So far so good! Just stressin' about the weather forecast now! Eek!

Hey everybody! I just discovered this thread and thought I would join in!!

Five days until my teen daughter and I head down to WDW. It's been almost six years since our last trip so there is so many new things to see! We are staying at Pop Century for the first time. I haven't made a room request yet, just not sure which area we would prefer. I 'think' I finalized our FP+ choices yesterday, lol. We are paying oop for food since it is just me and her and we don't eat that much. The only adr I made is BOG for lunch on our last day because daughter wants to eat there. The menu doesn't thrill me. The 25th is my birthday and I started thinking maybe I should do a sit-down for dinner but I can't find availability at anyplace I might want to eat. No matter, I'll be at the happiest place on earth, right?!?!

We leave Thursday! Stressing about the weather, but there isn't anything I can do about that. Am hoping that the weather people are wrong, and we don't get much rain. If not, this will probably be my first and last trip in April!

At least I won't be at work!

I got the email saying that I "may" be able to, so we'll see what happens. When I get into POFQ's lobby, I'll grab the first CM with a tablet I see, and ask what the deal is. Since I plan on getting to the resort at 7:30am, I have absolutely zero expectations of my room being ready. I likely won't see it until 2-3am that night (unless I talk myself into a mid-day break, but looking at my schedule for that day, I really don't see anywhere to fit one in). So we'll see how it all goes this weekend!

OhioMom, I'm excited for you! You have so much to see and you'll love Pop! We arrive on the 26th. I'm excited for my oldest daughter because even though she grew up going to Disney, because of college she hasn't been in 4 years...never seen NF. And she's also getting to go to Universal and see Diagon Alley and Hogwarts for the first time.

I'm bursting! I feel ridiculous because I want to get ready, pack a suitcase or something, but its too soon.

Hi, gang! I'm here! And guess what I did yesterday. I RODE EVEREST! It was super scary but fun and I will probably be ready to try it again next year. THANKS to everyone who told me I could do it. (I also got caught in the deluge at AK.) Weather today is supposed to be just a slight chance of a light sprinkle, so I am ready to tackle my "4 Parks" day.

It's 11:30 pm and I am exhausted but triumphant. 4 parks, 1 day, and I did everything I intended (admittedly not very ambitious ). And the weather was great.

Try not to stress over any forecasts. Last week, I swear they made it sound like it would rain at least se nearly every day this week. So far, we had some brief late afternoon showers Sunday, and a massive deluge Monday afternoon that continued into off-on showers, but it was done by 8 pm. Yesterday and today have had plenty of sun and no rain.
