April 16 2005? Eastern Magic? 4/16/05

:bored: Still waiting for our documents.

We are leaving on the 13th and are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I did breakdown and add on the REAS on Monday. Made Palo and the spa ressies that day. Our anniversary is on the 12th :love2: (It's also DH B-day) and we don't have anything planned to celebrate. Our DD turns six on the 16th and we have really only been thinking about how to celebrate that. We read about the REAS a while ago and didn't pursue it. I was thinking over the weekend that I want to have a bit of time with just me and DH. So REAS helps with that. Also I'm glad to not have to run around fretting about ressie when we get on the ship.

I have a question about logistics for the Palo tea get-together. Is one of us going to make a ressie for all of those interested in going to the tea? Or should we each make a ressie? I think we covered this before, but I couldn't find it and I really didn't want to read through the whole thread again. If one person is making the ressie do they need any info about the others attending or does Palo only want to know how many for the ressie?

Can someone tell me what DW, DD and DS ... stand for? I'm new to this discussion board business. Thanks.

We are also new members of the Disney Vacation Club and have yet to recieve our cruise documents. When should we expect to recieve them?

Hi David - We are flying out on Friday from Albany on Southwest at 3:00pm. Can't wait to hang out at the Hyatt pool and begin our vacation. Maybe we'll see when you arrive.

Beginning to get very excited. A little more than 3 weeks to go. :cheer2:

See ya on board,
Robin

DW - Dear or Darling Wife
DD - Dear or Darling Daughter :earsgirl:
DS - Dear or Darling Son :earsboy:
DH - Dear or Damn Husband :love2:

Hollua,
Are you flying out of Logan? We're leaving on the 13th as well on Song, can't wait to see the new Terminal A.

All,
Still no docs here, anyone else booked with Dreams and still waiting? :hourglass

Sue

Sue- We are leaving out of Logan in the afternoon. As soon as my DD gets off of her morning kindergarten bus, we are hitting the MassPike. :Pinkbounc We are flying with Jetblue. We didn't plan on cruising until fairly late. It was very difficult and expensive to find a flight, especially nonstop. By leaving on Wednesday, we saved enough in airfare to pay for the hotel stay. Luckily we have leftover park tickets. So other than food, I feel like we are getting two free park days added to the cruise. :cool1:

We also had a difficult time getting flights. I kept trying through southwest and the one day they changed their dates to when we were leaving I missed it. I could not get the flights I wanted and ended up getting a flight to FLL on thursday and have to drive up to Orlando. It stinks we have to drive but on the other hand we are getting in 2 days early and now are going to the magic Kingdom for one day. It was killing me to be so close and not go there, and now I am!!!

My flight thru southwest cost me around $360 one way for all 4 of us. I then had a hard time getting return flights so we decided to drive to see my cousin in Atlanta. So it has turned out to be the longest vacation we have ever taken.

My Docs arrived TODAY!!! :cool1: We booked through Dreams Unlimited. We booked our air through DCL and leave Logan at 6am Sat morning, connect in Atlanta, arrive in Orlando at 11:59am. Not thrilled with the late arrival, but at least we'll be headed for our first Disney cruise on the MAGIC!!!!

 Got home from work and waiting for me are the docs
OK, now I can really start putting things together!!!

Can't stand this snow anymore! Can't wait to be on board sippin' drinks and enjoying the hot sun! 3 1/2 weeks left.

:hourglass

Hi Hollua!

I checked on the "tea" reservations and my TA said that I can only make up to two reservations with the REAS package. :confused3 I had originally told her for 3 since there was only 3 of us interested at the time. She did say that we can just add the extra person once we board. So far I have Spoon203, Hollua and me.

Oh, got our documents! Where by our door as we came back from Disneyland.

I just spend the entire morning (work is slow :smooth: ) reading the restaurant board and making PS for where we are going to eat for the 3 days before our cruise. So glad there is dining rotation and I don't have to plan dining and activities for 7 days :cool1: .

Sue

:cool1: Documents arrived today.

Sue-Thanks for mentioning TJ Maxx. I looked there today for a swimsuit. They have more choices there then I've seen anywhere else (for those who want a one piece). :sunny:

I've got the docs and a swimsuit. Once I pick up the sunscreen, I'm good to go.

Hi fellow shipmates,
Do we have to fill out the Bahamas Immigration forms? :confused3 I know Castaway Cay is in the Bahamas, but don't recall needing the immigration form for there. Don't think we need them for St. Maarten and St. Thomas either, anyone know for sure?

Also, just one payment authorization form for each stateroom, correct?

Thanks

Sue
