MARY

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY.

THANK YOU FOR THE HEADS UP ON THE MAGIC SAILING ON SATURDAY, I FINALLY SAW HER MAKING THE VOYAGE OUT TO SEA.

i never noticed how close your bdays are. happy birthday mary and belated bday wishes to mark.
now, being you guys may have an inside source, can you tell me why i am not getting notification on threads by email? its been going on for some time. i have had this happen before but usually fixes itself in a week or two. do you think i'm the only one with the problem. maybe i'm special:rotfl2: .
very hard to keep up when you have to look for the threads to see if something is new.
hello to all.:flower3:

The last batch of refit work that was done to the Dis messed with spam filtering. If you or your email host has a spam filter, check and see if they're not going in there. You may need to setup some kind of exception to prevent email from here going to spam accidentally.

thanks mark, i just went in and disabled my spam controll. i'll see if that works. i don't think it is it but time will tell. i hope it fixes the problem.
again thanks.:flower3:

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. Since we are close to the one month mark I'm going to start something I did a few cruises ago. It is called the zip-a-dee-doo-da tip of the day. Anyone remember that from staying onsite years ago? Anyway I assembled a series of tips about cruising and used it to count down to the 2005 Member Cruise. I hope you enjoy them. Look for the first one tomorrow morning!

This from Webmaster Alex on the tech board:

Yes there is an email notification problem
I'm waiting for our hosting provider to make some changes and hope to have this resolved in the next 24 hours

Mary: That would be wonderful if you did that for everyone. Thanx in advance (TIA).

Well our cruise is just a few days away (ok, 30-something). I'm going to miss our Crazy Cruisers roll call after our vacation. This forum has provided a nice outlet to post some of my day to day activities. I've enjoyed reading about others who will be sharing our week on the water. And I have had fun teasing those who are buried 10 feet deep in snow, while my A/C is runs full blast. :-p Gosh, I can remember posting back in August 2007 while I was in Vegas for the week. The only thing to do is to book the Western 7-nite for 2009 and jump onto another brand new cruise meet.

I'm looking forward to the cruise meet. It'll be great to finally put a face/voice to a name. However, I don't know much about some of the lurkers and I will probably forget some of the details the regulars have posted. So forgive me ahead of time if I can't remember a name - it may take me a few times. Heck, look how I butchered the ages. :)

Yesterday, I picked up some sushi at Thai Thai III in Cape Canaveral (yep, a sushi Easter dinner). While driving down the Beachline, the DCL Wonder sat majestic as ever loading its excited new passengers. I was imaging how exciting it is going to be for everyone on April 26 as you drive down the same Beachline and see The Magic. :worship:

Happy Birthday Mary.:wizard: we are looking forward to meeting everyone and all the fun the week will bring

Good morning everyone! As promised here is the first of the tips of the day. Nothing earth shattering. Just little tips I've learned over the years from friends and the boards and I thought it would be a great way to prepare for the cruise.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Does anyone remember this from staying onsite. There used to be a channel called the tip of the day. I thought it might be nice to count down our last month with some tips for the cruise. Here's one for today.

Your printer and a set of address labels can save you lots of time on the cruise itself.

Many people before they go on vacation will type up address labels to apply to their postcards. That way you and your family have the addresses at hand and you just peel and stick onto the postcard, write your private message and then send.

Here's the tip - and credit goes to Karen (ohiominnie) since she shared it with us on the 10 day and it worked great. At the end of the cruise you will get color coded luggage tags to put on your luggage. Information needed is:
  • Number of pieces of luggage (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3)
  • Stateroom number
  • Name
  • Address (including city, state and zip code)
Make those up in advance on your address labels. Then when you have to pack it will make it a little quicker. Plus by being printed it is easier for the porters who unload the ship to help keep your pieces together. Tag measures 4 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall to help you figure out which size label to use.

Great Tips, I like it. :thumbsup2
Thanks to Mary and Karen. These are going to be so helpful and give more time to enjoying the free time on the ship.

I'm going to look forward every morning to the Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day. Great idea!

Getting really excited :yay: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
Looking for the single digits numbers.
All are confirmed with the meet at 3 PM on deck 3 Promenade Lounge, woohoo

Thx again.

Yippee!!! I love the tips. This will make things go faster. A belated Happy Birthday to all:rainbow: See you all in a month at the Promenade Lounge.

I do this....with a slight twist. I don't print out the 1 of 3, 2 of 3 thing. Because I'm never sure if we'll use that extra duffle we pack. ;) And I figure that having the address and stateroom number at least cuts down the work on that last night.

Unless of course, they upgrade us to the Walt Suite, and then I'll have to change the number! ;)

I love Mary's daily tips. As if I wasn't excited enough already!!!

One month from today (right now in fact) I'll be waiting at MCO for Mark and Mary to get off their plane so we can head to Cocoa Beach together!!!!!

YIPPIE!!!!!!
