Wdhinn89: You can purchase the DCL transfers and they will cost you 69 per person...and I believe it is each way.

We are going back and forth between staying overnight at the port and spening friday relaxing at the pool with a car rental from MCO and returning it in the am before boarding
OR
staying at a value resort in WDW, doing a park for the day on Friday and doing the transfers...but if we do this and I don't think we got the final word from my mom (a travel agent) on this I believe that we have to take the magical express from the resort to MCO (which is free with the overnight stay) and then the paid transfers from MCO to the port. I am trying to find out if I can bypass the airport in this equation...but I think I have to stay at a moderate resort for that.

All in all....the hotel at the port option (I have reservations at CI&S, is 99 dollars and I can get a car for around 50 dollars )is cheaper than the WDW option...but I have free passes into MK that will expire if we don't use them in April(raincheck from our failed MNSSHP) and we wouldn't have to do any driving..and who can resist some extra :wizard: before the trip....so needless to say we are still on the fence about the whole thing.

Hi Joan...I don't know about any night being better than another, probably personal preferences...I just know that many people don't like to do it on pirate night...and I would recommend not doing it on the first night you are in Animator's Palette since dinner is a show so to speak...but the unfortunate thing is..you won't know what your rotation will be for your restaurants before you board...but that said...you will visit AP on one of the first three nights...so cancel out the first three nights and pirate night (don't know when that is on the Western cruise) and then I think that you have a few options that will work best...but now that I think of it...I think Palo may not do dinner on nights that we are in Port..only on sea nights, I believe...you should check the main board for the pirate night and the palo dinner nights info.

Hi all...hope you are doing well.
Can't wait for April...we are hitting the 5 month mark! Can't believe it!

Hello Everybody
We´re just back from a great trip to Disneyland Paris.
Now we are looking forward to next year,it was so cold in Paris(4°C).
The Parks were not crowded at all, that was a plus, but the cold!!!!
Nice FLorida weather, that´s what we are now looking forward to.
Take care

Welcome back Conny. Disneyland Paris is on my to-do list. :artist: How big is it? How many days do you think you need there?

Joan: we went to Palo on our last night cruising. Came back from Castaway Cay, fed the kids, put them in the club and went around 8pm. I cant remember if the kids graduation was that night or thurs. night, but we did that too. Next time we will probably do it on Mon. or Tues. Mon. is formal night, but after we take pics with the kids we will change them and put them in the clubs. So we can eat wherever we want.

Cant believe we are hitting the 5 month mark. I seriously need to start a diet.:hourglass

The price for round trip transfers is $ 69.00 per person. You may opt to buy one way which would be $ 35.00.

___________
We always rent a car from the airport to the Port. We do a one way rental then take the shuttle from the ship back to the car agency to pick up a car for return.

You may also get a town car. Round trip from the airport is about $190 - $200 plus tip.

Pirate night should be Wed. night (Cozumel day) Remember the Palo Bruch too!

yogibigdog...just being nosey!...If you don't mind, can I ask how is it that it seems every three months or so you are traveling...cruising both DCL and others (I believe it was non-dcl last time, right?) and WDW? I am very jealous! I thought I saw in one of your pics from your posts, young children.. How do you manage with kids and school and all...or are you retired and those are your grandchildren?

Please, please share the secrets of your traveling success!
Michelle

Hey Cheryl,

yeah, our flight leaves MCO at 5:30, so i'm still working out what we might do all day. DH will want to stay in "relax" mode, so I think a park is out... any ideas?:confused3

Besides the obvious being a Disney fanatic :cool1: - let just say some are work related. I try to bring my kids when I can but I try not to pull them out of school. Last trip was non Disney and my Mom came with me. After my up coming trip on the Wonder I am going to squeeze in a few days at the park. When I am that close I have to go to MVMVP.

it's a thought
it's hard for me to be that close and not go to a park, i don't know how he can
as it is, we'll be spending two nights at AKL - how do i not sneak in a MK visit?- aside from the fact that it will cost us over $200 for one day at a park...

keep em coming...

Will you have a car? There is Kennedy Space Center or if you just want to relax and enjoy a pool get a room for the day at the Hyatt in the airport. Last time I check it was under $ 100.00

i was thinking down town disney also, or I do believe the hyatt has day rates were you get a room and the kids can swim in the pool.

we really want to go to the magic kingdom (i'm a kid at heart) however.... in epcot the spring flower show is going on and from what i have read from these boards it is truely beautiful so i believe we are doing epcot.

Thanks Anty for the welcome back.
Disneyland Paris is not as big as WDW.
There are 2 Parks. The Disneyland park is very similar to the Magic Kingdom and the Disney Studios is comparable to MGM.
In my opinion it´s doable in 2 days,if you know the american Parks.A lot of the rides are the same and some are more upgraded.
Space Mountain is bigger,Big Thunder is bigger, there is a Indiana Jones Coaster in Adventureland.Fantasyland is more or less the same. The castel is more Fairytale like. The Studios have a new Crush Coaster ride which is fantastic, the Tower of error will open next month.
Plus you can easily walk from one park to the Other, they are right next to each other..
Hope thats informative. If you want to know more, please ask.
Take care

Good Morning Everyone!!!

Writing from very cold CT, and can't wait to be sitting by the pool, exploring the ruins, or shopping the ports in about 6 months.

We are traveling with 4 other people, but my non-traditional family consists of:

Myself: Eric
Husband(Spouce): Jason
Daughter (13yo): Becca

This will be our second disney cruise, our first was two years ago on an Eastern Voyage. We had such a great time, and people treated us so well, that we will be back again in April.

My daughter is hoping to make friends with other teenagers before going on the trip, so if any of you have teenagers, and they would like to talk with other teenagers before the trip, please send me a private message.

Look forward to hearing from all of you

Thanks, Conny I found your picutes and really enjoyed them. How did you get a picture when main street was so empty? Was there no one there or was it very early or late in the day. I love the castle! Thanks for sharing.
