April 22nd 2010 Wonder, Anyone going?

I looked in the meets area and there is no thread for this cruise. Anyone else on this cruise?

This will be my first short cruise as I have only done a 7 night on the Magic. We have one of my best friend's and her husband coming with us this time so I am super stoked!

I am very excited to see your message. I put something in the meet section and it went unanswered. DH, DS and I will be on board on April 22 to celebrate DS's 10th birthday. This is our 3rd cruise (others were both RCI), but due to our love of disney and the special birthday, I am really looking forward to this cruise. Kimberley

Hi Kimberley!

I was so bummed when I logged on and saw no thread for our cruise! I mean its only 51 days away!

DH and I are booked and all ready to go. We have another couple travelling with us as well. Unfortunately they didn't read all of the passport info when they booked and neither of them have passports so they're not sure what to do and we're not sure what to tell them.

Ok our friends just got their whole travel situation sorted out. They don't need passports, just birth certificates and id's so now they're getting excited!

I was going to suggest the Birth Certificate option. They might even get their passports more quickly than projected. It is so wonderful that you will have your travel companions with you. I am really starting to get excited for the trip. We just booked last week and I feel like to days are going to fly by. I hope so!!

Actually I know there is another poster I think named Sharpie? That is going to celebrate their son's 10th birthday. She just hasn't showed up yet. It is their 1st DCL cruise.

It will be interesting to see if anyone else joins us. I have a feeling that this sailing is not selling to quickly. We just booked last week, ourselves. I received my passporter for DCL cruises today and I can't wait for the kids to go to sleep so that I can dive into it. Do you have any suggestions for any other reading I should do? Let me know. I hope that the days go by very quickly.

Its so funny I was looking down the Meet list (before Irishcowboy added us to the list) and there were meet threads for almost all of the cruises but ours. I had been so excited about finding our meet thread and getting to know people before the cruise I wonder why the cruise isn't booking well when all the ones around it have meet threads. Oh well gotta look on the bright side, maybe this means we might get upgraded at the port LOL!

I'd be happy to try to answer any questions you might have. Remember Disney has a free soda fountain on Deck 9 so we always bring closable mugs with us so we don't have to use paper cups all week

Who's getting excited???

We have a couple that is going with us and everyday I send my friend, the girlfriend a new picture from the picture a day thread to help pump her up. She's never been on any kind of cruise before much less a DCL, so I am so excited to be with her on her first cruise!

YEA!!!

I am so excited about our first DISNEY CRUISE.

This is our second cruise ever. Dont ask me why it took so long to discover this wonderful means of vacation. First ever cruise was on Carnival on one of their old boats and we had a ball so I can only imagine a Disney boat!!! Combined with my Disney obsession and

We will actually celebrate 2 birthdays.

My DH's bday is April 1
My DD2 bday is April 23 and she will be 14

Also coming along is my DD1 who is 18 and my Dgranddaughter who will be 15 months and already can recognize Mickey, Minnie and Donald. (you go Nana!)

I almost think she said Mickey the other day... or at least I'm saying that she did.

Is anyone doing any specific cruise prep at this point? I am feverishly trying to find a good airfare. I think that my son and I are going to have to sacrifice and spend two days at WDW post cruise to get a better price. My husband is headed to Miami for work post cruise and won't be joining us. What about you all?

NHmom, I just got my magnet paper to make our door magnets and I have have been searching through pages and pages of pictures trying to figure out what I want to make magnets out of. I also went to the magnet thread and got Jordak to make some wonderful magnet signs for both my DH and I as well as our couple friends that are going with us.

For the couple that is going with us, this is their first cruise ever so I am also trying to enhance their exciement by sending them a picture per day every day until the cruise!

I also went bathing suit shopping and finally found one I liked but I am short so I had to take in the unadjustable straps . Also, just today I started SLOWLY going through some of my summer clothes trying to pick out an item here and there that I want to pack. Don't want to search through them too fast because I don't want to finish everything too soon!

As for our travel, we are driving the 8 hours to the port!
