Crowds will probably be larger than what would be considered "normal" for that time... especially since the Star Wars races have been moved to the weekend of the 22nd.

For what it's worth, NYC spring break is the week leading up to Easter, so count out those people for the week after...

NYC public schools are closed from April 10-18 for Easter and Passover. The Catholic schools usually close the week after Easter, so that would be April 17-21. You can count on both those weeks being crowded.

Hi, fellow Masshole here. We're holding off until April vacation 2018 because of where Easter falls in 2017. Went in April 2015 and had an amazing time, good crowds, good weather. Easter just falls horribly for us in Mass for 2017 spring break.

Also, something to really keep in mind is that with the well-documented staffing reductions in the parks (and as a result they are lowering capacity on rides), the higher crowd levels will be magnified in my opinion.

Some speculate that the staffing is right for crowded times and "right-sized" for medium/slow times, such that your lines and waits will be similar no matter what. I'm a follower of crowd calendars, but also take the Touring Plan dite's advice that a good touring plan for your day is more important than the science of getting the perfect day or perfect week. Do your best with the schedule you have to work with and have a sensible touring plan!
