Apple ipods any sales??

i was wondering if anyone knows if any of the black friday sales will be having apple ipods? i need a shuffle and ipod nano? thanks

Probably not. Apple has some very strict 'reseller' agreements. I work for a retailer that sells iPods, and we cannot discount iPods at all, even when we are having Private Sales, or Customer Appreciation Sales.

Some minis are being sold below retail, because they are being discontinued in favour of the nano, but I don't think you'll see any in any Black Friday ads.

I think you may see some combo deals-like in the Black Friday ads Best Buy will have the nano Ipod with a $25. gift card for ITunes.
I want to get one for DH, so I waiting a little longer in hopes of some sort of package deal...

last year Apple ran a 10% off sale on computers and the iPods on their website and if I recall correctly they also had free shipping.

It wasn't widely announced beforehand. I got up that morning and had an email in my inbox about it -- immediately clicked and got an iPOD mini for my son.

I don't know if they will do that this year or not, but keep an eye out if you don't find one anywhere else.

Your only chance like others have said is through a discount only at your apple store. Apple will pull re-sellers license in a heartbeat if they found you selling them at discount. Oakley Sunglasses are the same way. And they are all priced the same to each person weather the retailer is ordering 200 or 2000 everyone pays the same price. So if you see some super cheap ones on e-bay be very wary of them.

Does anyone know if you can get additional discounts in addition to the educator discount at the online apple store? I have read the info on a possible 10% off for Black Friday and I was wondering if that was able to be used with the educator discount. The 10% off would be a little better than just the educator discount...any info would be appreciated, thanks!!!

If you are a member at Sam's club they have the Black Nano 4g for $225. I thought that was a great buy considering I paid $199 for two white 2g's a few weeks ago at Target.

Yeah....that is an awesome deal at Sams Club.

I dont know if it is true but I have heard that there is a shortage of the Nanos for the Christmas season. I had a hard time finding one myself a few weeks back.

Thank you so much for that tip! I ordered two nano's yesterday for my two teens. (that is pretty much their Christmas with a few little things thrown in)

I also ordered covers for them (the ones that look like leather wallets) and the "running accessory" to save for my daughter's birthday. The wallets were not discounted but the running thing was. Plus, it was free shipping.

I was afraid to wait until Black Friday since I have to work that day and would most likely not be able to catch any early bird deals anywhere. I feel so much better knowing they are on their way to me ahead of the big rush next week.

I got my DD the Nano 4gb for $215, it was $245 and I had an Aafes $30 off coupon for purchases over $200. If it goes on sale anytime in the next 30days for under $245 they will honor that sale and refund the additional $. Aafes still comes through every now and then.

I was searching & searching for an ipod mini yesterday myself, seems like ALL major websites are out of stock - best buy, circuit city, target, etc

I ordered the 6GB pink mini (the EXACT one I was searching for) as a refurbished model for $199 + free shipping. I ordered in the early afternoon & it shipped that same evening, got the confirmation that it is shipped fedex ground & should be here in a few days.

via Fedex. It was very cool to see that yesterday they were in Anchorage Alaska, and today they are here . (with the current snow that we have it actually resembles Anchorage, Alaska.)

Since I had them engraved, I just had to open up one. I wouldn't want my kids to be disappointed if they opened their brother/sister's gift by mistake.

I don't think my "incases" will be here before Christmas, but that is not a big deal. It seems that the pink one is sold out everywhere.

It absolutely amazes me that something that small, could cost so much. But - that's technology for you!

I really want the IPod from Best buy with that free $25 gift card-- I get credit with that best buy card (not a credit card, the frequent buyer thing) plus for items for my kids I buy the extended warranties quite often. But will they HAVE any in stock?? If website sold out, I mean. they could be holding some back for black friday, I guess.

I may just order from Apple.com and get student discount, it is almost the same thing price wise.
