Okay, WE visited back in 2003 , stayed at WL. WE had a great deal as it was off-season. Now going at peak time I am not so familiar with discounts available. Heres my dilemna We'd like to try a new deluxe hotel(DH needs queen size beds) preferable the Yacht Club but the cost is just astronimical even with aaa discounts.

I wanted to try the port orleans with the trundle - but as we are a family of four, I doubt we'll get it.

What are the chances of a great promotion or discount codes for deluxe hotels in april - specifically april 14th? This is spring break so I am not holding my breath!

Otherwise any suggestions for a good deluxe that is less expesive (besides AKL, too remote).

How about ap rates - how can I get more informationa bout this?

Thanks!

Right now AAA are available for April 06. There were AP rates available for last Easter break. I'm pretty sure that they were released around Dec. 26th. I guess we'll just have to wait and see for this year... :sunny:

I have been watching for discounts since last september. We have received great discounts during spring break the past 3 years. This year is the latest that we have gone looking for discounts. Last year they were put out in october. We also received 3 mailings for discounts and so far this year nothing. Looking at the rate increases in room and ticket prices and the lack thereof of discounts, disney must be doing very weell these days.

My BRP with AP for April 3-7 at the YC is ~$314 a night with tax. HTH

I've been watching/waiting too. Right now I have AAA discount at CSR.

But it's sort of disappointing that they would seemingly only send out lots of good offers when things are slow and not when they are doing 'well'. kwim? I mean I know they need to make money, but they also have to realize how expensive it is to go there and how much of a treat/bonus it is to get a 'deal' - no matter how small!! :)

I think Disney will make money even if they offer a discount. I'm the type of person if I'm budgeted for a moderate and a code comes out for a deluxe for not that much more a night, I'll book the deluxe, hence, Disney will get more of my money.

I went last Spring break/Easter and got the WL woods view for 189.00 per night. I was upgraded at checkin to a courtyard view room.

I have been on these boards for many years and there always seems to be some type of discount when I travel. I might not have ever used it until 2005, but something was always offered.

But, if the Deluxes are already full of people paying rack rate or using a AAA discount, they don't need to worry about offering an enticement to get people to upgrade from moderate to deluxe.

It's supply and demand. Right now, apparently demand is filling the supply.

I wonder how many people are holding reservations in hope there will be a discount. When time gets closer they can cancel and go to a back up plan.

I'm always amazed at the price some will pay to stay at a hotel. I have the CR booked and I'm ready to call and cancel and book at a moderate. I can stay at a moderate the whole week for the price of CR for 4 nights. I wasn't waiting for a code, it would've been nice though.

I love Disney no matter what. Onsite/Offsite, I've had awesome trips in the past!
