April 19, 2008 - Western - VERY Early Roll Call - Anyone??!!

Hey guys.
Denise: thanks again for that great photo website. :thumbsup2

I just wanted to let you all know I cannot guarentee we will make it to Fishlips so I dont think you should include us in your ressie.
We like to hang by the pool quite a bit and may just be there come 6pm. :beach:
If we happen to make it out around that time we will pop in to say hi, but not to eat. Thanks everyone for putting this all together.:grouphug:

Antoinette:flower3:

Hypermommy: Could you add Fishlips to your Hyperlist.. .pretty please. ..that way it will be all in one place... Not that I am being bossy, but if you could do screen name and head count that would be FABULOUS!

All: If you are interested in the Pre-Cruise meet Friday April 18th at Fishlips around 6pm please post your intentions. I don't want anyone left out! The restaurant takes reservations! Michelle

Do you see I have it on the spreadsheet?

-Joan

Denise: please take me off the reservation for fishlips. I'm not sure if we will be able to make it or not. My parents are coming up from Englewood and not sure what our plans will be. Of course, if we can, we'll stop in.

Please also, add me to the deck walking thing. What time anyway?

About the shirts: I purchased shirts, as you know, already and want to use those expensive t-shirt for the first day!

About the picture: I'm confused as usual! Are we just pitching in money for one group picture on the first day? That might be hard to collect for, do you really trust these people (just kidding)? I think a group picture at the Promanade Lounge is the best opportunity for us. We might not see each other when we first get onboard. Just a suggestion!

Greetings all!

Sorry to have been MIA these last few days but my weekends are booked for the whole month of Feb with concerts, niece/nephew babysitting, b-day parties!!! Plus work has been a little busy so I can't get on much during the day as I'd like and by the time I get home from work. I'm too tired to even drag myself to the computer! Also, my boss has colon cancer and has been undergoing chemo treatments just before Xmas, so I'm not sure on a day-to-day basis how she will be feeling and if she is able to make it in. So far so good tho.

In any event, Denise, Michele and Joan; the 3 of u are SO on top of everything! I commend your organization and efforts.

Michele: I'm not sure my DH and I can make FISHLIPS so I don't think you should include us in the ressie. Since we will be arriving in Orlando on 4/15 and spending sometime in WDW, I'm not sure what time we will be heading into Cape Canaveral on 4/18. And when we get to Cape Canaveral, we'll probably just want to relax until we get super hungry! My DH is not one that likes to rush around and squeeze a gazillon things in a day especially when he's on vacation! If we are out an about around that time, we may stop in to say hi, but we won't eat. Hope that helps!

Hypermommy Denise: I sent you a photo of me and DH to add to the mix! Also, on the hyperlist, please add my name to the 4:30PM Monday Well-Being Couples Massage and to the all day relaxation on Castaway Cey.

Joan: LMK if you need me to update anything on the SS.

Hope everyone is well and thanks for organizing all these things!

What do you think?

If the shuttle scheduled to take off on April 24th goes ahead-will we be able to see it from where we are?
Think we are at sea headed for Castaway Cay that day.

Count us out for the Fishlips and Fish extender exchange. We've got so much going on that week, we just won't have the time!

I am a bit more curious about the Cigar and Cognac meet. What time is this planned for?

Hello, I figured since it is my husband that wanted to do this, I should answer.
I guess it was meant to be a casual thing, if anyone was around and up to it some night or nights, the guys (or ladies) could do that and I was thinking for the ladies that wanted, that could be a good 1st or 2nd walk! Anyways, its just something to do if the clubs aren't hopping I guess!

that would be really neat to see....and if i am reading it correctly it looks like there is also one going off on april 17th so if they are delayed a day we might be able to see it too!!

We should be able to. I heard the boat makes a big deal about the launch and puts it up on the big screen. My familily was just talking about this yesterday, but unfortunately they rarely go on schedule.

