I too have been out of touch since April 24 when Dennis was admitted to the hospital with chest pain. They did a cardiac cath on the 25th and determined he needed a redo of his bypass that was done in 1997. That was completed on the 28th. He had a tia a couple of days post surgery ("mini-stroke") that left his right leg and arm paralyzed. That cleared in a day, thankfully, then he went into atrial fib a couple of days after that. Those two events slowed his discharge a couple of days, but we were able to come home night before last. Yesterday was our 44th anniversary so we were thrilled to be at home.Some very sweet ladies from our church brought dinner for us last night. Dennis is now on the mend, but we, of course, have lots of appointments coming up with cardiac rehab, coumadin clinic (because of the A-fib), surgeon checks, etc.
My suggestion, stick around post cruise for a few days and tour DL/DCA with the Morkerts!We love to give the grand tour and there are LOTS of must dos.

I didn't really want to bother either. I mean what is the point of staying at GC so you can get up early, stand in line, grab a fast pass to WOC just so you can stand / sit and wait an hour and a half for the show?
But what I could see of the show was amazing, and the kids could see and thought it was amazing - I'm just short.

I think others have covered it but I think DL is a must do - there is so much that is different from WDW and enough that is similar that its very enjoyable to do a compare/contrast.
We are probably going to hang around for a couple of days in the parks after the cruise this time. Well seeing, we are going to be in the area, it'd be rude not to stop by and say hi

I was checking the website today and noticed a bunch of categories available. It's just so crazy to me that it seems like so many have jumped ship. Makes me excited though because more room for us

.I am trying to decide if we are going to spend a couple days before the cruise or a couple days after. This will sway the vote to post cruise.

Yeah, me too. 5'2" on a good day.
I didn't buy the dinner show tickets, because I had been burned by this twice in previous visits with Fantasmic, so I didn't want to risk losing the money, but I hear this is a much better way to see the show.
We're going to have to think about that; it sounds like a good plan.

I was arguing with myself on whether or not to spend the extra vacation time, and the extra money to come early and do DL. The good side won, and we are coming a couple days early to check out DL. We have been to WDW several times, but never to DL. I am not sure when I will get back to CA so thought we better check it out why we were in town!..
