forgot to say - you would be laughing at me as i have some scraps of paper in front of me with notes on who is who - I am terrible at names, faces, places etc so I am really having a hard time keeping up and to be honest there are about 6 or 7 main posters so far so heaven knows what will happen later (a notebook maybe) the sad part is that i still wont remember who is who in 15 months time!!! 66 weeks - that sounds sooooooooooo much better:cool1:

Sounds like me. I have a terrible memory for things like that. The buttons and photo gallery REALLY help me! :) Once you cruise with Mark and Mary, you'll never want to cruise without them again. That may not make a lot of sense to you....but wait until after the cruise and you'll know what I mean! :goodvibes

Another suggestion for everyone is that if your signature doesn't already have your first name in it that might help. That way as we correspond we can use first names and really get to know each other.

Mary, Mary. Don't you know the internet is crawling with psychos? You shouldn't give out your personal information like that!!! :lmao:

I think it's funny we tell our kids "don't give out your personal information on the internet. don't arrange to meet people you know from the internet.".....

oh yeah and..."do what i say, NOT what i do!!!!" :lmao:

me: "I have stuff to do. Talk to you later"
him: "I can hear you typing!"

ooops! Caught! :rotfl:

tell him you're typing up a "honey-do" list and if he keeps calling you're going to add things to it!!! ;)

Hi,

When we went on the Western cruise this past March, we were in Parrot Cay on formal night. My husband was in a tux and I would have liked to have been in Lumiere's or even Animator's.

What night is formal night on the Eastern? My TA's husband passed away about 2 weeks ago so I won't call her for a couple of weeks to request the dining rotation.

Thanks,
Jen

What we've done on other cruises is figure out when formal night is and figure out when pirate night will be. Then someone calls someone at DCL who can help us and we link ALL of our ressies together along with requests for tablemates. So we've ended up with an entire section of the restaurants being DISers!! What did we take up the last time, Mary, about 1/5 of the dining room? And that was just us Main dining ppl!!!

Hi,

I'm here off and on - I'm trying to get dinner started, look for a cordless phone that is off the hook and get ready to go out with one of dd's teachers.

Jen

No tastings for us. Not sure what we'll do this time. Depends on the airline regulations at the time. My dad makes really good wine, so for the Blabbermouth cruise we brought on about 5 bottles of wine. We asked our room steward to make sure we had two wine glasses every day (instead he brought about 25 the first day!) and we'd open the wine, have some before dinner and then have some later in the evening. MUCH cheaper that way!!!

Hi,

I need to add to my frantic state - my dd13 backed up the kitchen sink by putting potato peelings down the drain. The dishwasher is on and is backing up into the sink and I need to leave in 35 minutes.

Jen

didn't get a whole lot done here today. kids took the morning for a snow day. whenever we get a late start with school it doesn't go as well. better to get them when they are fresh. :) then dh got the news that not only are his tires shot (we knew that) but his back brakes were shot, and there is some sensor thing going on. Add to that his 90,000 mile maintenance....:scared1: I'm loving that he pays for car expenses through the office!!! bad news to that is dd will have to miss play rehearsal tomorrow evening b/c Mike will need my car for work.

also....after much talking and discussing, the whole family has decided that we REALLY love our cat....

and we're all really worried that getting another kitty will change his personality for the worse. today Mowana got lots of extra loving and was very sweet. I contacted the shelter about taking our hold of. Even ds who has a very very tender heart for animals (and cat allergies!) is completely fine with it. I thought there would be tears, but he's been very open about how he doesn't want to "ruin" Mowana. :)

(sigh)

ACK! Turn the dishwasher off. That'll buy you some time.
Other than that, I'm clueless as to what to do. :(

on our June 26th 2006 cruise Eileen and I did the wine tasting informative to us. our two sons did the beer tasting they liked it so much they did it a second time when it was offered again they said the beers were different and learned the history of beer. I did the tequila tasting alone no one would join me learned the history of tequila. reminded me of when i was in the Navy in San Diego and a number of us went to Tijuana Mexico. We think we will also only do the sky ride in St. Thomas. Mike

Jen, you will need to take off the p-trap under the sink and dump everything out. Mike

That's all we did on our 1/06 cruise and we loved it (besides shopping in the shops right there by the dock.) The views are beautiful up there. There is some bird show that the kids totally loved. We are not big excursion people---not beachy, not athletic. If we do an excursion, we'll do an island tour (just me and Mike) or something the kids want to do (a dolphin encounter, maybe)

Here's the kids (including my tenderhearted Nick) in St. Thomas after the bird show:

said "you're from the UK" and "you just learned a Midwest accent!!" :lmao:

that's SO funny!! I love British accents! I could listen to my boyfriend (his name is Orlando Bloom, btw, have you heard of him? :rotfl: ) all day long!

I'd be fine with that. We are booked on main dining right now, I am still debating on that one though. We are on the West Coast and usually eat dinner late, so I am worried that main dining will be too early for us! :confused3

Jen, did you have any problems with that last time?

any one planning on attending any of the tastings Beer, wine, tequila.

maybe the wine. We are not big drinkers. DH will have an occassional beer, and I am more into the colorful drinks that come with a little umbrella ;) Do they have margaritas at the tequila tasting?

My kids both have elevated eye pressures (bad bad family history of glaucoma in Mike's family) and they both have been going to ophtolmologists for quite awhile. Anyway, the head of the practice they go to is Dr. Orlando. My son's doctor is Dr. Bloom. Everytime I think about Nick's doc, I think "Orlando Bloom." ;) Then I have to remind myself it's Dr. MICHAEL Bloom! ;)
