I called Loews and received a APH rate of 134 for my dates and the super saver rate is 171....is it worth getting the annual pass for this savings?

Also, which annual pass do i have to order?

Can I book the APH rate online or do I have to call back? I can't seem to get the rate on through the website.

I should also mention, I already have a 2 day park pass obtained through airmiles, can I use this park pass to upgrade to an annual pass?

Thx.

How many days are you going for? Yes, you can upgrade a park pass and yes, you should be able to book the APH rate online but sometimes there are rates that don't show up online. You just can't use the Power Pass. The other two passes will work.

I usually look up APH rates by entering my dates like usual. It will then list the reg prices. Near the top I click on "New Search" then enter in the promo box APH and search again. If APH are available for your dates it will list them. To get HRH obstructed view with APH rates, you have to call.

I would only get the AP if you plan to go more than once. For one trip, it's probably not worth it.

Thanks for telling me the way to find an APH rate!!! It worked.

We are definitely going to get an AP, but were going to wait till we are there in Dec as it is a bit of a hassle from the UK.

Would I need the pass before booking or at checkin?

Thanks for telling me how to display the APH rate. What is an obstructed view? Is it less expensive than the regular APH rate?

Thanks

Obstructed view is only available at HRH. It knocks about $10-12 off per night. You usually get a view of a rooftop or blocked by palm trees, AC units, etc. We got ours for $144/nt last year. Great if you don't care about the view. We're barely in our room anyway.

Anyone can book it but you just need to show an AP at check in. One discounted room per AP holder so a family of 4 can book up to 4 rooms.:cool1:

Thanks for that. So it looks like I had better try and get our passes before we leave rather than waiting till we are there. Would confirmation of the 'will call' be acceptable until we got the pass and showed it to them do you think?

You can buy it online and just print the page showing your purchased it.

Or tell them when you check in that you are on your way to get it right now as you have a ticket to upgrade to an AP and that you will stop back to show them the AP later that day.

Both the preferred and the one above that one qualifies for room discounts. The Power Pass annual pass does not qualify for room discounts.
