I haven't been on in a couple of days and things have been busy here! I will have to catch up in a few. Seems reading about the possibility of a stomach virus on a recent cruise over on the main board may have told my body to catch it!! :scared1: Thankfully it stopped today, but I still feel blah, but have 18 days to be back to normal!

Hi Deb,
So they eat lunch as part of the club? When we cruised with RCCL you had to pick them up for lunch time and drop them back off. We seemed to spend a lot of time dropping off and picking up.

Vickie

You can drop them off at 9 am (earlier on port days) and not see hide nor hair of em until midnight or later. The clubs do not close during the day. It is one thing I love about them.

Here at home I've been trying to walk at least 5 days a week. On my previous cruises I haven't been able to get up and get going before my family, but...I was thinking if I had someone to meet I would definately be up on deck at the appointed time. My dad is a walker and will be out but I was hoping for some new conversation. Any takers?

Gina

I have been able to be there by 6:30 am on previous cruises. I nap during the day. I will join u. We'll figure out a muster station to meet at and if I'm late--just start walking and I'll meet u on the other side.

Does anyone know where you can get lanyards with zippered KTTW holders? Do they sell them on the ship? Can you get them at the Disney store? Please let me know if anyone has any tips for this.

Thanks Bonnie

I would love to try to get in on the walking as well. I'm so early to rise on vacations ... even on our last cruise, i woke the kids and we played basketball and ping pong as the sun was coming up ... it was awesome!! I'll post a few pics later today!

Hi everyone,

50 degrees in Massachusetts and it feels great. Friday we are expecting a wintering mix and with that said the cruise can not come soon enough.

Are any of the teens signed up for teen events on Castaway Cay? Just in case by some miracle my 14 yr old decides to leave my side I would hate for him to want to join the group on CC and find that is completely booked. I would rather book it and cancel it if the need be.

Finally I am feeling excited about the cruise and started packing. I did buy my DS (7) goggles and a snorkel so when we visit the islands and CC I do not need to rent them for him. I think it is the best money I spent so far.

Can anyone tell me where I can buy the UV protection shirt for him? He has great olive skin and browns beautifully with SPF 50 but I would rather be safe than sorry. I have seen children as well as adults get fried from the sun. It is so sad. Believe me I love the sun and to tan but that is not the way to do it.

I promise not to put a toy gun in my carry on luggage this time. Now that I look back on that event, the reactions of the security personnel were priceless. They almost seemed disappointed when they removed a red wooden toy gun.

I am still looking for a family picture to post.

I had read in a few places about movies showing while we are on board. It is to bad that they are not just listed on the web site but you have to call. I thought I would save a few phone calls. Here are the movies that will be playing.

College Road Trip
Dan in Real Life
Enchanted
Pirates 2
National Tresure 2
Ratatoule (sp)
Step Up ? I may have missed more to this title
Game Plan
Wild Hogs
Under Dog

You can definitely purchase them at the port, but I'm not so sure they are the zippering kind. Any purchases at the port must also be made after you check in and get your KTTW card as they don't take cash in the port ... only charges to your card.

I would check out ebay quite frankly ... I got a few there that are disney themed that zipper shut (like for change) and also have a plastic ID holder on the back although that part is not secured in any way, I believe. I will post a pic for you!

kat

if you go to ebay, check out item #190207900365

it doesn't show you a picture of the back but i am almost 100% positive that the id holder is not 100% secure but they can put the card in the zippered part.

Yay, more walkers.

We'll have to pick a time and meet place. I think I read in my Passporter that there is a scheduled morning walk. Maybe we should start there on Sunday morning.

Much appreciated!
My kids are excited about Road Trip. LOL
I definitely want to see the National Treasurer 2.

I am up for a walk every morning!!!!! need to get in shape for soccer.

Just let me know where and when.

Still no documents and starting to wonder. Called Disney and they said that I was suppose to have received them on Monday and that if they don't show up in a week or two don't worry! Maybe I am being paranoid but with all the identity theft I am getting anxious about where my mail is.

On a separate topic. I asked Disney how I should pack my curling irons. She said I had to have them in my carry on and she said I wouldn't be allowed to carry my flat iron. What is the difference in the two? I won't bring the flat iron because they said not to but I can't help but wonder if one is more dangerous than the other?

Well, shut my mouth and call me a tater tot! As I was writing about not getting our documents they arrived!

I'll check back in a bit, have to read my stuff!

Wait a minute I can not bring my flat iron? I have brought that thing everywhere. With this unruly hair it is a must. I can not pack it in my checked luggage. When did the "no curling iron or flat iron" on board rule go in to effect????:scared1:

Anybody have a clue of the currency for St. Thomas and St. Marten?

I suspect american cash, but you never know.

I believe the US Dollar is accepted. On pretty much all the islands most of the cruise ships go to will take the US Dollar. I know Cayman will only give you back Cayman money---isn't that nice of em. LOL!

That's what I don't understand. She said I could bring the curling irons but not the flat iron. They basically are the same. In fact my flat iron has one of those automatic shut off thingies. I hope someone can shed some light on the situation. I don't want to be tackled by Disney security. I hear those Mickey hands are huge!:rotfl: :rotfl:

mcwolf Anybody have a clue of the currency for St. Thomas and St. Marten?
Both take U.S currency

Are we talking about an iron for clothes or a flat iron to straighten hair? Irons for clothes aren't allowed due to the fire hazard. While yours may have the automatic shut-off switch, many of the older travel ones do not. It is something that is easily provided by Disney in the laundry rooms or you can send them out for pressing.

A curling iron isn't exactly something they can supply to be used by the masses.

You'll see me wrinkled. LOL! I don't iron at home let alone on vacation.
