So with that said, the correced countdown is now . . .

Days until we sail

sorry for my confusion

We might be easier to find than you think
I have a feeling we're going to stick out like sore thumbs . . .us 4 ladies![]()
Hi folks
Mmketeer, I felt soooo much better after reading your post. I have been worried about having too much to do in the last few days but you're right, there is time to book things like hotels. Thanks - I needed that!
We got our room assignment (we were GTY) and its an accessible room so the reviews say that it is a different shape (more square than rectangle) and doesn't have a tub but has a larger bathroom. I don't care too much about the room really as I'm only going to be in the cabin to sleep and eat room service anyway.
DizzylandDeb, thanks for the countdown clock and for the challenge, ... let's see who can pick DizzylandDeb and her band of merry ladies out of the crowd in the terminal.
Cheers,
Uh oh, look out DCL here they come. LOL!
PS
DizzylandDeb, you are correct. The ghost ship was dismantled. When I sailed in November you could see all the scrap metal from it and the masts, which were laying in the sand on the otherside of the dock. Very sad.
We sail in . . .

Days!

I will be cruising with my 11 year old son on the Dream. My son's first cruise ever, and my first cruise with Disney. We're both looking forward to it.
Would love to hear from other single parents or families with kids around my son's age.

I'm glad we got to see the Flying Dutchman in October before they removed it. My DIL and I rented a paddle boat and got as close as we could to get some pictures.

Whaoo! My FE's are now complete. Now I just got to figure out how to get all those bags on the ship with me. Hubby thinks I am nuts doing this by the way. LOL! I don't know how you guys that are flying are pulling this off. Anyway, I think I did pretty good for my first time participating.
PS
This is the last two days to vote for which day for the meet up, cause we need time to vote on the location next. Thanks!!
Hi Mmketeer
You asked if we were in a balcony room. Nope. We booked this trip last minute as an add-on to our vacation (we're in Florida Apr 27 to May 15 and sail on the Magic May 7 with my folks who arrive in Florida a week after us). When the DIS (bless the DIS) posted about sell-off "restricted" rooms starting in 2011, we started watching for deals. In this category, you can only book from one of 3 room types and only at GTY status: inside, oceanview or balcony and there are no changes, you must pay in full when you book, it is already less than 90 days to sailing so no refund schedule, and so on. We booked inside and ended up on deck 2,... unless some pixie dust comes our way!
My DD and I didn't know what we were going to do for the first few days of our vacation that we have to ourselves, .... then she was on the computer just after midnight one night, checked DCL and by 1am we were booked!
It is going to be awesome to see the new ship but I am a bit glad that my folks (both turn 80 this year) will experience the smaller Magic.
See you soon
My fiance and I will be getting married on this sailing. Looking forward to our first ever cruise, and quite a special way to celebrate it!
