>> April 1, 2012 - Disney Dream Spring Break Frenzy! <<

Big News!!!
I finally solidified my dining plans for the five days in Disney after the cruise and got rid of all my extra reservations! I am no longer a hoarder!!
Here is our plan after the cruise
Thursday - Hollywood Studios Fantasmic Dining Package with Mamma Melrose (new restaurant for us)
Friday - Epcot Dinner at Via Napoli (new restaurant for us)
Saturday - Magic Kingdom Dinner at 'Ohana ( new for DH and I, not new for the rest of the crew they went in November and loved it!)
Sunday - Animal Kingdom - Easter buffet dinner at Cape May Cafe
Monday - Magic Kingdom - last day :( Traditional lunch at The Plaza and then stroll out to make our way back to the Swan and our trip home!
This makes me so sad to type! I have been a very lucky girl this past year. Four trips to WDW since April of 2011. Loved having an Annual Pass, but it is over!! DH says we need a break! No more Disney in 2012. I have to start plotting 2013...
Debbie

These all look great! We're doing Mama's, too, and Ohana's for Easter breakfast. Shhh...I'm still hoarding one...we have a character meal scheduled early on the day of our arrival. We have it scheduled again after the cruise, only if we miss the first due to a flight delay or something. But, I made the ressie before the new cancellation rules took effect (confirmed this with Disney, and they were fine with my plan), so if our flight is late we can cancel and keep the one for the next week. Otherwise, we'll cancel the other as soon as we can. Shhh...don't tell! ;)

But as long as you cancel it's ok! Someone must have cancelled their 'hoarded' breakfast at Chef Mickey's because I managed to book one last week, despite the Unofficial Guide saying normally you need to do it 6 months in advance! It's at an ok time - 7:45 but is the end of Easter week, Thursday 12th (the day we go home :sad1:) There weren't any others the rest of the week though!

Oh yes, we'll definitely cancel if we make it in time. We can just tell them when we check in, I imagine. We were trying for Chef Mickey's for Easter morning, but there were no choices (as in they weren't open for ressies yet) for that morning. The CMs didn't know why they couldn't do it either. this was 180 days out, too. We decided on Ohana's anyway, but it was still odd. :confused3.

31 days, gang!! Excited to see who's in my FE group, since it closes tomorrow, right?

RemoCat... I am home sick today, terrible cold, happy it's now and not in a couple of weeks... but sadly when my DS picked up the mail.. nothing, I'm getting a little worried.

Remo Cat - congrats on passing your certification with flying colors!!!!! now you can enjoy the trip.:goodvibes

We still have not rec'd our trip documents yet either..... but I'm really hoping that they arrive in the next day or so.

Need to go back to working on my FE gifts.... then I need to start putting our FE together. Still trying to decide how I want it to look.:woohoo:

Re: evaluation - Thank you!! :)

Re: documents - Same here...if they don't show up by the end of the week, it will worry me.

Can't wait to see our list so I can finalize everything! We have a two-pocket FE (ordered on ebay), one pocket for hubby and I, the other for the kids, but now kind of wishing I had done one each for the kids so they could have their own pouch. Oh well, it's still cute, even though it's not that long. :)

Yuck, so sorry you're not feeling well! I am paranoid about keeping us all healthy the closer we get to the trip. Keeping everyone filled up with healthy food, vitamins, rest, etc. Washing hands like crazy people...and of course my poor kiddos have no idea why I'm so concerned this winter, other than "Mommy just wants to keep everyone healthy!" HA!

I find myself getting frustrated when I open a mailbox with nothing but junk! Really hoping it's here by the end of the week. When we went on the preview, it came almost exactly 4 weeks out. Here's hoping soon!

We are in PA. It was pouring rain so I went down with an umbrella and grabbed my nephew from the bus (cruising with my sister in the next cabin) and told him we needed to run to the mailbox on the way back as our cruise Documents might be inside! We ran and...nothing. He then asked, why are these documents so important? My answer: I have no idea, but I really want em.

Don't worry, everyone..... your cruise docs will come. I promise! :littleangel: Last year, they started arriving 31 days prior to the cruise and it still took almost a week before everyone received theirs. One year, we didn't get our docs until 10 days before our cruise. By the way, the docs are processed from an outside agency.

If you booked through a local travel agency, they probably have your documents, so you might want to give them a call. If you booked on your own through DCL or with DU, then your documents come directly to you.

