Applying AP towards Already booked room same as last year???

I currently have a room booked at AKL for July at the AAA discount. Last year I had booked my room with the AAA discount and when AP rates came out I called and had Disney apply the AP rate and I recieved a credit as I had already paid in full. I was waiting to book with BRP and then cancel the booking I already have, but I'm assuming I don't have to now?? Is it like last year....just wait for Ap rates and then call and have the AP rate applied to my current booking instead of AAA??? Can I pay off my current booking now and then switch to the AP when they are released? Anyone know for sure?? Thanks!

I think you need to call and ask. People have been trying to upgrade all morning and finding nothing available with the discount at some of the deluxes. So, if you wait too long, you might lose out. Let us know what you find out!

Thanks! I guess I'll call today. My trip isn't until July and if it's like last year, I won't be able to apply the AP until May, anyway. It will be nice to pay it off in advance, though, if possible.

The AP rates for July aren't out yet, so probably not. But they could be released any time so keep your eye on the boards!
