Well I was not around for the brouhaha but I'm glad you didn't leave Jade.

I do find it interesting that people were picking on you for your spelling. No one is perfect and I can understand your posts well enough. If I don't I'll just ask for clarification. I don't know that you should be the one to apologize though, perhaps those who were picking should be apologizing instead of you. Again, I wasn't here so I don't know but most of us won't care how you spell, as long as we can understand what you're asking/saying we are happy to have you!!!

well i frecked out and called the person a name i stooped low and i guess thats why im apoligizeing and I didnt want others who had saw my reaction to think less of me for the reaction but all of the posts from you all have kept me up today and I fill loved and cared about here. I think of you all as friends and apreciate you all.

I haven't been here that long, but if you knew me better you'd know I always have to put my 2 cents in!

I don't care how someone spells - I just know that you have always been helpful and considerate in every post I have ever seen from you, and I personally appreciate the advice you have given to me.

Keep your chin up, and no one knows what it is to walk in your shoes.

I'm not on here much, but I am glad whatever happened is over and you are here.

I post on many different forums, and there is always someone who is rude, just to be rude! We are all human and it is hard to ignore them.

Keep your chin up and know that complete strangers will support you here on the boards.

If I had been around last night, I may have had a few choice words too. I am a special education teacher and my son is a special education student. I fight for my student's and my son's rights every day!

I always enjoyed your posts!! I was thinking a couple of days ago, that there is a cool rhythm to your posts, all most like poetry.

I have seizures and after one, it takes me sometime to relearn how to say and type certain words. But I guess I am too vain, because I am constantly using the google tool bar to spell check my spelling. But that doesn't stop me from leaving out whole words in sentences

But I also learn how to spell the humdingers like restaurant, from spell check too.

Keep on posting!! I'm here most every day too. The DIS does some so homey after awhile, with good friends to visit with.

well as some know there was an altuercation last night. I apoligize to any one who had to read them. I get seriousely defincive when some one attacks my spelling.
I am only 23 and had to grow up so fast and not becouse I became a mother at 17. But becouse I was raised taking care of my father from 7-14. he died. It was sad Ive tryed to get over it but when he died i fell.
I hit my head and I have lost memory from before. It has been hard for me to re learn things and I some times doubt i will finish this home school program I started.
I do again Apoligize but please do not attack my spelling. Call me ugly call me names but if its couse my spelling I beg you not to.
I had A's all though my school years I hate the way I am but I have come to find this board as another home
so please forgive me and please dont start on my spelling if you dont understand it then move on alot have been able to understand it. Dangormouse,hound,jack and many more you have all been grate friends and again i apoligize

I would never attack somebody who has spelling problems or any kind of obvious disability. I've been there! I was in a car crash in 1998 and hit my head. I had to go through speech therapy to learn to speak again and literally had to re-learn how to read. I had been an honor student in college on my way to becoming a pharmacist. That car crash changed my life! I'm ok with where I am today, but it took a lot of time and love from my family to accept that the dreams I had in college will never happen.

So believe me, attacks on spelling, grammar, and intelligence are off limits in my book. I know the struggle that people have after such injuries. When I see somebody having difficulty with their writing, I automatically assume it is something beyond their control. I think many people who haven't been touched by these kinds of problems fail to realize that the person behind the misspelled words is doing her best. I like to think if they knew, they would be more patient.

Anyway, I would rather have you here on the board even if your spelling isn't perfect than to not have you at all and I'm sure the vast majority of people feel that way!

You have shown grace and class in this thread and posts here. I think that speaks a lot about your character. If nothing else, because of that one negative person, you've been shown that you really do have friends here on the DIS.

Just wanted to chime in that I feel there is a core group of regulars on the DL board and we all kinda are friends and don't pick on each other for anything or try to rile anyone up. I am sorry someone deciding your spelling skills were of the upmost importance and had to ruin your day. I am also sorry that others were quick to jump to conclusions. You have never been anything but nice to everyone who posts. I am surprised to hear others have left or "needed a break" from here. When I see the controversial threads or ones that hit my hot button, I try to stear clear. I hope everything mellows out and everyone feels welcome

Well, I just wanted to chime in there too. I hate bullies! Anyhoo... I am just very confident that if you continue to work at your schooling and your spelling that you will progress. Clearly you are very capable as you managed to figure out the board and had a great signature etc. (and I can spell, but find figuring that stuff out to be a challenge) But again, I agree that what really matters is that you love disney and you are always helpful, interesting and kind. I can see that you have been cheered again! Welcome back to the light side.

I'll have to admit that I noticed your posts in various threads, and I did recognize them as being hard to read because of the spelling/grammar mistakes, but with a bit of effort, I've always been able to decipher the meaning.

For some reason, I had assumed you were foreign and were starting to learn English as a second language. In other forums I frequent (some techie ones), I've seen posts that are obviously from a foreigner who is trying to communicate in a language with which he/she is only slightly familiar. Your posts just looked a bit like those to me.

Now that I know the story, which isn't too far from my assumption (it's almost like you have to re-learn English, no?), I will be able to give your posts the patience they deserve (yes, I'm admitting I've been impatient with them in the past, but I would never stoop to what was done to you). I feel bad for wondering to myself "why can't this person communicate better?" So THANK YOU for explaining the situation, and kudos to you for being strong enough to do so.

One suggestion, for when you get your signature privileges back: in some of those techie forums mentioned above, I've seen those foreign posters add a note to their signatures, something to the effect of "Pardon my English, I'm not very good at it yet." After what you've been through, perhaps you don't want to have to apologize like that, but maybe if your siggie had a brief blurb to help explain your situation, your readers could benefit from it. Again, just a suggestion...