I had a dream last night that I was on the cruise and I looked around at the sea and totally freaked out because I couldn't see any land near by. Now today I feel nervous that I will feel this way on the cruise. I am a bit claustrophobic in certain situations. Has anyone felt this way and then went on a cruise and was fine?? I just need a little reassurance. I have been so excited and I'd hate to ruin the fun now.:confused3

Hi all,

Much going on on this board (lovin it!) and I'm at work so I only have a minute. Will catch up later. But I wanted to let you know, Angie, that I've had the same thought. I don't know how I'm going to feel when I'm that far from land and can't see land anywhere. But I've already told myself if I start to freak out about it then I'm going to go inside somewhere and have a few drinks and then it won't bother me anymore.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Catch you guys later!

boy i cant wait for our cruise...its snowing out here:scared1: but it does look pretty coming down :thumbsup2
can't wait for the nice hot sun:goodvibes

Hi all,

Anty30 sent me photos of her family and I've updated the photo site I put up. Y'all go out there and see the great pics!

Don't have the link? Want it? Well, it's easier'n pie. Just send photos of your family to me at hypermommy@comcast.net and I'll be happy to add them to the site. Once I get them up, I'll send you the link. I do it this way (not making the link general knowledge) not to be a pain (yeah, I know :rotfl2: ) but to respect the privacy and protect the kids. In case you haven't guessed by now, I'm a bit protective of kids :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So send me your photos (remember, it's hypermommy@comcast.net) and I'll be happy to get yours up and send you the link so you can see everyone else. It's great getting to put faces with the names! Oh, and when you send your photos, let me know your name here on the Disboards too. That's included in the information so everyone will know who's photo they're viewing.

Just sent you our pic hope it is what you need for the page...:upsidedow

Denise, I sent you a couple of pics. hope they get to you as I'm not very adept if you know what I mean. As far as freaking out, don't worry I'll bring enough Valium for everone:rolleyes1

To those of you who are worrying about being claustrophobic.... you won't be! :cool1:
I am very, very claustrophobic (my MRI and CT scan last year were nearly the death of me, never mind what they were testing for!) and I absolutly love cruising. The cabins (even an inside) have never bothered me, there's plenty of room to move around and you don't get that "closed in " feeling at all, even in the bathrooms. When you are out on deck and can see the beautiful sight of endless water , claustrophobia is nowhere to be found. The water is so peaceful and just so........beautiful (sorry to use the same adjective twice, but that's all that comes to mind):cloud9: that you don't feel closed in even when you can't see land. In fact, I prefer it when I can't see land. It's so amazing to watch the other cruise ships in the distance at night- you can see the outlines of their lights and it is a feeling like no other.

Fishlips - no, we'll be flying to FL while you're eating - ENJOY!:dance3:
Fish Extender - not this time
Group photo - yes - when ever / where ever
Yankee Swap - yes

I just want to say, it seems like when you experience the ocean, all fears leave you. I'm very afraid of water and was so "in awe" with the strength and beauty of the ocean, I didn't think of it. You do find yourself amazed, rather than scared that there is no land in sight at times and its so hard to do anything but watch the ocean at all times! You will absolutely be amazed! Okay, thats enough corny stuff! You will all LOVE IT!!!!:dance3:

Whoo, Hooo,

TJeff's family will be driving down to Florida for some "fun in the sun" this weekend. Next week is Feb vacation for us and I decided to see if the DW wanted to drive down for the week. (I'm luck enough that I can get the week off)

I know Denise if from FL, but is anyone else?

Denise where in FL?
We're heading down to North Port for the first half of the week and then up to New Symernia Beach for the second half. Are you near Daytona at all?

As for the cruise:
Fishlips - No (wife allergic to sea food)
Fish extenders - No
Yankee swap - No for now, but if that changes it shouldn't matter, those that show up with a gift, get a gift. 1 for 1.
Group pic - most likely not, but if it can be worked into our sched, we would love to join you all.
