Re: sailaway party

we have done it two ways in the past

whoever wants to can meet on deck 10, starboard side (facing the port) at 3:30, right above the Goofy pool to meet and talk - I can hand out the bracelets there

Then we have the drill at 4:00

Or we can meet at the same location at 4:30, after the drill at the beginning of the sailaway party - only problem with this is that is will be very loud with all the music, and difficult to talk and meet

I like the idea of meeting while it is quieter at 3:30, then we could all re-group at 4:30 too!!!

I just can't get over the $30K to spent for the 8 of us. Plus my son is a Minister and can't have 3 Sundays off, (the Aug repo, and have to spent a few days looking around) they frown on 2. I think about the 3 Cruises we could do for that money so it wasn't a hard decision. If I don't take them I'd feel about the wife and I going.

Oh well 8 days and were in Fla Decided to cut down on the packing and bring a bathing suit and fancy jammies for formal night.

I like the 3:30 idea too. This way the kids can meet and greet without so much excitement.

I suggest we plan for 3:30 for whomever can meet at deck 10 - starboard (right side) above the Goofy pool

Then we can use that location as a staging location for 4:30 once the sailaway begins to meet others who couldn't make the 3:30 meeting

If i was to guess for amount of kids at the greet

30 kids are registered on the board for our trip

19 kids have asked for the bands

so i would guestimate about 20 kids at the greet between the 2, 3:30 and 4:30 get togethers

Here is a link to look at our Door sign for the cruise. We did these on the last cruise and it made it real easy for the kids to find our stateroom. We print it on an inkjet magnetic sheet that sticks to the door.

Thanks! Actually, I should give the credit to Roger!!! Even though I'm an art director in real life--he's our "Official Disney Sign Maker" of the family. What can I say, Disney inspires!!

Well, we are leaving for WDW tomorrow morning. The kids are in bed and the bags are packed and waiting by the front door. All we need is a crane to lift them into the car and off we go. Roger is taking his laptop so we can still get our emails and read the DisBoards.

Matthew can't wait. He has been waking up each morning and giving us the countdown. He started about 60 days ago!!! He said that he can't wait to wake up and say, "Today's the day!"
