Countdown to Cruising!!!
1 month to go!!!
31 days & counting!!!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Ok, something quite funny today! I logged onto DCL.com to finish up my online documents and I was filling out my Payment Authorization forms. It came up with Amanda's family and Cyndi's family (all of them), saying that they were traveling in the same party, different reservation. So, at least we know that we're linked for dinner!!! :woohoo:

:cool1: I noticed that on mine a month or so ago. There were no unexpected names there, right? :confused3  Just want to be sure DCL knew what they were doing!

I had SERIOUS withdrawal this afternoon. Kept trying to login & got server error. I said "Nooooooo! I NEED to talk about the cruise!!" I think I seriously have a problem.

No, no unexpected names. I guess that the rep that I talked to yesterday saw all 3 of your family's names and thought that was a BUNCH of people that we were cruising with. In any case, we're all linked and I can't wait!!!

 :cool1: :yay:

Atleast they got it right!

Aaaaah, one month from tonight will be our first night onboard. I bet we'll all collapse after all the day's events! I'm hoping the fact of people sleeping better onboard is true. DD is (and always has been) an early riser. If she sleeps past 7am while on the ship, I'll be doing a big happy dance. :cheer2:

My girls pretty much collapse in bed each night!!! It doesn't take much with SO many things happening. And heck, I fall asleep pretty easily onboard, and I tend to normally take 15-20 minutes to relax enough to sleep. But not onboard, I'm asleep in no time!!!:cloud9:

Amanda

I think my little guy has your DD beat, he's usually up between 545am and 630am as you can tell he is a really early riser but he also goes to bed early most days. It will be interesting to see if the sea air does any thing for him, who know if he sleeps better on ship I might have to just move there...:rotfl2:

Hudson (5) is the same way! He's usually up around 6 during the week and about 5:30 on weekends! Lucky for me, he usually wants daddy to get up to get him breakfast. ;) Sometimes he'll go back to bed after eating but not usually. He always wants to eat as soon as he is up, so we'll see how he does with waiting until we're all ready to go for the day before having breakfast. We may need to order room service just for him! He crashes before he hits the pillow between 8 and 8:30, so with late dining, he may be asleep at the table!

Amy & Amanda-- I haven't checked our ressie yet but that's GREAT!!!!

I was having DIS withdrawl yesterday!!! I needed the pick-me-up at work and it was taken away from me!!!! I'm so happy its back today! I was thinking about it last night, what will I do (stalk) when we get back? My days at work could feel even longer. I know I will still have the DIS but......you guys!

I'll be stalking all day today, maybe I have a chance to post, I'm not too sure how busy I'll be.

OT--American Idol, I'm not too sure I want to watch it anymore. Last night my DH asked if its a singing compitition or a popularity compitition? What ever.

Have a great day everyone!!

Cyndi

cyndi i agree. i didn't watch the show just wanted to know the result. we have fun poking at Ryan's "you are NOT.......going home" or "YOU......ARE......staying another week" blah blah blah

how about Survivor??!! i won't spoil if anyone has it DVRed. i must say i popped on the website and there are 'street interviews' and i only watched a couple. i was on the fence for Rocky, now i know i don't like him

look at our tickers!!!

i'll try to post the DISmeet sign i made later today. i added the breakfast for Capt Marvins folks, but where and when? or remove?

off to start my day -- first off going to log into DCL and check for our linkage and also see if parasailing is showing up. folks are posting on the main board that it is temporarily halted due to DCL terminating the contracted localers who actually did the activity! poof!

I'm sure that we'll be ordering room service each morning for at least some pastries and milk for the girls. They are also the kind that needs to eat first thing in the morning! It's like they open their eyes and the first words are "I'm hungry, I want breakfast". So, after a few cruises of this, I learned last time to just have some breakfast early, then get up, have showers, and go up to the dining rooms.

Well, depending on how it goes, which looks pretty good at this point, we've actually kept our October cruise thread going. We talk about life, etc, plus, a bunch of us are doing a scrapbook circle journal, so we have a Yahoo group for that. I've made SO many good friends through the DIS. And, being in FL, it's fun to visit people when they come down to WDW for vacation. We pop over for the day, spend time with friends, then go home. It's awesome!!!

I'm with you on the AI consensus!! I was very disappointed to see the results last night. It just doesn't seem fair!!!

I hope so, 'cause I'd miss you guys.

It's like they open their eyes and the first words are "I'm hungry, I want breakfast".

This is EXACTLY what Hudson does! Lennon is one to wait awhile for breakfast. Some days its HOURS after he wakes up. I learn a long time ago to not force it on him. He'll eat when he's ready.

Isn't it SO exciting to see it down to under one month!!!! Now we're down to counting days, not months or weeks!!!

Speaking of tickers, Amy, I noticed you have two! Did you book it on Jan 31st or are you going to book it on our cruise for the discount/OBC?

And Idol has me so upset right now! :furious: There is no way Stephanie and Chris R. should have been in the bottom two! Every year when something like this happens, DH says they do it on purpose just to cause some scuttlebutt. I think he's wrong because it's not fair to those of us that spend the time voting if the Idol people have it all planned out already.

Val my little guy is usually in bed at 600pm/630pm so I think I like your 800pm bed time a little better because at home we usually have to hurry and eat and then off to bed because if he goes to bed too much later he turns into very winey little boy. I signed up for the early dining time and I'm not even sure if he will make it thru that. He also is a "I'm really starving Mommy" kid in the morning so we will probally have to order something to hold him over in the morning while we get ready, too.

Last year when we went to Disney the first night we went out to dinner and we looked over at our DS and he was alseep in his French Fries and Chicken (by the way his favorite meal, I sure hope they have it on board? do they?)

PS-So is everyone getting ready now that we are under the 1 month mark? I still have to find our summer clothes(they are somewhere in the house,we certainly haven't needed them lately)and start deciding what to bring and what I need to buy. I think I better hurry up time is running out.

PSS- I have another question for you guys? Do you work or are some of you SAHMs? I am a SAHM I have been for a around 5 years, some days I wish I worked but most days I'm just fine at home, how about everyone else?

I actually booked it on 1/31, so I could get a SPH room again!!! :thumbsup2 Since it's Christmas, I knew that the price would be outrageous, so the only way to get a SPH was to book that first day. And, I'm glad that I did because they were all gone that day.

I'm working towards being ready. How's that for an answer? I am dedicating quite a bit of time this weekend to finding our summer clothing, getting the outfits washed & put into Ziplocs, and put in the suitcase. Then making a list of what's for each night - I might even do really well & put it in with my other packing spreadsheet, so I can check it off as being done.

Guess I have 3 Saturday's between now & then to get my act together. We're having an early birthday party for DD on the 14th, so that entire day is pretty much out. I know the week that we leave I'll be so excited, I probably won't know what I've done or haven't done. So the more I can get ahead now, the better.

Now, back to the questions - I work full time, 40 hrs. a week. I have since I was 18 years old! Only exception was taking 8 weeks of maternity leave when DD was born. I really, really didn't want to come back, but had to anyway. You can tell which days are really slow for me, because I'm always here. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

O.K. -- just one more American Idol rant. I cannot watch anymore until Sunjiah is off!!! I tried the mute button, but I still had to watch him!! How did he not even make it in the final two?:confused3

It is getting so close....yipee!