To be truthful, there's nothing in there you need. You can get a spare set of luggage tags at the port. All of your info is already in the DCL computers. You print your documents from DCL's website - and even if you forget to bring those, they will provide another set for you to sign. :thumbsup2

The only purpose they really serve is to give you that warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing your cruise is getting nearer! :rotfl:

pixiedust: pixiedust: Here is Pixie Dust that everyone receives theirs tomorrow!!! pixiedust: pixiedust:

Hey All...Just a quick FE update...
I split the group and have started to PM everyone their list! So far I think only five people have gotten the list. I am going to try and get the rest out tonight but I am fading fast. I have Tae Kwon Do on Monday and Wednesday and it is such a tiring night. DH is sitting here watching his nightly show - Top Gear! He loves Top Gear and Formula One...so we'll see how much I can get done. Not to worry if I don't get to you tonight I will get it tomorrow during my work day...
Debbie

Ok, I am really excited for having my FE list soon!! I just can't wait! It's one more thing to check off my list!! :lovestruc

If you are participating in the FE you should have your list as of now!! I just sent the lists out to everyone through PM. If you didn't get it PM me and I will resend.
Going to bed all...falling asleep at the computer!!
Debbie

Thank you for breaking the list up and for doing all that work. We finally have our FE gift planned and ready, so having the list is extremely helpful!

We got our documents several days ago, but I agree that besides luggage tags it is mostly just an info guide. It is kinda exciting to get though. Hope everyone gets theirs soon!

Hey all...
If anyone needs a last name or more info than what I provided let me know through a PM and I will get you that info.

Also - today is March 1....one month from today we sail!!!!

And the cut off for the FE is today! If anyone else wants to join let me know... Group #2 has one less family then Group #1.

Have a great day everyone. Dreaming of boarding the Dream right now! When I think of it being only one month away I know I can make it through this crazy month. No days off and MSA (state assessments)!

Debbie

Debbie
Thank you so much for all that you have done in organizing the FE list and all the great bits of knowledge you have shared!!!!!:worship:

Reality is now setting in that our trip will be here soon.... can't wait. Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!:cool1:

Hey All!
Since a lot of us on this thread are teachers or are married to teachers I wanted to share this email that I got today at work... We are gearing up for our state assessments that will happen here in the next two weeks. This was too funny!

Severe Weather Testing Protocols During~(fill in your state's acronym) Testing
Should a severe weather situation occur during testing, please remain
calm. To display any kind of anxiety would be a testing irregularity and
must be reported.

Please do not look out the window to watch for approaching tornadoes.
You must monitor the students at all times. To do otherwise would be a
testing irregularity and must be reported.

Should students notice an approaching tornado and begin to cry, please
make every effort to protect their testing materials from the flow of
tears and sinus drainage.

Should a flying object come through your window during testing, please
make every effort to ensure that it does not land on a testing booklet
or an answer sheet. Please make sure to soften the landing of the flying
object so that it will not disturb the students while testing.

Should shards of glass from a broken window come flying into the room,
have the students use their bodies to shield their testing materials so
that they will not be damaged. Have plenty of gauze on hand to ensure
that no one accidentally bleeds on the answer documents. Damaged answer
sheets will not scan properly.

Should gale force winds ensue, please have everyone stuff their test
booklets and answer sheets into their shirts being very careful not to
bend them because bent answer documents will not scan properly.

If any student gets sucked into the vortex of the funnel cloud, please
make sure they mark at least one answer before departing and of course
make sure they leave their answer sheets and test booklets behind. You
will have to account for those.

Should a funnel cloud pick you, the test administrator, up and take you
flying over the rainbow, you will still be required to account for all
of your testing materials when you land so please take extra
precautions. Remember, once you have checked them out, they should never
leave your hands.

When rescue workers arrive to dig you out of the rubble, please make
sure that they do not, at any time, look at or handle the testing
materials. Once you have been treated for your injuries, you will still
be responsible for checking your materials back in. Search dogs will not
be allowed to sift through the rubble for lost tests. Unless of course
they have been through standardized test training.

Please do not pray should a severe weather situation arise. Your
priority is to actively monitor the test and a student might mark in the
wrong section if you are praying instead of monitoring. I'm sure God
will put war, world hunger, and crime on hold until after testing is over. He knows how important this test is.

Thank you.
