We're there 4/17-4/23. I think we went the same dates last year, but this time around it's Easter break (unfortunately).

You went last April, right? I remember seeing you in that thread a lot.

I cancelled last April. We were supposed to go. I’m going 4/14-4/23. I guess that week after Easter will be busy. I didn’t have any problems getting CRT on 4/17 and that was only 60+2. Crazy

We finally book ADRs tomorrow morning, as I know I’ve said in this thread … excited but super nervous!

And I'm done, phew! I can't say it went perfectly, but we got enough of what we wanted, including Sci-Fi and Space. The biggest issue is that I tried to book on my phone right at 6 and kept getting error messages, but fortunately switched to my computer at 6:06 and then everything was fine.

Here's what we ended up with ...

4/21: Liberty Tree, 6:10
4/22: Garden Grill, 11:50
4/23: Oga's, 10:00; Sci-Fi, 11:45 (I'm going to try to switch Oga's to Tuesday 4/19, we'll see if it works!)
4/24: Space 220 Lounge, 4:30

Thanks for the tips and good wishes, and I hope you're able to find more of what you wanted as time goes on, Roscoe18! I'm about to try the Touring Plans reservation finder for the first time myself to see if I can switch the Oga's day and time ...

I haven’t been able to do anything with dining on the app, except cancel.

I'm helping my friend plan her first trip and I'm "warning" her that anyone checking in before her gets to book dining ahead of her during her days. Her ADR day is tomorrow to spread 4/19 - 4/ 24. She is trying for Space 220 on her arrival day - 4/19. From what I know, it's super very very likely that she will not find availability for this day at Space - and, she has 10 in her party (she will be booking 5 while her sister books her family of 5). Should I completely dash her hopes or let her be??

Sadly, it’s not very likely. I tried to get Space 220 this past Tuesday for day 3 of the trip, for only 4 people in my party; and nothing was available at the restaurant or lounge for lunch or dinner.

Based on my experience this morning, 60+6 is the absolute earliest you can get Space 220, and even then, you have to be very fast. I saw lots of options for both dinner and the lounge on 4/23 this morning when I logged on at 6, but by 6:25 or so, they were all gone.

Definitely won’t be able to get it. Maybe set up an alert and she could get lucky?

We are going the week leading up to Easter too! We've always done summer, so have always packed shorts/tees everyday. What is the weather like in April? Anyone wear yoga pants in the parks? Do the nights feel cool...need jackets or pants? Trying to figure out how to pack...

We went during Easter before and I didn’t wear yoga pants at all during the day. I didn’t find the nights cool either. We mostly wore shorts and tank tops. I wore some of my rompers too but I never wore long pants. It’s in the 80s/90s I thought.

ETA: I just googled. Said the lows could be low 60s but I didn’t feel like it was. We were really hot some days. I’m from NY though so we were coming from someplace a lot cooler

I agree with Jacq7414. We went the same week in last April last year, and I saw the forecast and assumed I'd need sweatshirts, jackets etc. But we all wore shorts and t-shirts the entire time we were there, even in the early mornings. Sometimes I was slightly chilly getting on the buses right before 7, but never enough to actually put on an extra layer. And it always warmed up quickly!

Omg, what? We booked two weeks ago and JetBlue was $1200 pp!! It was so painful. I couldnt believe it. What dates are you going?

Hi! Happy to see this thread! We’re going for the first time this April, the week after Easter. Staying in a standard room at the Poly and have two boys, 6 and 9. This is a rescheduled first trip from April 2020 and that one was planned so well that i don’t feel I have a good handle on this one. I don’t have much in the way of ADRs—I was hesitant to commit to many long table meals with two likely overtired kids and I wasn’t sure what Genie+ ride times we’ll have. For arrival date, I have alerts for Ohana or Kona and *really* hoping I get a res at one of them that evening since it’s where we’re staying! We also have ADRs at Jungle Skipper Canteen, Prime Time, Tusker House and a fireworks dessert party. We’re taking a 3-night Disney cruise with extended family immediately beforehand so thats where I’m hoping to knock out the bulk of character interactions/dining. Looking forward to reading about others’ plans!!

Jen81NYC, welcome! We’ll be at the Poly at the same time with our 7 year old son. You can see my ADR list above, I’ve also added Jungle Skipper since then.

Genie+ is so new I think almost no one is really prepared … but these boards (and the Touring Plans blog) have left me feeling moderately confident, at least!
