the October Hawaii cruise group, at their request, but I haven't seen anything posted about it. Once we get back I'll update everyone on that.

Also, will really concentrate on the group vow renewal - as long as there is still interest. Happy Goofy and I have been exchanging some ideas. I have been in contact with DCL special requests and I think we can do something really nice for about $40 a couple, a small tea like reception and special Hawaiian theme ceremony. It certainly won't be the same as a Disney Fairytale Wedding, complete with ship captain but it also won't be $1,500 a couple. I think it could be really nice.

Don't have to much for me to wade through when we get back.
