Mary,
No offense here. On some of our other cruises we were talking on the DIS 10 or more PAGES a day for 18 months. We, literally, knew the ins and outs of everyone's lives
intimately. And formed some really tight bonds. I guess part of my reasoning for not being as involved with this thread are twofold....I'm running in literally every single direction and I don't have a lot of time to be here. The second is the advent of my blog. When things used to happen in my life, I'd run to my cruise meet threads and share them (kids getting into plays, Mike being diagnosed with a kitty litter kidney stone, births, deaths, etc) but now, with my blog, I run there and share it in a different way. I know several of my cruise buddies have followed me there and kept in touch, and some have not. Unfortunately, I just don't have time to double post everything.
I hope that anyone on this thread who sees me onboard will feel comfortable enough to come up to me and say hi. I'll be the slightly overweight girl with spiky hair who is more than likely laughing/playing games/chilling/chasing kids/eating double lobster and creme brulee.
Every cruise I've been on has had a different vibe (as Mary put it). Some have been filled with fellow DIS'ers who have planned out multiple activities a day. Some have been very low key with lots of relaxing and no feelings like I had to be anywhere at anytime. And both kinds were great in their own way.
Personally, with as busy as I've been with the kids, and as busy as Mike has been at work with flu season and with the podcast, we are looking forward to just chilling. I figure the only time we HAVE to move is to get on and off the ship. Other than that, everything is pretty much optional.
