omg. where to begin? arts and crafts, homework, wrapping presents, putting groceries on before unpacking, backpacks, violins, put fruit bowl on, decorating for birthdays....
small kitchen table. We only even eat at it when the grand kid(s) are eating with us
Other than that playing board games with them if there is 4 or less.
Otherwise things are done at the dining room table
Mail that piles up
Cookie cooking racks
Wrapping gifts
Clean laundry temporarily
If I have to pick my 3 granddaughters up from
school it becomes the place for them to dump
their coats, laptops, backpacks, and lunch
boxes. Those kids have ALOT of stuff!
Just eating. Now the dining room table, we rarely eat on it. It holds things to go to the RV next time we go. Stuff to take my son's next time we go. I do try to keep it cleaned off since I do put different table cloths and table settings on it for the different seasons but alas, hubby likes to put stuff on it. Neither are used for work, we have an office downstairs for both of us for that.
Same. We have an island with an eating bar that nobody ever eats at. I use it for the same things I use the kitchen counters for. Our dining room table is used for eating and things like playing games, wrapping presents, DS's models and Lego, etc.
"Apart from eating..."
I don't understand. You can *eat* at the table? I thought it was just for endless piles of crap deposited by my teenager and husband??
