Good morning Cruisers

We sail in 1 week!

party: :dance3: :cheer2: :dancer: :jumping1:

It is a sunny morning here in Olean NY Blue skies and 29 degrees. We are almost like the Beatles song 8 days a week. wondering who all else has a list of to do's before we go ours seems to get longer instead of shorter as we check off our list. Nascar from Vegas today

zerog, you have lovely children. great pic and thanks for sharing. and the one week thing......don't get me so excited, i'm old!
p.s. were in canada (want to talk snow! lets go!)

Randy, I can't wait to see the "We sail in 1 week" post from Mary!! I am seriously getting more and more excited by the day! Everytime we go out shopping, I look around for things to buy for the cruise now! We are going to Target here in a bit, tomorrow is pajama day at all the elementary schools and I am going to buy myself and Kaylee a new pair of pajamas (Josh is in middle school now they are too cool to wear pajamas to school :rotfl: ). So we'll see what cruise goodies I can find then ;)

Been a bit under the weather. Not full blown sick but my stomach has been feeling a bit yucky and I have had the most awful headache since yesterday that just won't go away :(

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!!

Hi everyone I have not posted in a week or so just wanted to say HI.:) I thought that I would add our names to roll call I know that sam2cam was said but I didn’t realize that I had not given our names! . My self Samantha 26 my husband Colorado 33 and (Yes that it his name :rotfl2: 9 year old son Tanner.
I saw The Brunswick Family (speakupjc) will be staying at the AKL the night before we are too YEA!!!!! Hope that everyone had a great weekend! :hippie:

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday!

It is in the 50's right now but dropping fast. Thankfully a good deal of the snow has melted. We have more on the way but it is predicted to be very light.

We won't be dressing up for pirtate night. We have in the past but are going more casual this year. Tropical for dinner and then we'll wear our St. Lucia pirtate t-shirts for the party.

zerog, you have lovely children.

Thank you. If you look carefully, you can see where my DW put eye-liner around DS's eyes, to give him more of the Jack Sparrow pirate look. pirate:

Kay Said: ... feeling a bit yucky and I have had the most awful headache ..

We must be in sync Kay. I don't get headaches too often, but this weekend I had a wicked headache too. It was all I could do to just bury my head in the pillow. I think it had something to do with my sinuses and allergies. This is the time of year where our cars start turning yellow from all the pollen in the air. What finally helped was I went into the shower and just let the hot water pound against my head. I think the steam helped open up my sinuses.

Sam2Cam said: I thought that I would add our names to roll call.

I was having a tough time keeping everyone straight, so I created that list. Perhaps we'll add even more travelers in the next few weeks.

happy Monday everyone!!! Today is Dr. Seuss day at the school so everyone is wearing pajamas. I am working in the school office, and we will be wearing them too. I will have to drop off Kaylee at the before school care wearing my pajamas which won't be SO bad, but then I have to stop by Starbucks for my morning brew in my pj's and that place is really busy in the morning. :rotfl: Should make things interesting! Especially since I'll be wearing my make up and stuff. People will think I forgot to get dressed or something ;)

Speaking of dressing up, DH and I will most likely only be wearing a pirate shirt for pirate night. Josh is probably too cool to dress up and I hope I can get Kaylee to wear her pirate costume that she wore for Halloween! I'll pack it for sure.

I have already begun throwing things I don't want to forget to pack into a big bag!

I cant wait to make our packing list week, too fun! The weather is great here but I cant wait to pack our car up for this cruise..Our last cruise was delayed almost 5 hours because of a suspicious box...Hoping for smoother sailing

amy:cool1:

would it be ok to pack 8 weeks before vacation? I am soooo anxious to pack!! I have a feeling i won't be doing my night before throwing stuff in the suitcase routine I usually do when we go on vacation! :rotfl:

would it be ok to pack 8 weeks before vacation?

We were packed for a hospital stay weeks before our DS was born. For the cruise I have a list, which I continually add items. Actually, I've had a travel spreadsheet in Excel for years. I made this check-list years ago, when I forgot to pack my dress shoes for a family get-together. I ended up wearing tennis shoes with my suit. :-)

If you make a list, just be sure to be meticulous the day of travel - that is, take your time and go thru each item, one by one.

Shoes - Check :thumbsup2
Passport - Check :thumbsup2
Luggage tags - Check. :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone!

I'm a list maker as well and have one pretty much set for our cruises or WDW trips. The tricky one is when we take our road trip to WDW and then our cruise (for the DVC Member Cruise). Then I break the list into which piece of luggage it goes in so that some never get opened on the road.

I think there is nothing wrong with packing this early....I probably think that because I started this past weekend!!! I bought my kids new summer clothes and since it is still not warm in Jersey yet we started to pack. I am a list maker and a tote keeper (we are up to our second tote of stuff we need to not forget) and this year is insane. We are staying with friends in orlando for 9 days before our cruise and we are driving. So we do not all have our own suitcase. I have a formal clothing and dressier clothing one because we won't need that for the week before. We have a shoe bag we won't need for the week before. We are planning on just sticking them in a closet somewhere. I told Chris that I would need friday just to do laundry and repack because it will be like we are going on vacation again!!!!!!! I love the insanity!!!!

I have a huge tote full of stuff already full of things that I don't want to forget. I can't quite bring myself to pull out the suitcases yet! :rotfl2: DH would think I have lost my mind. I did order Disney crocs for Kaylee and I! :goodvibes Can't wait to get them!

You guys have gotten me excited. I hope to have some downtime tonight (I work nightshift) and cant wait to make my lists. Then I will pass them around the family so we dont all have to buy some of the same things (tylenol, etc). There are some great lists on this board.

there was an excel packing list somewhere, but I can't find it. Does anyone have the link?

I can't believe we are talking about packing already, and it's still 2 months away! :rotfl:
