I really want the IPod from Best buy with that free $25 gift card-- I get credit with that best buy card (not a credit card, the frequent buyer thing) plus for items for my kids I buy the extended warranties quite often. But will they HAVE any in stock?? If website sold out, I mean. they could be holding some back for black friday, I guess.

I may just order from Apple.com and get student discount, it is almost the same thing price wise.

Both Sam's Club and Target had no Ipod Nanos(4GB) in stock. The guy at Sam's didn't know when they would get more in......so I went ahead and ordered from the Apple website with the educators discount. As some one said in a previous post, you can get the 4GB ($229) for not much more than you would pay at Best Buy for the 2GB.
Last year I bought the pink Ipod minis for 2 of my daughters. It was the best investment I ever made because hardly a day goes by that they don't have them on. Unfortunately, one of my daughters left hers in her car in the high school parking lot and someone broke into her car and stole it. Car insurance doesn't cover it and our homeowners has a $250 deductible, so it's a complete loss. She was heart broken, so I said I would pay $100 towards a new one. She came up with the rest(she works at the local movie theater).
I think I'm going to take out a personal property policy(or whatever it's called) on our laptops and I Pods). The insurance girl recommended it and said it was inexpensive. This would have no deductible. Did anyone else ever do this??

My youngest DD is disabled and uses an expensive tablet computer to talk. I took out a personal property policy on it. For about $5000 of coverage, I think it was about $80 a year.

UPDATE: My friend works at Best Buy. I asked her about the iPod nanos. She said they WILL have some for Friday, they are holding them back for the sale on Friday. I would assume they will not have many-- they open at 5am. I will try there first, if they are sold out I will go to Apple.com

Not sure if anyone looking for the IPOD has a Meijer store near them but they will have the IPOD Shuffle for $99.97 on THURSDAY. Plus you get a coupon to mail in for a free $50 giftcard to Meijer with this purchase!

My friend is REALLY interested in this. Is this a good deal? How much is this model usually?

when I looked it up with the educators discount , the one I wanted was still $99 , the only freebie was the free shipping , big deal ! . I paid $79 for it today at Sears , the 512 MB shuffle Ipod. It's advertised on their flyer today.

target.com has the nano for $199, and I'm sure there's probably a 10% off coupon floating around somewhere. That would probably take care of the tax & shipping costs.

I bought the green Nano a couple of weeks ago for DD10's birthday last week. Got it at Circuit City for $189, which was the best price I could find at the time. This may have been a web-only deal, but I ordered it online and went to the store to pick it up a day or so later. No taxes here in NH, so $189 was the total cost.

Best Buy is going to have the 2G Nano for $199 with a $25 Itune cards on Black Friday. Also Buy.com if you apply for a credit card you get approved instantly and you get a $30 savings on your first pruchase if made in 30 days.

I think I am confused?? Isn't the 2G Nano only $149? I know I only paid $139 for the silver one at Costco.

PC Connection is offering rebates on all ipods. www.pcconnection.com

I just got a 30gb Black ver 5.5 for $249 less a $30 mail in rebate for my daughter

They also have the 2gb nano for $149 less a $20 rebate

and lots of other models. Free ground shipping on orders of $249 or more and no sales tax in some states.

Those are good deals. I live about 10 minutes from their main headquarters too! (although I don't think you can "shop" there since they are mostly mail-order). Oh well - I'm happy with the price I got and the fact that I got the exact one she wanted and now don't have to worry about it.

This thread originated in 2005. That's why there's a difference in prices posted. :goodvibes
