Appetizer allowed on DDP when ordering the Chef's Excursion at Le Cellier?

Chef's Excursion - A three course dining selection: Wild mushroom risotto, 14 oz NY Strip Steak, and Chocolate Bread Pudding. Add wine pairing $26.99 per person. - $34.99

Of course I know the wine wouldn't be included but I'm assuming one could also add an appetizer. Can anyone confirm? Sounds yummy - I love risotto and the bread pudding sounds good.

I would assume that the mushroom risotto is the appetizer. Are you wondering if you can substitute for something else?

I've never dined in any establishment where risotto is served as an appetizer - kind of like serving a baked potato as an appetizer but I guess it's possible.

A TS meal on the DDP includes appetizer, entree, dessert and non alcoholic beverage. I just wanted to know if I'd have to pay OOP for an appetizer if I ordered the Chef's Excursion or would that be included?

Is this item still on the menu? I checked a couple of different menues and didn't see it listed. However they do have the 14 oz NY Strip Steak seperately so you could order that as your entree.

If they do offer the excursion, I would also understand the risotto to be the appetizer.

I agree, I don't think it's available any longer - but if it is, then yes, the risotto is considered the appetizer course (by the restaurant) so if you wanted something else, it'd have to be OOP.

Or, perhaps, as a substitution, if they'd be willing to do so.

Thanks everyone. Hopefully they'll still have it on the menu when we go next August. I don't think I'd need an appetizer - I was just curious.
